Broken Male Joint inside female

So I have a VapeXhale EVO that recently broke from a tip over with the hydratube on top. Problem is the male joint from the EVO base broke off inside of the female joint of the hydratube. There isn't any meaningful amount of glass outside to grab and pull the joint out. Does anyone have any good process that might allow me to remove the broken joint?

Thank you in advance

Heat the joint up with a torch and try to work the glass out. If you can get something hooked on to the other end, that will make it easier.

Dont get crazy with the torch or you may malform the glass, just get it hot enough to allow thermal expansion to happen.

Thank you, I will try that and report back.

I'd use heat from a torch as an absolute last measure for any glass that is worth over $50 IMO...

My first thought is:
Get a standard metal coathanger, and straighten it out then bend back the tip and form yourself a hook.

The wire should be bendy enough that as you slide it through the joint, the hook will compress a bit so it can slip through and then pop back open once its through.

Then just yank on the coathanger a bit and hope it pulls out the glass.

My next thought, would be to grab a chopstick, insert it into the broken male joint, and see if you can use the chopstick to gain some leverage and get the joint to wobble.
Once you can get a wobble, It should break the seal and the joint should come out pretty easily.

The better quality a piece is the less likely it is to crack from heating, the hydratube will be fine just heat gently and evenly. It's the thin China pieces that crack from that.

My roor stem has been broken and stuck inside my little 100ml bong for months now xD

I gave up on it and now I just insert a bit of tubing to vape from it

Come to think of it, do you think you could maybe get a bit of tubing and insert it, so that it is tight enough inside what's left of your wand, to give you a little more leverage to pull?

I am so glad we are all super mature here and not laughing at all the inyourendo :haw:

find something you can glue to the bottom of the broken glass to act as a little handle. Use some good gel super glue when its dry you should be able to pull it out...

Ok, but my reasoning is this:

-doesn't really matter if we break a cheapie - they are easily replaced

-by the time you've introduced any significant level of thermal expansion, my non-glassblowing brain says thats gotta be at the point where you're starting to add some heat stress to the glass.
Since most of us don't have a kiln at home to re-anneal our rigs, why risk adding thermal stress into our nice expensive glass unless it's a last resort?

I am a glassblower, and I would not heat it. glass expands in all directions when heated. is this what you want? noooo.
I'm with the clothes hangar guy, or something stiffer. bend a hook in it and try to tap it. don't just pull with even pressure. even try to tap the side of the joint with wood while trying to pull it with the hangar
