I stumbled upon my forgotten 1701 today. I tried it with a fully charged 18650 3.7(4.2)V.
This thing has potential. How high can the voltage be pushed? I may try it with the Core.
Not sure what the resistance the originals had. As I misplaced all notes for it. I think t was 1.3 ohms or something like that.
Use the rule you use with Hercules 5 amps is what the core can supply.

Yes I get that but stainless steel what? The Persei doesn't come in stainless steel, only one is the 8. Just wondering that's all.

2 questions:
1. My hammer top blinks like crazy while installing and removing, as well as sometimes when I move the Persei or 8 around. Is this normal, just poor connection to battery or something? Unit still operates when button is depressed, so I haven't contacted w9 about it yet. Also, there's a little weird discoloration near the PTFE disc that holds the bottom pin, on the threaded area. Pic attached. I assume it's nt out of the ordinary, just wanted to make sure.
2. When the adjustable spring on my 8 is in the right place, according to the manual, my other top cap does not fit flush on the bottom. Am I not supposed to use the fuse for stacking in the 8?

1. the hammer tops are extremely sensitive, reason for this is if it is dropped and it stays on it can burn a house down. So slight movement will turn it off for safety reasons. You have to be careful with it.
2. When using the short circuit board you have to screw the adjustable spring in a little more. It will compress the spring a bit but your bottom cap will screw in all the way.

Cool thanks everyone for the info I'm going to place the order today hope it come with a rod. I was about to get a kiss mini too but then I was thinking just getting the vaporizer since it comes with a mini.
Is the battery that come with the vaporizer strong enough or would I be better off getting somthing with a little bigger battery? Looking for pure stealth when out and about? Thanks
The biggest drawback to the vaporizer compared to the next biggest vape they sell is you can't hit it while it's recharging (unlike the Minicron Lite). It's the smallest, and therefore stealthiest. Also, whatever you do, don't soak that V2 KISS cart in ISO, it reacts with the coating unlike the V1's.

does anyone know if the ebay seller "shop_710" is a valid seller for w9tech? if he is does that mean i can buy the hercules 74x from him and still be able to send it back to w9 if problems occurs.
