Source Orb Pen Vape

I don't weigh out my hits ,
sounds normal , but we all have diff. ways to
vape and lung power . I'm hitting at usually 4.0 .
When I start to draw , I can feel it open up/unclog
during the hit also .

Still waiting on the Terras to make it up to PV .
There's always some kinda sale for 4/20 .

I'm confused how the oil/wax is supposed to completely vaporize in the terra when the air path hole is right in the middle and below both donuts. Seems like anything melted would go straight to the battery.

The hits I got were very nice BTW ! Just wish all my coils worked, for longevities sake lol

In this video, At the 3:50 minute mark it seems like the terra he's using, which seems to work great, is a donut on top of a disc with no hole in the middle, however my terra, which doesn't seem to work anyways, has a hole going right down to the battery.
I'm looking forward to Source's explanation on the difference.

BTW SOURCEvapes has offered to send me free replacements for the coils that aren't working! Kudos to them! I hope this one double coil can last me until that package arrives.

I also have the coils with the hole in the bottom, I've seen pictures on the source site with atomizers with holes on the side and that definitely seems better, I wonder why there are 2 different ones...

Well I used to be about 75% herb and 25% oil and now those numbers have been reversed thanks to the Terra atomizer. I've had my premium kit for a few months now and I still haven't even tried any of the other coils.

I ran my first Terra for 9 weeks and it's still going, it just needs to be cleaned since airflow isn't great. It got cleaned after week 1,2,4 then it hasn't been cleaned since. That's really the only time I clean them anymore, when airflow becomes too restricted which is turning into about once a month.

The only thing I don't like its how long it takes to get the hit I want, but that's the price I absolutely don't mind paying since IMO it's the best tasting vapor I've had.

My average hit takes about 30 seconds and I'm pressing the power button for about 25 of those seconds. I press the button for about 4 seconds then off for 1 then back on for 4 and continue that throughout the whole hit. I break my total inhale up into thirds(sometimes fouths) and inhale a total of 3 mouthfuls, every roughly 9 seconds equals 1 mouthful. I'm in love

How much are you putting in the terra per pack? How many good hits do you get from that? Also what voltage are you using ?

I may have spoke to soon praising Sources CS. After they offered to replace my atomizers its been dead silence and no replies from them. Sighhhh

About the size of a puffy little cooked piece of rice and I'll get about 6-8 good hits. I've tried the whole range of voltages and settled right in the middle at 4.0.

That sucks to hear about the CS, I hope they just got a shipment in and are really busy like last time things went silent.

The weight depends, crumble isn't as dense so it's closer to the 6 hits for me and wax/shatter tend to be closer to 8.

The thing I like most about the Terra , besides taste, is you just load and vape til it's almost gone then repeat. There's no trying to load it just right or trying to get the reclaim back over towards the coil. It just makes it so easy and I like easy. The only thing that isn't easy is the 30 second hit but like I said for me it's definitely worth it.

Edit: something I forgot to add to a previous post was I'm using the Terra for 3-4 sessions a day and each session I use about 1 1/2 - 2 dabs(each dab being roughly rice size, depending on concentrate) so usually about 10-12 of my 30 second hits. The battery that came with the kit only lasts me between 3-4 sessions so I ended up getting the big battery. I much prefer the big battery, it's diameter is the same as the fattest part of the Orb and it adds some weight to the bottom which just gives it a much better feel, the small battery makes it very top heavy.

Yeah I lost my orb and had to replace it with something else. Wanted a new one but got sick of waiting for them to be in stock. Also recommended the orb to a friend but same deal. Never any stock.

maybe its not doing as well as they wanted it to? i have been researching pens for a while now and every pen i came across, dabbler, dr dabber, ophos, omicron all have so many pages dedicated to it. but the orb has 9 pages? and not much info on the net. although it looks like the best out of them all.

maybe they are replacing it with the ghost? although that looks like it will do a better job for herb than wax.

if i dont get some sort of answer soon im going to buy a eleven pen and a omicron mini.

It because of the dock strike pacific side. You may or may have not have noticed many things are out of stock in general. The dock strike is now over. Fingers crossed !

how does the single coil wickless compare to the kiss carts? i dont really want to invest in both but people always say kiss os the best.

IME kiss carts are more fragile than orb atomizers.

thats not a good thing for me, i live in the uk and have to order and wait so the longer lasting ones is what i need. i had the same problem with the eleven pen people say the atomizers dont last long so im staying away from that one.

performamce wise can you kotice a difference? and is it a huge difference? coz if they are similar source gives you more for your money. and i hear the terra lasts ages, sonif i ordered a spare pack of terras with it i dont think ill beed to make an order for a long time.

I was using dual coil atomizers only so I can't really compare performance. Actually lost my source orb snowboarding last week. I've just been using a cheap generic pen I picked up locally since. Seems to be just as good as anything.

yeah i guess they all do the same job in the end. cant be too much difference. though i really want to try the double coils.

One thing I can tip my hat off to the Orb ,
is the quality build of this pen vape .
It's all metallic SS , I can long soak every part of the
Orb in ISO to make it look brand new again .
I've even dropped it on cement , it made a tiny scratch .

@SOURCEvapes , you should think about holding a 4/20 contest
to win a free Orb on FC . It's a shame there isn't too much
traffic on this thread . I personally think you've got a WINNER
here . It is my current favorite/DD for portable dabs .

when will the v3 drop do you think? id be well dissapointed if i bought the v2 and the v3 came out straight after.

Sorry to be away from this thread for so long. My first terra is still doing work after 14 weeks of all but daily usage. Granted, that averages out to like 1.2 hits per day, because my tolerance is a joke, but still. It has a dark spot on it from my roommate trying 5v, but its still doing it's thing. I just need to clean it- anyone happen to know if they can be iso-soaked? I keep forgetting to ask Source. I have a second one waiting to be pressed into service because I e-mailed about my first terra working inconsistently- they immediately sent me another one, good on them. Turns out I was just overestimating how fast the terra heats up, and pulling too fast on the orb. The Terra still doesn't put out much vapor, but that might just be because I haven't cleaned it yet. Jury's still out on whether it functions 100%, but with my lack of tolerance its a non-issue atm.

Once the terras are back in stock, I plan to order a 5-pack (hopefully there is some coupon still working), and I am thinking about a mech mod with an ego adapter to avoid having to power cycle every 10 seconds.

There are still elements of the Source business model that leave a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, but hell, Apple etc have been pulling the same crap forever, and they are good about warranties and their customer service is responsive (except if you bring up said business model issues- lol). So now that I have eaten the start up cost spike to get my hands on an orb, all I have to do is keep myself in terra attys and I'm set.

I'm glad to see people taking my advice and going to ebay for batteries. There's no reason to waste your money on theirs (unless you must be 100% sure of a match in finishes with your orb- but apparently gunmetal ego twists match so meh) when they can be had for substantially less with merely a change in branding.

As far as waste goes, I'm finding with Tetra Labs pure gold (super expensive, so it matters) that I can just keep using it until there's a bit sitting at the bottom below the donut that won't vape- and then everything else I load can be completely vaped through.

Double coil wickless. The only atomizer out of 5 that worked when I purchased. Still waiting on my warranty replacements, can't wait to try the Terra

Took the plunge. just ordered the black chrome attachment that comes with 3 wickless double coils and the terra. I wish i read through the thread more thoroughly before ordering but I will let you guys know if my order comes timely and how many attys screw in. The website said in stock. So hopefully all goes well. This thread has been quiet.

I ordered the same and a big rig. A bit worried by this thread but there are good and bad opinions so hopefully we get lucky.
