Yeah, smooth as silk man. Combined with Lwien's suggestion for using hot water, it's really fantastic.

Me and my buddy tried seltzer water once too, with my first bub before discovering the inline HC, the D020-T... At the time thought it was great, but I dont remember if we were really just too stoned (which maybe proves the opposite lol). Maybe I'll try it again in this guy some time

Ok finally pulling the trigger on the nano vubbler after much deliberation and pic/video searching. Its tiny but seems to work pretty well with mods at least, hopefully it fits the Hopper...

Also for any interested in trying the Aquamizer instead, I just found a link to this much cheaper knock off on the Air thread:

Not as pretty, but could work pretty well still? Less risk at least...

I'm sorry I missed the weight. The review says 60g, so their claim of 58g sounds correct... Except that that is about 1/3 what I was expecting. For perspective, the goboof alfa is 105g, and is the most featherweight vaporizer I've ever held. The solo is 230. 60g is shocking, especially for an SS body. At first I was able to hold off because it just looked so heavy and no way was that going to be portable for me. I don't even understand how people can daily those big heavy ecig mods.

And a 135 price point. Oh no... I'm going to have to buy this aren't I? Oh no...

Oh one point that is bothering me- The review states that it holds .3g. Like the pax2/pax, this is an exorbitant amount to load in there. I could get by with a chamber of .05 very easily. In fact, that would be optimal. I hate how you load a vape up with lots of material, then can't finish it all in a session, so you get uneven results throughout the load. .3 would last me many days, and what if I want to run different strains and not juggle a bunch of partially used loads. It's just unappealing...

EXCEPT that the reviewer says that he can completely vape that .3 in three pulls. If that were true, it would mean that the grasshopper had extraction performance superior to the vapexhale cloud, which can completely vape .1 in about 2 pulls. OR, that means that the GH is awful at extraction, perhaps worse than a titan. So what's up?

Looks like the nano bubbler is for globe style atomizers, roughly 12mm and the Grasshopper is supposably 14mm. Probably won't fit without an adapter of sorts. Apparently the Grasshopper fits perfectly on a 14mm ground joint with the silicone mouth piece cover. Something to consider when shopping a bubbler for this unit.

The GH mouthpiece also tapers down towards the opening, should fit no problem. IMO

Yeah I already have 14mm reducer and 18mm bubbler I love. Just wanna try its it for a portable bubbler option bc I sold my pnwt knock off, and I was never able to get great results with that anyhow.

I was thinking GH might be a tad too big to stick it completey in, but since it tapers and has the silicone MP cover, I think it could work.... I will report the results of course @Krazzykid beat me to it.

@maremaresing being pure convection, you can load as little as you want, Buzz said it works with max .3 stuffed in (more uneven cook when doing so), but works fine with .1 and I imagine even less...

You know, once I have my GH it won't be hard at all for me to whip up a silicone adapter to fit any glass. PM me in a month or two and we'll make it work, I'd love to have a small portable water rig for my own needs anyway, so I'd be down to splurge on some glass as well!

I stand corrected, thanks Krazzykid. According to my casual Sunday Grasshopper "mock fitting", a 12mm globe bubbler will sit and seal on a tapered Grasshopper (at least in my experiment, ha).

@Shit Snacks, looks like it may fit but might topple a bit. I bet @Ratchett will come up with some nice adapters.

I found a 14mm diameter pen with a tapered nose, cut a silicone sleeve and fit it on a Dabz globe bubbler:

Ofcourse @Ratchett, I know you'll be able to help me make it work regardless. Its gonna be great. Could work with the Lily even perhaps (and hopefully indica, if we ever find out whats going on over there lol)

Thanks @Nube Scrutator nice mock fitting, a little tough but certainly promising! I'd be fine if this required me to hold both Hopper and bubbler, they're both so tiny I could still hold them together in one hand I think...

With regards to my prior question, someone asked the same of buzz in his review comments. His answer was more welcome and enlightening:
"No definitely not. I was on the highest temp, taking HUGE rips through a bubbler. You can adjust the temps and make a bowl last much longer. I used it while I was out snowboarding for a day and one bowl lasted me all day (8 hits). I would just take two draws up the lift and put it away and I was more than good each time. Just start on the lower temps and work your way up through the sessions."

So that seems more reasonable. I really shouldn't cave on this. I need less vapes not more.

EDIT: In the pictures, it shows the pens on lanyards. I understand that's just to keep them from walking off. The thing is, pen clips like that one are prone to bending and warping, losing their effectiveness. This should have a lanyard, or a less fragile clip :/

You can see right there. Just security wire cables. But that end part is thick enough steel that a hole at a slant, with the edges beveled, would accommodate a small split ring or cord very nicely. THAT is the retention option I want to see. I'm just really biased against clips like that, because every one I've run across has bent or ripped off pretty quickly. For something that is going in and out of pockets of unknown thickness, you could run into a situation where your vape gets lost, very easily.

Now that I think about it, that end part is thick enough that you could put a hole in at a horizontal angle, or even just cut a slant off the end but leave a tab with a hole in it sticking up. If it's a removable piece, it could be an accessory.

I'm pretty sure those are the chargers.

I kind of wish they had a lanyard attachment too, really. I'm kind of glad the chargers are so unique, instead of just being a generic micro-usb or something. I don't have to worry about someone accidentally (or not accidentally...) walking off with my cord thinking they can use it.

I believe those were taken bc of someone mentioning the charger as a lanyard style so people can always have the charger conveniently with them... i think

That's an interesting angle. I wonder how strong those magnets are for it to be that effective. And how robust that cable is not to break with the wear and tear. I'm thinking of something as strong as the apple magsafe might actually work, except that a tug would cause it to break away, defeating the retention aspect.

yeah not sure if its an actual thing but I feel like I remember seeing that as a thought/idea at a point

Was just about to pick this bubbler up to complement my in-line style one (like the one Nubescrutator tested on the pen in his pics), but I noticed the down stem looks whack -- you'd be putting a lot of water in there to get any vapor through water... and putting that much in near an open atomizer seems ill-advised. Granted, you were thinking for GH, but it still seems like you're setting your device up for a bad time w/ that bubb.

I know lots of people love the fancy glass, and that's cool, but is there really that much difference in the vapor when using a simple 20 buck hammer type bubbler?

I mean, the one I have is as solid as a beer bottle. I use it with my Underdog routinely, and it does a great job.

No judgement intended, I certainly spend $$ for things that may not be practical or durable, just because I like them...

Nah, other than the art of it, the real benefit to getting nice glass is durability. You break 10 cheap ones while a good one will keep going. If yours is as strong as you say it is, and you like it, stick with it. For smoking, there are benefits to be seen from well made diffusion and such, but vapor is pretty great as is.

Some will disagree with me, and I'm not saying that I disagree with them. I have nice glass, though a simplistic design (which I prefer), and it has been well worth it. There is something nicer about using thick pyrex, with a nicely rounded intake area.

I would think that a snug fitting o-ring with this style lanyard would do the trick. .99¢ on ebay
lTp2WKj.jpg

Place the lanyard attaching loop through the o- ring, then slide the oring on the grasshopper.

Edit: this style would probably work without the o ring as well. Just wrapping the attachment loop around th GH.
