No i just saw them in a vision in 2001, While describing them and talking about it to a friend he said it would be called the Mighty, And i wen't on saying how i would make this corny that's Mighty Crafty joke too.
I could go on about what i saw that day all of which has fallen into place perfectly, But that's not about the Crafty.
I think it's actually a good thing as long as you don't leave it on the charger after it's fully charged, but like you I keep reading conflicting information.

Like @biohacker i see this as a good thing, remember we are talking Li-ion not Ni-MH or Ni-Cd so there is no memory effect (even with the old memory effect there was a lot of confusion about it which is where i think a lot of the different opinions come from), one benefit is less charge time giving cooler charging (remember as you said heats not good for batteries)
One reason people will say its bad is some devices use a full charge from empty to work out battery % (sort of) you might notice this with a phone or tablet where the device shuts down before reaching 0/2% when charged more frequently for shorter times.
Now charge time could also be adjusted due to the charge mode (cc,cv,tc) as the last part of this takes longer due to reduced power compared to the first part of the charge cycle but IMO this would not be something that you would notice unless getting anal with timing, although I'm only guessing about the way/method the crafty charges i have not rigged anything up to check.
I also agree leaving plugged in once fully charged is not the best thing to do, it shouldn't make any difference really as the crafty has protection inside and as long as that does its job everything is fine, unfortunately the way my head works i always think what if? Now IMO you have more chance of winning the lottery than your battery overcharging, but i still play the lottery knowing that i probably wont win but there's always that chance.
I charge mine both ways (full and short charges), as sometimes i do want extra bowls so run it flat, but either way IMO it wont have that much of a difference in overall battery life.
Best to use it the way that fits you most, enjoy it, use it, let it make you smile
. Its always a good thing to get a better understanding of battery safety or how to get the best out of them but remember to have fun 
as its easy to get wrapped up in getting the very best out of them, i know i have in the past
but you do loose some of the fun.

Hey fellas! My unit has now 112 hours on its clock. The last 12 hours I vaped only at one temperature. I found my sweet spot at 195°C. Nice flavourful hits nearly 12 minutes with a losely full packed chamber. I get still three of these out of one battery charge. Vape on!

Anyone else notice how hot the mouthpiece gets? Especially by the second/third session, with less battery life. It's getting annoying....

Never had a problem with this, even when I was doing back-to-back-to-back sessions with the mighty ( but it has a larger CU)

My Crafty's mouthpiece has never ever gotten hot to the point where it becomes distracting. The only part that gets hot is the upper part of the base unit and the CU.

I guess I'm alone in this. I've actually had to resort to Mr Mellish's uncomfortable suggestion to ahem, "wet" the mouthpiece to keep it cool... It seems to happen more on the second session...

Try to use higher temps like 190'C. It will decrease needed airflow and probably the temp of the mouthpiece, too.

Because it's has twice the battery life, and you can use it plugged in, even at 0% battery. It's not a true pass through however, and I should add that I don't own it- yet!
