Honestly I would say at this point any dates that they put out there should be taken with a grain of salt. Im not even going to bother going to look and see if I have an expected date on mine or when that is because I know it really means nothing.

If the GH does everything as advertised then I am 100% sold. But man are they hurting their image now. Everywhere I look for information there is a massive dichotomy of "THIS IS GOING TO BE SO AWESOME! GAME CHANGER!" and "Grab your pitchforks and torches!" And both sides have merit. I can't say for sure but with my patience if I was an IGG backer I'd probably be in the latter group by now.

But I'm going to wait as see what happens. It seems legit and they are simply bogged down by set-backs out of their control. But I'm going to school again and won't be working until the end of May so sadly I can't take that risk just yet.

And I'm sure by then I won't be able to get one until September...

I'd like to see the posts from FC members that are expressing an unbridled attitude of "THIS IS GOING TO BE SO AWESOME! GAME CHANGER!"

cause I think cautious optimism is about as excited as even the most excited backers have been getting...

I think the Grasshopper will be an awesome vape and a form factor not yet delivered to the marketplace. The only potential negative I see is the harshness of the vapor at the higher temps.. This will be a great on demand sipper at 360F to 390f. Those that use water filtration will no doubt be able to vape on full heat...

Do you know what is used to produce heat in the heating element ? I mean in other vaporizers : its is a resistor or a halogen bulb or nichrome wire ( this is also a resisor). A lot of manufacturers say they use a ceramic heating element : but in fact it is a resistor inside a ceramic shell. Am I right ?
So what is used in the grasshopper ? I'm asking this question in order to evaluate the durability of the product ( lifetime warranty though so who cares ? :p)

It's proprietary, so details aren't available, but looks like a different style of resistor (tho I suppose you could call the filament in a halogen bulb a resistor, too). Looks like the printed metal piece is the resistor, a 4mm tall printed cylinder with a 36mm air tube spiraling a couple times through it (not surprising this would be a challenge to print w/o stray bits blocking the air path, 3D printing isn't the cleanest/smoothest yet, still crazy lame for the printing co to notify days before a deadline that they were completely failing). Should make for good durability.
