Just wanted to say I called the silicone cover add on like 30 pages back way before buzz posted his reviews
Does Grasshopper's order page say it includes a cover or not? If not, then I don't think it is 100% guaranteed yet.

I just checked, and the order page doesn't mention the silicon sleeve. I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

The order page has not been updated at all really. And we haven't heard anything about a new version yet. I'm pretty certain it will be included though as Buzz said, it is cheap and necessary for back to back heavy users or group users who would be complaining a lot about too much heat otherwise

True, but with all the talk about unexpectedly high costs, they may well decide they have no choice but to charge extra for it. I'm sure they will need to increase revenue per unit at some point.

If that were the case, I hope they would include it free with the pre-orders, as we didn't have the option to purchase it anyway.

Considering its not an accessory you can purchase on the site it would make sense to include it. In the future it could easily be an extra cost though I doubt it. I wouldn't be surprised though of the price of the GH itself went up a little bit down the road depending on their current profit margin

Has there been any talk about a stand-like accessory to hold the pen in while it's charging? What I'm invisioning is an inkwell-style stand with a magnetic ring at the tip. You take the grasshopper, flip it button-side down, and it will hold the device in place magnetically and charge. The base would be a bit weighty so you don't need to hold it down with one hand to pull the GH out.

These are the times that I wish I could quit my job to make stuff like this. ;)

I would think that any e-battery stand would work. They can be had for next to nothing on ebay
Maybe something like this? I haven't heard of a specific one from GH.

Considering I've preordered the Grasshopper. You can bet your ass I'll be making some sweet accessories for the Grasshopper, including a few cool stands to list on my store!

When can one who did not pre order expect to see these units for sale? I am horrible at waiting and wish not to put myself through the immense anxiety

They are available for pre-order now from their site. I ordered mine 2 weeks ago. They are saying delivery in May, but I am not going to hold my breath.

This vape is my Unicorn. I don't really expect to ever see it. But for $130, if there is a chance it shows up at my door, this will be my last portable vape needed.

Actually, lets rename this from Grasshopper to Unicorn until someone actually receives a product.

Hey, maybe Rachett can make a horse head shaped holder/charger for it, with a socket on the top of the head? :-)

I agree that Grasshopper is wrong to have charged my credit card when they don't even have a confirmed shipping date yet.

Many reputable companies chose to wait until a product has entered the shipping process before charging. As it is, by the time we know for sure if our vaporizer will ship at all, it may actually be too late to dispute the transaction (in case they are eventually unable to ship product for whatever reason.)

If that should be the case, I'm not sure what recourse we would have to recover our money. Especially since most of us do not live in the same state as Grasshopper's headquarters (Colorado?)
