Granted, I prefer a clean experience and therefore clean my vapes and equipment more than most other vaporists I know (clean the Pax after every 5 uses). But my original Pax still works like new after almost three years

Cleaning is key...... high quality oven materials deserve a clean high end vaporizer.

. I'd marry this vape if I could

In my experience anything high end that looks good, tastes good and is wanted by others requires a little extra attention. If you neglect them, they will be the first to let you know.

I guess what I am getting at is the PAX is like a badass girlfriend or wife. You worked hard to get it...... spent a lot of money to keep it....... give it some attention and it will do its best to keep you happy..... guranteed to do so for at least 10 years :)

Ok, looks like a great build and the size is great too. I took it out on the balcony with my mighty last night. When I looked in the oven I saw the "screen" sitting flush against the bottom , after the "oven cap" flew out of my hand and landed on the cement. I swore loudly a few times then loaded up my mighty and was good ;) . now I would love to go home and test this tonight, is there any trick or tips on seating the "screen", mine is the flat one/ no legs. Thanks

Dude stop trying to pick a fight with me, go mess with somebody else!

If someone is actually trying to pick a fight with you, report the post and do not respond.

The review you linked agrees with your opinion, but it's a really poor review. It's full of hyperbole (mouthpiece "impossible" to remove, body gets "very very hot") and misinformation (no change in how it works, SIN required to register). The fact that he calls a re-branded Titan (of which there are many) the best portable tells you everything you need to know. If it's the best then so is the Force, the Vape-O-Nator, the Apex, the Tundra, etc. etc... so many bests!

If I were you, I'd avoid using this guy to support my point. His credibility is rather doubtful.

You can express your opinion but only in a positive way....

This unit is NOT crap = OK
This unit is pure crap = not OK :hmm:

Yes, this is exactly right. I'm not sure why this policy needs an explanation, but if you're confused send me a PM.

Hi, I have a brand new unit with the footless screen. How should I seat this screen? Any tips would be appreciated.

I decided to look into the whole SSN thing and found this out.

When you register an account on the PAX site they have to verify your age. The way you do that is by entering in your name, address, and birthday. Pax checks this with a database of state issued IDs and if the information you entered doesn't match, it'll ask for the last four digits of your SSN. This makes sense because Pax doesn't want to be in legal trouble for doing business with minors.

Just found this stoner comedian who reviewed the PAX 2
After watching the video I checked out the guy's other stuff. It was all really funny. He barley has any views for some reason.

This goes directly to what I said about that reviewer exaggerating and therefore ruining his credibility. SSNs are obviously longer than four digits.

Just ordered my Pax 2 last night and after skimming through this thread I'm pretty excited! I'm still relatively new to vaping and I still combust, but I'm interested in making the transition because I may be moving in with my girlfriend soon and she is not a smoker.

To the person who was saying a few pages back that they are designing an attachment to accommodate bongs and water pipes and I would absolutely be interested in that so by all means please keep us updated! Thank you, this is a great community.

I switched over to vaping since March 31, 2015. Prior to this, I smoked everyday for 10+ years. As of now, I own the Crafty and the PAX 2 and I never have the urge to smoke. Also, my lungs are in much better condition and my smoker's cough is slowly fading!

I am trying to decide on the Pax 2 or the Crafty, or to just stick with my current Ascent. I like the Ascent, but it seems more fragile that what I assume the Pax 2 is. I would like to be able to stick something in my pocket and go. I want something I can turn on, get 2-4 hits, and turn off. Firefly is way to heavy to actually carry.

Perhaps you should just behave the same way (me too, probably). Let people talk shit, let them compare vapes and let them formulate their opinions like they want (until a mod jumps in). You aren't a mod, correct me if I am wrong. But I feel like you moderate or at least re-railed the thread several times by now. Nasty, sometimes even wrong things were said about nearly every vape here on the forum. You surely know this by yourself after your signature, the quantity and quality of your posts. :) So please don't feel offended like I already said very politely in my previous post.
I appreciate your time very much, sharing all this information with us and really carrying for your customers (and doing marketing work).
Don't want to fight with anybody, so :peace: and btt please (Now, am I moderating, too? :D)

Why this state ID thing or SSN? What if I don't want to register my future Pax 2 at all? (I rarely do this anyways with most of my other electronic devices apart my iPhone)
Do you already know what age verifying system you will use in the EU or if it is needed at all for European customers? There aren't any state issued IDs as far as I know and I hope this will stay this way!

Ok, I didn't said anything :D
@pakalolo sry I didn't get it instantly you aren't working for pax but a mod testing and reviewing for them. My fault.

You didn't clarify on the Registration process, or aren't there any plans for EU yet?

We are very impatient on the other side of the sea...

Edit: is registration required for warranty?

Without a doubt your unit is covered till 4/2/2025....but by then we will probably vaping with lasers

Dude...yes.

I don't know about anyone else, but I registered online and there was no field for SSN in the process.

Ok so here's the skinny on age verification (AV) and registration.

Age verification

AV is not necessary unless you are ordering tobacco. This is due to the myriad of state and federal laws we must follow. We will prompt you to complete the AV process when you create a paxvapor.com account, but not completing the AV process won't affect shipping (unless you ordered tobacco) and it sure won't affect your warranty eligibility.

The whole process is pretty vanilla, and we put customer safety and security first. More here under "Age Verification".

Product Registration

You don't need to register your device to have access to support and warranty services. It's a good step to complete as it will expedite any services down the line (we'll still ask you to repeat some stuff for confirmation though), but we're not going to stop helping and ask you to complete it or anything like that.

International expansion is very much in the works, and we're super excited to finally be able to talk about it. I don't have any information about how registration/warranty services will work but you're watching the right place for when that info becomes available.

Whatever go have a hit or some shit fanboy lol

Nothing to do with the text of your post, but in your video you stated that one's social security number is required to register the device. I don't know about anyone else, but I registered online and there was no field for SSN in the process. I'm registered and have not given my SSN.

BSki, I'm like you in that I take a few hits every so often throughout the day. I believe both Pax 1 and Pax 2 are perfect for this, especially with the use of a curved stainless screen or this new-fangled spacer that has been mentioned several times on here.

I'd like to see one of those spacer kits made for Pax 2 rather than having to buy the one for the Pax 1 and take it the snips to it. I guess it'll be out eventually.

i didnt have a spacer, and small amounts (.01) that wasn't enough to fill the oven i just left it unpacked i liked it at heat level 4 the best

but now wit a spacer i like it at heat level 2 or 3 for that amount and firmly packed and so far i like that way the best

Hello, just joining the Pax 2 camp after a couple years with the Pax. My first few uses of the second iteration were positive an many respects, most notably the big improvement in battery life. However, the draw resistance is an annoyance right after the 1st stir or the first bowl. Any tips? I have got the raised screen.

.01g... Seriously. That's like a spec of dust. I wouldn't think you'd get any vapor at all :hmm:

Also, IIRC, @pakalolo said he got good vapor using a relatively small load .08g without any spacer at all..

What spacer are you folks using? Are you referring to the New Vape products (pusher and bottom screen)?

What's the final verdict? Get the sandwich? Just the pusher? Something else?

Airflow improved after my first cleaning. I don't have the raised screen though. Seems like I couldn't get the screen down as far as when installed new. Works better imo.
