Damn Lwien,
Still the master at conserving herb. I thought that your LSV would break your
discipline and finally increase your tolerance. Guess I was wrong.
The original beta glyph Batts were very strong, so strong that they changed my draw technique.
Later the glyphs sold to the public seemed weak. Vitolo always said the glyphs were no big deal, and he was correct if he had these weaker glyphs.
The new glyphs that came with my walnut box are as strong as the original beta units. They've even made my old box more powerful.
My friend has a pax and he loves it, and he does not use his LB at all. When I hit his pax I find the vape signature to be strong, harsh and soulless.
IMHO I have some of the better vaporizers in my stable those being the Daisy, the Vapolution 2 and the LBs ,and I would use my LB in public over a Pax , but that's just me.

Two things.

First off, my LSV did increase my tolerance by about 30%, but after ditching my WPA and strictly using the Q basket loaded into an M2M, my tolerance is back down to where it was before.

Secondly, and this kind of mirrors your experience above, I got a FlashVape awhile ago and used it like I used my MFLB which was to use for maintenance hits after initial liftoff with the LSV. While the FlashVape works on basically the exact same principle as the MFLB, for some odd reason, it didn't take me where I like to go as well as the MFLB did. Considering that I was able to get more voluminous clouds from the FV, you would think that it would provide a quicker higher high, but that was not the case, so as of now, the FV is in retirement mode and the MFLB is back into rotation.

Just another case of a vape signature that works for me. This may not be the same for someone else though.

a small (as small as possible) smellproof case with space for one battery and a stem would be a great idea IMO

There's a rule somewhere 'all great ideas have been tried'? The 'smell proof' soft cases I tried (often with a pocket to hold papers.......yuck!) were 'sub wonderful' leading me to plastic containers. The problems I found were two fold, you're pretty much confined to round containers (square ones don't seal reliably) which have to be very long or bigger in diameter to include the stem. A nice plus is you can also include some ground bud (in a small zip lock bag) as well. This is the best solution I found:
http://www.tapplastics.com/product/plastics/plastic_containers/polypropylene_vials/427

Very tough, solid seals, opens with one hand. The 3 inch one does the job fine, but is a bit over in inch in diameter. There is no need to 'smell proof' a battery of course......

So I'm curious for others who got the UFO. I just received mine and I love the concept.. but in practice it seems like you gotta hold then UFO down on to the cup with your free hand with some pressure in order to create enough of a suction. Anyone else experiencing the same? I thought I'd be able to get this to replace my Orbiter... but the Orbiter is definitely more efficient.

Yeah, this was mostly one year ago and I don't consume much in public anymore because of the stress factor, although I still want to try vaping in the cinema. Just worried the vapor cloud rising from my seat may raise suspicions :-)

I've vaped a few times at the cinema. It's no problem if you sit away off to the side, since most people want to be near the middle. What I do is hit the box native and then exhale into a Smokebuddy. No visible vapor or smell comes out. Complete stealth as long as you're discreet.

So after selling a few PA2.0s, I finally caved and got another power adapter.. This time, an original! I was so pumped to be able to have some magic flight history, this thing works perfect! I forgot how handy a PA was.. Now my UD has some serious home competition :worms:

I used to have the PA1.0, and kind of liked its spaceship kind of body, it seemed to have a nicer dial than the 2.0 does, with better resistance. Not so fond of the battery part though compared to the flanged one on the 2.0. Either way, still a huge step up in controllability. enjoy!

Has anyone tried them?
Don't bother. Get Glyphs from Magic-Flight.

I think they're new enough nobody has, at least not found success and reported it. I doubt they'd excel, most don't.

I too think the Glyphs are going to beat them (or any other most likely) but being in Brazil getting them might be a problem? Perhaps you'd have better luck with the 'second best' ones we used to use which are widely distributed.....unfortunately the exact make/model escapes me right now and I seem to have cut the jackets off all the ones I can find......

