I have a RooR 'water pipe' (beaker style) that I use in conjunction with my Vapor Heat Wand. The beaker portion of the 'water pipe' is covered with the yellow residue/ oil. I'm trying to think of the best way to collect all of this residue. Normally when I clean my pieces, I always uses a ISO + NACL combination as its cheap, easy, and very effective. Obviously I don't want to use any NACL as to not contaminate the ISO/ Oil mixture. Should I just soak the beaker portion with ISO over night? Will the oil be loose enough by the next day to just poor off without scraping (can't exactly get to the beaker part of a water-pipe to scrape). Recommendations?

So right now I have a 300ml solution containing 70% isopropyl alcohol and the extracted oil condensation. I have no idea how I'm going to evap the isopropyl off. I left the solution outside for 24 hours and it appears not a single drop has evapped. Does anyone have a recommendation of how I can evap all this IPA away safely?

Yolky if your gonna let it evaporate by itself that 300ml will take at least a few days. You can try the other evaporation methods listed in the beginning of this thread otherwise.
So after reading this I'm kinda sad that I threw away all the liquid after I filtered it thinking that what I had on the filter was the best part. What a sad little man I am....
I put a coffee filter in the top of a jar with the screw top on (minus the middle part of course), then had my wand in a bag of 91% ISO sittin around in warm water. Once that all cleaned up and I had the brown stuff in the bottom with the ISO, I cut a corner off of the bag (very small hole), and let that drain through the coffee filter. Had to stop a few times because the filter got stopped up, but this was a good method I felt like. Maybe not so much for extracting the left over liquid...

I've had my DBV for a week. At first I assumed the residue in the wand was like bong resin - crap I didn't want - and I cleaned it out with alcohol (and threw it away.)
I can FEEL some of you wincing right now as I type that.
Thankfully I kept reading threads here and realized how good the leavings are - and when I let the wandhash build up for a few days (of heavy use) and then scraped some out to try...

I tried vaping it at first, with some herb, but right then I had some very low quality herb and I wasn't happy with the result. Then popped a little of the hash into an old bowl, flicked the Bic and WHOA. I get nice and high from vaping but this was another whole layer of fucked up. Fantastic.jeffp said:

Oh yes, I'm saving that now too. (that first couple of days I was throwing it away like I did with the wandhash, but I learned). I already like making cannabutter (I like to cook), and that low quality crap will now go into a tincture.jeffp said:

As for the ABV I'm pretty sure I already have half a cup in the jar. I vape a lot. I'm probably kind of wasteful too. But knowing I can reclaim it all and get more goodness, I'm just so pleased.

Well my ISO finally evaporated (debris entered the glass twice and I filtered it twice and added a little bit of ISO each time to get all the goodies out of the coffee filter) and the end result isn't quite what I was expecting. This is the second or third time I've reclaimed, this time however is mostly from my grinder (the other two times there was significantly less material to begin with as well).
Anyways, wondering if anyone else has these concentrated areas of oil that I got, and ultimately is this what its supposed to look like? My other runs were much more oily, this is pretty cake on there, the dark spots seem to be just a concentration of the resin. Anyways, any confirmation and I'll be vaping this tonight
Just wondering if its safe or completely out of the norm? After the filtering (though one brown #4 coffee filter) the remains looked very 'pure,' the liquid was a very uniform dark amber, the 'purity' of the initial liquid makes me think its safe but the end result has me wondering.

I just tried this on some old extreme parts and other items and it works well but I left some of the extreme parts in there that were glass and plastic. I see i probably should not have left the plastic soak in there. Too late now but the extreme plastic parts should still be ok to use right or could some of the plastic deteriorate and potentially release in future uses with vapor? Thanks.

excellent informations !!
The straw method works AMAZINGLYYYY well reclaiming the wand oil! Just make sure your wand is already hot so its easier to scrape it. I also held it and lit a lighter to the outside glass a little bit to further heat it up which makes it EASY!
Also you can use something small or your poke tool to rub around the inside the straw reclaim the HO.

I searched through my house one day looking for something to scrape my dbv wand with....I probably looked past 100 straws. I know what I'll be doing tonight. I have probably a month worth of high quality...blueberry, lime kush, bubba kush... wand gold. I can't wait. Thinking I might just have to leave work early.
Edit: yeah, straw gets an a+ I just rolled some weed in with it into a ball, mid vape pack right now....and its great. Its in with some bubba kush, that I must recommend if you are looking for a good night med. Great indica.

It tasted like hot alcohol, end of a vape (burned) popcorny, jalapeno, and cats ass firewater. I almost puked when I tried to take this shot without chasing or mixing it, but boy was I fucked up! (Compareable to the 'first time I ever smoked too much and almost lost it' high) Yeah, this stuff aint no joke - use it carefully!
I plan to take my whw (wandhashwash) and mix it into a sauce of sorts, boil out the alcohol and consume.

I seem to be having some trouble. I'd like to clean out my MZ stem's but over time they get clogged in the screen. Residue from vaping starts to build up from the outside rim of the screen towards the center. I tried to clean with iso alcohol and still it remains. Not sure how I should go about it? Btw, this happened to ALL of my stems. So this is something I need to learn.

I am looking forward to trying this, got a nice maple syrup looking buildup on my Extreme bowl and elbow.
I am just wondering once you scrape up all the resin, what then? melt it down and keep it into a container or do you harden it somehow? how much do you throw in the vape and how; do you just throw it on the screen or mix it in with herb, how much do you use and do you need a higher temp setting to have it vaporize?

Hello, great topic, I have few questions
frist of all, can you make hash from the plastic tube? I just tried a little puff to test (hash scrapped out of my plastic tube), hash was having a bad taste (taste like plastic)
also, concerning wand hash, Can you just scrape it out and smoke it?
