Im not 100% but that sounds close enough to simply be a measurement error. Did you say you had a charger already? If that has the correct jack on it you could cut and swap the jack end on the new cable if it turns out to be the incorrect size?

Good call. Thanks! Yeah, already got a charger but its from a fake pax that for some reason only had a 5v charger. I got it off a guy on another forum for £20 with a screen and 2 mouthpieces that I needed anyway so its not a major loss, and we had discussed it and didn't know if it would work or not so I took a risk.

So I have a chance at returning my recently bought Pax to contribute towards the Pax 2, but I have to clean it spotless. Everyplace else, I've cleaned to pristine perfection, but the oven continues to elude me. How can I get the oven back to near original condition? Youtubers frequently allude to the possibility, but don't demonstrate.

Have you tried a Magic Eraser? cut off a piece from one and use a wooden stick (like a chopstick) to clean walls (use a pinch of water on the eraser)

I often get black in the oven corners that a Magic Eraser won't remove. I wanted it out once so I cut a tiny piece of steel wool & held it with a clamp I found in our first aid kit. I could get right into the corners & the edges of the oven that sometimes go black. You could do it with tweezers just be careful not to scratch the oven. I've only done this twice when I was really fussy about keeping it clean but it came out spotless & the flavour was great. The steel wool wants to stick to the magnets & it's all a bit of a hassle checking every fibre is gone when you're finished but it works if you really need the oven spotless.

Well what do you know @Vitolo already covered that two years ago. Sorry woulda linked it if I'd have seen it. Q-tips tend to bend so I use a clamp but same thing.

I still really like my Pax I leave it clean & packed & it's just so easy. It's not my only portable but it's the most convienient one.

Check the video.. I only use medical cotton swabs with long wooden sticks.;)

I did & they're good ones, now I'm thinking it came with a couple of wooden ones but I can't quite remember. Thanks & nice soundtrack.

Just writing in to say I have a new found appreciation for my Pax! Ran out of flower the other day but have a big pile of kief in the grinder. Dropped in a couple of scoops and pressed a spare Pax screen tight against it and it's heaven!! Never thought I could vape straight kief out of this device but man, does it work well. Tasty too. Original Pax love is still strong with me!

Just waiting to get mine back from pax repair center then it's off to it's new home somewhere sunny :). Haven't used it much recently but was able to get a last charge on it and did enjoy a farewell session.

Overall been a great vaporizer to own the last couple of years. Just with the new pax2 and other vaporizers in my collection. I just don't see myself using it anymore. So it's off to somewhere new...where it will be used and loved instead of boxed and forgotten :)

Since purchasing my Herbie I haven't used Pax at all plus the Pax started having issues with the rubber seal popping out around the oven. I contacted support and had a new Pax 1 arrive yesterday. Service was excellent and what I am enjoying the most is using Pax without the learning curve. After 2+ years I know all the nuances and how to properly clean/maintain. I think I may have found a new love for my old Pax!

Interested in an adapter for mating this with my PNWT now that it is back and working!

Has anyone tried loading glass flowers into their Pax to reduce space?

I've tried the Pax pusher and the screen method. Neither seems to work as well as the glass flowers. Moreover, the flowers help retain heat inside the load seems to be helping increase vapor production without needing to stir the load

I noticed the same thing this weekend after not using my pax for the past 2 years. I currly have a crafty as my daily driver which I absolutely love, but I blew the dust off my pax this weekend and was blown away by how medicated it got me. The pax was the first vape I purchased ( only used 2 vaporizers beforehand)and was not impressed. I believe it was due to my lack of experience and knowledge with vaporizers. I then purchased a pinnacle pro which I used exclusively until I got the crafty. I think a leaned towards the pinnacle pro because the vapor is hot when produced which was more comparible to smoke. Now that I am more seasoned I have come to realize smoothness as actually a lot more enjoyable, hence my new found love for my pax.

Could someone explain what a glass flower is?

Glass flowers are these little glass beads that are uses as rudimentary screens for smoking bowls. Here they take up space, maybe knock around your material while in use, and provide a greater surface area for conduction since they have pedals radiating out that resemble flowers. I don't know about the greater thermal mass though, glass v metal.

In other news though, returned the Pax using the cleaning advice given to me on fc! Now am a proud new owner of a Pax 2!

Did Pax let you work something out to trade the 1 for the 2? Just wondering because I was totally shut down on that idea.

I have seen them at local head shops fairly cheap but you can also find them easily on Amazon in different quantities starting around $4. Hope is helps and let us know if you have good luck.

I get tons of vapor with the screen trick, full load, and I also have a pusher/sandwich ordered to try out that I will share my experiences with later. I will say that I think one of the biggest adjustments I made to the way I "Pax" has been to move my holding hand around the bottom of the oven where my thumb rests below the Pax lights and my palm is kind of cupping the whole bottom. Maybe this causes more restriction or heat by holding this way but that is the habit I created and it has seemed to help. Then during my process I will rotate the Pax 180 to hit from a different "side" as well as get one good stir in before I finish it off with a few more vapes. I can take a pic of my grip if that helps but wanted to share because I feel it increases the experience for me and the friends I have shown in person.

@Ratchett
screen trick all the way for me. No hot glass flowers to deal with. No stirring either.

What's your preferred way to fold the screen? I'm using a 0.75" diameter screen, rounded into a taco, and the edges folded in.

I found the screen trick worked great (better than the pax pusher lol), but the glass flowers have really impressed me (I had them from my Ascent)

I fold mine into a taco shape and let the edges stay up and touching the oven lid. I put enough material to where the screen sits far down enough for the lid to sit where it is intended to. If I want to put more material, I just roll the whole screen like a canoli. Ok is this a PAX thread or munchies thread. Lol
I also make sure and grind my material very fine this helps alot with even ABV.

I have some glass flowers on hand, I will give that a go and see how they work out. I have them left from my FM V5.0s