Can some kind soul please bail me out? TIA

I use something almost exactly the same. Uncanny. Mines opaque plastic though. one battery, mflb, stem and just enough space for a little weed. Pretty sure it came with one of my girlfriends supplements. It's fine........ but not quite perfect :)

Mind you, we have to make do with the best we have.

For HSD (daily use) the best are Powerex 2700s. For LSD (occasional use) use Powerex Imedions, which are 2400 mAh. These were the stock LB battery before the glyphs, and are the ones you're trying to remember I think. The Amazon batteries are LSD. You can tell because they arrive charged—with "solar power"!

Thanks, Pak. I agree, they must be LSD as they advertise "Maintains 65% of original charge after being stored for 3 years". Given they're 'made in Japan' and the right mAh rating what do you suppose the likelihood they are the Imedions? IMO Amazon is unlikely to 'brand' second tier stuff?

Mind you, we have to make do with the best we have.

And try not to burden our friends with out troubles....... Carry on, Trouper!

Thanks for the tip, As I am a daily user I'll buy the 2700's! :)

Oh, do you (or anyone) know if it is ok to charge only 1 battery instead of 2 at the mflb charger?

I had exactly the same thought.

Yes it is. You can use any charger you like that handles AA NiMH batteries, but the 15 minute chargers will kill your batteries a lot faster.

My Model V-818 battery charger from Magic Flight states on the back:
One (1) NiMH AA - charges at 1400 mA
Two (2) NiMH AA - charges at 700 mA

When I charge one battery at a time it gets VERY hot upon completion. When I charge two batteries at a time they get moderately hot upon completion.

Excessive heat is not good for NiMH batteries, either charging or discharging. That is why I recently bought a Powerex Maha MH-C9000 charger/analyzer/conditioner. Couldn't be more pleased.

If you stick with the stock mflb charger, then charge two batteries at the same time. Less heat and they will last longer.

Got my today, so far life changing. May never combust again.. ...well maybe a blunt once in a blue moon

Congrats!

Lay off blazing for a couple of weeks and see just how nasty and repulsive smoking is. I won't say that's what everyone finds, but there sure aren't a lot of folks who 'only blaze occasionally now'. Lots of them report turning down social offers with non believers.

Once your body gets used to the idea of getting loaded without the poison and grief, who can blame it for wanting to go back.

You get to save serious bucks on herb I'd say average is 1/3 to 1/4 former. Yes, I do mean if a gram lasted two days smoking, it'll likely go a week vaping. Seriously.

And you get to live longer to enjoy it all the more. Such a deal.......

Welcome to a better way.

Hey everyone. I am looking to pick up the power adapeter, the concentrate tray, and the UFO if I can find it (it's way more stealthy to have around than the orbiter). Does anyone know of a store that carries all 3? None of the sponsors seem to carry the UFO. The other two parts aren't a big issue. I'd love to get it within the next few days while we have all of the 420 sales going on.

True. Last year`s harvest was not so much, thought i had to buy some till next year:\. Then i bought a flightbox and an e-cig. I quit smoking green and cigarettes. Small stock from last year turned out to be enough for at least two years

I've got some of the Amazon Basics batteries - I picked up a 12-pack of the 2000mah. Not tried them in my MFLB, so I can't speak to their suitability for that purpose, but they've been great for other uses. Just as good at the Duracell rechargeables (which I have peeled a couple and successfully use them in my LB)..

Thinking about trying out a portable. Owner of an EQ and new Herbalizer, VAS appears to be real. A page or two ago someone said a Box may not be great for someone with a high tolerance. I feel I have a somewhat high tolerance, but even for someone with a medium tolerance coming from some pretty powerful desktops, is a Box gonna have me wishing I went with an Air? Or will most portables under $200 have me wishing for my desktops?

The purpose of buying a portable is obviously for on the go situations but also just to chill on the couch and vape. Stealth and pocketability are important features to me.
