FlowerMate Vapormax V/V5.0/V5.0S/V5 Pro

I am with @KeroZen here; the Pro is in my permanent rotation. I think it works best with a firm pack (which is interesting, because I don't pack at all with my 5.0 and 5.0s).

This thing functions like an Ascent, tastes nearly as good at all temps, and is quite a bit easier on the wallet.

I am very happy with what SMISS produced. They really knocked it out of the park!
What vapes are in your rotation? You ever use the Air? I just bought one because I couldn't find a car charger for the pro.

I'm curious to know if temperature setting is fairly consistent from one pro model to the next one. Would also love to hear about the flavor when its around "360C".

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
I just got a 5.0Pro from Puffitup to use as my throw away for my trip. I don't wanna throw it away and i really want to put some herb it it now, but I want a clean vape for the plane . Last time i took my Crafty to Europe and back, but just don't wanna chance it again. I grabbed a V8.0 from mass drop , but after getting it, it's just to big to lug around A'dam .

If you know where to get the stuff to put in a Vape (don't know what part of Europe you'll be in) you won't have any trouble finding a place selling Vapes. Flowermates are very popular Then you can pass it on when you are ready to return...fresh and clean! Bonus: no charging problems with plugs, etc.

:peace:

I do know where to get the stuff to put in a vape ;) i'll be in A'dam. It wasn't a literal "throw it away" I'll just give it to someone when i leave. Usually my favorite Budtender :D As far as the plugs go, i have a really good plug adaptor/converter and power banks. I travel often.

I got a feeling you won't want to throw this one away. This baby is so great you may want to look into shipping it back.

*edit* oops, I shoulda read your last message before responding!

I own the Flowermate 5.0, 5.0s, 5.0s mini, this Pro, flowermate 8.0. I also own the Herbalizer, the Haze, and the Ascent.

Right now I am spending most of my time with The Herbalizer, the 5 Pro, and the Haze.

Feel like I'm missing somehing, some of my vapes have twins as well band I simply haven't listed them. I bet that's what it is.

I have never used the Air or the Solo. I do want to try them out at some point but I don't know any other vapers that own one and I've already got money tied up in future releases like the grasshopper and the Zion.

Whats your opinion on the Mini vs the 5.0s? Do you mind writing a short review?
Looking to get a Mini but theres so many tempting choices out there:)

I really like the Mimi. It will have a smaller battery so less cycles per charge.

However, the vapor production is great. Lots of clouds on all three heat settingd.

It does get a little hot in hand, but I'd expect that for such a tiny unit.

Great, how is the size of the bowl compared to the others?

I just received a mini, it's smaller than I expected but nice! mouthpiece is different from its larger relatives, I don't think this one will fit in the larger models but the ones from the larger models may fit this. I'm just doing some burn ins so no idea on use yet, but it's quite smelly on the burn ins and does get quite hot.

Even if i did want to ship it home and clean it well and put it in my luggage,i wouldn't . I bought it because it's better than the original Flowermates without temp control, but not good enough to be an everyday vape for me, so it's not worth taking home.
The flavor just isn't there for me, i just prefer using my UD's and Crafty and still use my Pax outside because it's easy to hide.
I still have a few of the original FM's that are untouched, bought them for $45 each about a year ago just for throw away's for travel.
I could probably take my Crafty again, i have an unused cooling chamber so it would be pretty clean , but i love that vape too much to chance it again. It's easier to take the FM to use for a week and re-gift it :D

I think you should go for the Solo or Air first. Both proven, established vapes with outstanding support and accessories.

While the Grasshopper and the Zion are still mostly dreams and will have to go through a shakedown process amongst early adopters/purchasers. Maybe in a year one of them may have proven themselves.

edit: I know at least Grasshopper will refund any money you may have already put up. Did for me.

I've been doing empty burn-offs with my new Mini and Pro. The Pro in particular has got a decidedly burning electrical smell that is not going away very fast. The Mini is about ready to go with herb. It just doesn't have the burn-off smell problem for me. @virtualpurple or @KeroZen , did either of you have a significant smell problem with the Pro?

What?? How'd you get the mini? I want one so bad
A little begging.....

Other than the polyimide tape/glue smell no. It didn't strike me as "electrical or burning", but maybe because I got the same in the the 3 other FM5 I had in my hands so I'm used to it.

Your unit could be deffective or badly assembled though... Try it empty in a dark room with a light shining above the bowl and/or dark background to check that there are no visible fumes. If something is really burning it must produce a minimum amount of smoke I imagine.

PS: don't forget to blow a lot of air through the mouthpiece during the burn-ins, you want a flow happening to get rid of the out-gassing molecules. Static air will be way slower.

I`ve had a Solo for a few months and it`s not as portable as my FM but it`s really a great vape...highly recommended!

Blowing through it... that's a good idea. Also I have another question: when I put the Pro close to my ear I hear a very faint fast clicking sound - like a timer. Is that the 5 minute timer that auto-shuts it down?

I hear you. I am sure I will end up with the Solo or the Air someday. However, i must have a thing for adopting early. So far it has worked out pretty well (Haze and Flowermate were pretty new kids in town when I picked them up).

Like @KeroZen I haven't had any issues with odor outside of what I'm used to with the Flowermates. I would contact your rep if you continue to have the odor you describe.

Wow...I just read almost the entire thread, thanks for all the info!

Now I need to figure out if I'm going to get the v5.0s or the pro as my first vaporizer!

I think I will. 100 bucks shipped is not bad at all!

Honestly, I think it's a steal for 100 bucks.

If you use water tools I highly suggest picking up a silicone 18mm-14mm reducer from @Ratchett's online store. It fits over the Pyrex mouthpiece perfectly so you can hook it up to a bubbler effortlessly.

It also covers the metal piece that holds the Pyrex mouthpiece, which is nice because that piece gets very hot.
