The Summit by Vapium (Formerly MARK 1)

I have this and will more thorough at a later time.
Its a solid entry vape. Think pax in performance with Kyocera design.

Can you replace the battery on this unit by your self or is it built in ?

Oh Bummer , i think anything over $100 should at least have a user replaceable battery. I don't understand why companies are not all catching on. To me they are disposable vape's if i cant replace a battery. Batteries don't last forever. Just my opinion although i do like the design of it but at $100-150 it's a no go for that 1 reason.

This is pretty smooth. Got it charging now. Looks as if its a simpler pax but more durable. More soon

It looks like it could be a good vape at a competitive price. The things that worry me about it are report of plastic tasting the first use, which means that you're probably inhaling plastic fumes from the heat, and a nonuser replaceable battery. Also, the rubber USB plug looks like it would be easy to use and would probably have to be attached to the body of the vape by a little DIY. I dig the rugged appearance but wonder about the overall build quality though since it looks plastic on the outside with a rubber bumper guard.

Pretty awesome little vape

I have used the vapium for a week straight with heavy use. Work's great taste vapor it's all there.used it outside it was 5 below heated right up with vapor .very easy to clean easy to use.

Why isn't this a candidate thread?

I've just spent two weeks with the Summit, and have been completely impressed. Only two downsides: No WPA, and no replaceable battery. I keep a 20,000 mAh portable charger with me, but I would rather just keep an 18650 instead. Its possible its only running an 18350, I will take it apart and see!

This thing is idiot-proof to both use and clean, perfect socially.
it is a conduction vape so be mindful. the screen trick works here too.
I use it mostly as a one-hitter surrogate and it has a surprising amount of flavor and cloud production.
I see nothing wrong for the price, but I can certainly see it being redundant or for casuals.

I think I'm gonna check this thing out. I like how they copied Pax with the air path by putting the mouthpiece at the opposite end of the bowl. Every vape I have used that puts the mouthpiece right at the bowl is too harsh.

These kinds of vapes aren't usually my cup of tea, but I think they can serve a good place in the market.

I have a pax2 coming this week to compare flavor. Should be interesting considering the summit is half the price. The 8 temps are a great stepping tool as well

Very impressed with this vape. I also own a MFLB, a Pinnacle and a FF, but this one could be the best, although I've only used it once, so far. Simple to use, hi tech with 8 heat settings. Nice big clouds on setting 6. I like the army surplus look and feel, plus it's really small and easy to use. I was looking for something new and went onto vapeworld to see what they had. I was thinking seriously about the Pax2, but decided to go with this one at half the price. Although the Pax2 seems like a great vape, I'm not at all sorry I bought this one.

Ordered direct from Vapium once I figured they were in stock again.
Now I want a Rugged Portable charger for it's companion.
Having the Pass Thru option and the only "Outdoor" unit that has been around for at least a year made me pull the trigger. I would have liked the company to use some sort of IP code when rating for outdoor usage.
But then again, I don't even want to think about cleaning a malfunctioning PAX in the field.
I rationalized that it should actually compliment and contrast my PAX at home enough. Especially If I forget to charge um well.... BOTH!

I was wary of reading about the plastic smell and plan to do anything reasonable to circumvent it. I'm thinking ISO cleaning before a 1st time burnoff. ISO -> Burn, 2x more then test. I'm hoping it's more of a new car smell from the external pieces and not so much the vape path. I'm considering ceramic filters for doing the screen trick since the chamber is round. Y'know?

Any thoughts?

I have now used it three times and am still very impressed. I didn't get a plastic taste, but others may be more sensitive to that than I am. The unit has no smell to it, new car or otherwise. When it's operating, very little smell comes from the unit itself, although a little is to be expected. The only bad thing is the little rubber plug over the charging port, could get easily lost, so be careful with that. I ordered from Vapeworld and paid an extra $8 for two day shipping and it was here in two days

I just received my summit in the mail today!

The Summit comes with some great accessories, especially the USB cord.

The unit only weighs 87.3 grams with the hygienic tip on and an empty chamber.

It does have a bit of a robot fart smell, I am doing burnoffs now on high.

IMO the unit looks and feels well made and constructed with exception to the rubber USB plug that will get lost fast.
It is very ergonomic and fits nicely in my hand.
With 8 heat settings everyone should be happy!
The unit looks simple to use and "rugged" if you will, it is also a pass through device that uses a micro USB which is nice.
For the price, this vape could be a great contender, at least I hope so.

As @stickstones said, it is nice to see the chamber is on the opposite side of the mouth piece which should result in a cooler more enjoyable draw.

I will post my results after a couple of sessions. I will post a usage video shortly after too.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed but I have high hopes for this unit, at least from what I see.

I already made a DIY water pipe adapter for it!

Well I've had this 5 or 6 days now and am still really impressed. It's simple and easy to use and give great results. I'm not saying it tastes as good as the FF, but it's far easier to get results and its almost half the price. Practice not really necessary. Much lighter and smaller than the FF and far easier to maintain. I don't think it has received the attention it deserves.

Noooo what happened?

It just didn't work. It would heat up and then turn off once it got to temp. Occasionally it would stay on, but no vapor. I've got an RMA for it, though.

Sorry to here you got a defective one. Hope they have good customer service.

Had to send mine back also and awaiting a return. I did read their warranty service thoroughly before purchasing and checked for loopholes, etc. Basically, I knew they would not have the same criteria needed to issue a return as say PAX's warranty. I also have been reading the forums for any potential problems with this unit. Coverd all the bases I could before pulling the trigger.

Essentially, My problem happened within 24 hours of purchase and was possibly my saving grace as far as getting a RMA sooner. If it were slightly more used, I felt as if I might have met with some resistance regarding a replacement.

To all buyers new and old, I would be mindful of the gasket between the top of the metal oven and the bottom underside of cover. That seems to be the problem area for this unit. I suspect It might even be indirectly the cause for some electronics to behave differently, if the oven part was somehow offset.

Without getting too detailed with my problem. I would also refrain from doing any cleaning or maintenance until the unit is entirely cooled down. In my circumstance, I may have simply been unlucky and got the one bad gasket in the batch and/or the gasket may not be entirely heat resistant. More reasons to be that much more mindful with the replacement unit. I will also be using the minimal amount of cleaning product in the oven as to not weaken the area between the oven and the underside of the unit.

There was quite a bit of correspondence with me Vapium and eventually Vapeworld. Later I would find out Vapium currently handles there warranty service through Vapeworld. (I purchased it direct from Vapium) Something to mull over if you are considering where to buy. Perhaps the two logical choices anyway.

I would really like to hear any type of experience, tips and tricks from any long time/frequent users. Especially regarding outdoor usage. Since it will be a few days for my replacement to arrive, I ll have to enjoy it vicariously. Sigh...
