You can hybridize the 71 with a 74x center post, it will still work after the post collapses. After it collapses room for user error on rod placement is eliminated. What this means you would need to place the rod in the exact position for it to work no room for error.

If you go for an sr71, I would not suggest you get a persei v3 top. I just know my experience. My v3 cant fire my hercules sr71 on full batteries. And many other ways I didnt isolate gave me many missfires. Body warming my v3 top helped it fire my sr71 sometimes. It was driving me crazy chasing a reliable repeatable vaping experience with that setup. I just dont want you to make the same mistake I did; it was quite frustrating experience v3 + sr71.

When later I got an sr74x and experienced barely no missfires, I concluded the v3 isnt designed to fire an sr71, its tuned for the sr74x. Im currently waiting for an eleaf istick 50w from china mail to experiment with my sr71 and see how it goes.

I love my v3 + sr74x combo. Even better with an hammer top. No complaints there. Reliable. My :2c:

i just bought the almost same thing you did yesterday but instead of the istick 50w it was the 30w. ;) ill have both them in my hands latest thursday. since the kiss alpha c may be pushed back two weeks i decided to get a hercules sr74x and the istick 30w together. since the istick goes up to 8v i felt it might be fine, also the sr74x can only run at 8.4 or 8.5v max

Does w9 sell the bottom cap required for the herc to fit the nibbler xl? I just realized my Sr71 apparently has the older style PTFE insulators that doesn't have a bottom cap that works with the nibbler xl..

You are in for a treat with your new toys! I think its better to wait and see a bit for the kiss alpha c. How can the hercules be bettered anw!?

well i thought since the alpha kiss c will be a 1701 second gen it wont be the rod/ti coils i might as well just buy the sr74x. i am so excited but the thing is i know when i have it in my hands.

@spoutti how would you rate your experience with the sr74x with a vv? also do you bring yours outdoors, if you do wont that make people interested in that bulky thing you have. what long of a battery life do you think i will have with the 30w istick just running the sr74x, it is a 2200 mah battery.

@420time I dont use my core oftently; the power cord is stiff and hinders my ease of use. Still havent used other vv power sources. I havent used my hercules very mindfully to be honest, I was ok with putting fresh batteries when chasing clouds. But I will be mindful of voltage when I get the istick. Im on concentrate break atm.

As for the 2200mah, its so hard to judge and personnal. Im sure you will be good for a solo evening, but I need more than 1 set of 18350 (1400mah total) on full blown binging days.

As for the looks, well, it doesnt have to be a cannabis oil vaporizer. The hercules could well be a new pg/vg cart.

Just invest in a second set of batteries. When one set runs out you swap on the fresh and put the old pair on the charger. This way you never have to worry about waiting for a charge.

Good question. I also wonder if it is possible to get the top adapter for the hercules to fit the nibbler XL, by itself?

A case with a hard outer shell and a soft inner cushion will not save your nibbler xl when the case falls open and face down. I had foolishly left my nibbler g on some dresser for a few days one bump away from shattering instead of in the case which is apparently what saved it from breaking with the xl. I love my nibbler g and I'm happy it will be there to help me through the grieving process. Not sure what lesson to learn from this. Time to take the xl off my signature. I'm a sad panda.

Ijust wanted to say that my wife and I have really been enjoying the nichrome globe coil w/ black ceramic wick.

I bought a Ti globe coil that would only heat on the bottom (found out after loading and attempting to use...), that now reads at like 0.2 ohms when checked on my meter. Maybe I did something stupid? I don't know, I cleaned it and it's still jacked up. I thought I'd swap the skillet and coil out from a KISS cart, but I see globe atty length is a little longer, so that's probably a no-go. So, I pulled out the stock globe heaters w/ black wick, and after an initial burn-off, I found the flavor much better than I had expected. Not bad at all.

Can't wait to hear more about the AC on Friday!

OK, so I have a replacement Herc (71) and a slim chance of goodies for it. Also just received the tester. What should the Herc read when screwed into the tester? It's reading 1.72.

When using the herc, do you guys consider it more convection dabbing. Since the ceramic is heating the ti coils with oil on it. The reason I am asking is the way I use my herc. I'm trying to cut down consumption, and I will probably take 2-3 draws (with cooloff hits in between). But this makes me think I'm not getting the ti hot enough since I'm only using it for a few hits, followed by cool down hits.

Enough with my rambling (waked and vaked). For those of you who use the herc frequently, are the hits in the middle of your session more flavorful/better clouds than early in a session? I get nice hits and they are flavorful, but never ventured past 3 mins on the herc.

Wow I thought buying something from the same state wouldn't take so damn long....... I am located in Brooklyn and the item was shipped from the queens/Bronx....... First leaves Bronx/queens the first day, second day goes to manhattan..... Third day no update..... Then fourth day it finally updates to Brooklyn but more to the queens side.... I mean seriously with!!!! Even my I stick 30w that came from Washington state came in yesterday...... And they were both shipped the same day . Damn I should of just bought it directly from w9, would of already had it yesterday...... Only reason I didn't buy from w9 was since they require signature delivery.... Only 19cents more then what I paid for from the seller..... $99.99. W9 sells them for $100.18 if used with a coupon that is 10% off.

so if you place two coils into the sr74x it should be able to store more concentrate or will it just be more of a heavy hitter.

In search of the best terps and smoothest vapor
I posted a while back about cracking my Nibbler XL while getting a top cap out that was stuck inside. I found a local glass blower who repaired. Below are a couple of before and after pics. The whole inner tube is slightly off-center now which happened during the repair. The inner tube seems straight, though, so I think it will still seal. I just ordered a new top cap and heat shield to replace the ones I messed up, so I won't know for sure if the fix was good until those come in the mail. Fingers crossed...
