Looking at 3 vaporizers

I'm looking to get into the world of vaporizing. I don't smoke a lot, and I don't plan on making smoking an every day thing, but I do enjoy it enough to want my own unit. I'm not looking to put a lot of money into it yet, so I'm putting a limit on myself of around $150. I've looked around and did a lot of research to get down to 3 options that I think would suit me. I really like the Pax from looking at different reviews, and with the Pax 2 just coming out the price is going down. I've noticed two Pax's for sale on this forum for around $120 and to me that's just an incredible deal. I'm just a little nervous to go and buy from someone that I don't know that i just met on an online forum. The second one I've seen that I'm interested in is the Vapium Summit. From the reviews i've seen it performs similarly to the Pax, but for a new unit it's much more reasonably priced at $150. (http://www.vapium.com/shop/summit/summit.html) The third one I've looked at is the V2 pro series 7. The only reason I've really given this one a chance is that I could also vape e-liquids with it, and then also there is a wax cartridge coming in the near future. (http://www.v2cigs.com/v2pro-vaporizer/series-7-vaporizer-kit) I was just curious as to what some of you thought of these 3 devices, and even if you had a better suggestion that's reasonable for my budget. Thanks a ton!

Arizer Solo. It can be had through @PuffItUp for nearly your price range, plus excellent customer service.

Vapman. Basic model can be had for $85. Uses a small torch, hits like a mofo.

Two excellent choices to look at.

Initial thought when I read your thread title... I am looking at more than three vapes, without leaving this spot! :)

I second the Arizer Solo. I've been putting my new one through its paces recently, and it's amazing! Great tasting vapor, efficient, big clouds if you want them. And as @Enchantre said, you can get one for real close to your price range. Less if you can snag a used one on the classifieds. (I got mine there for $60, which was an absolute steal!)

Vapman is also a great choice from everything I hear; the same goes for the Lotus. Both of those are in your price range as well, as long as you don't mind the torch operation.

If you are looking for something even cheaper, look into the VaporGenie. Their classic model is what got me started in the world of vaporizing, and they have other models as cheap as $35. Their main selling point is they can be used with a bic-style (candle flame) lighter, and of course, they're really cheap! Once you master the technique, they can hit pretty damn hard too!

Sorry to not give you anything on the three you're looking at... For what it's worth, I have heard that the Pax is somewhat difficult to clean and maintain. But there are also many people out there that love it, so I guess it really just depends on what suits you most, and if you don't mind a little extra work maintaining it, the Pax could be a great choice for you. The V2 Pro Series 7 has a few fans here on FC, but I would have to say get that one only if switching between e-liquid and loose leaf is really important to you. I haven't tried it, so take it with a grain of salt, but I think there are a lot better vaporizers out there in your price range than that one.

Anyway, hope this helps, and good luck in your search for a vaporizer. And even more importantly, good luck in your decision to Fuck Combustion! It's the best decision you could make for your health! :)

Arizer Solo from Puffitup was $135 for the base package with just solo+screens+silicone rings and free two day shipping. I've had to email or call Randy at PuffItUp to get this package.

The Solo is a great vape ... especially for someone just starting out. Foolproof, easy to use and you can get a slew of accessories for it.......like an inexpensive bubbler and gong.

The SOLO is my favorite portable!
It is cheap so kind of a draw back for those with big ego's!

I have all three units you are curious about, but is there a chance you can bump your price range up? If you can go up to $170 you can pick up either the Arizer Air or the Goboof Alfa from puffitup and I like both better than the other 3 choices.

With the Air you will get the best flavor of the bunch, with the Alfa you will get a considerably more portable/pocket friendly unit. So if you are using it mostly at home, go for the Air imo, if you are using it on the go, then get the Alfa.

If one more vote pushes you into decision, then +(yet another)1 for the Solo.

I have only one regret in regards to that beautiful unit --- that being I didn't decide on one as my first vape! Would have saved much time and early frustration!!!

Good luck and welcome..

Welcome! out of the three you mentioned the pax is probably the best of the three, but I would definitely recommend checking out all the various threads for the vapes that the people above mentioned, just because the first purchase can either completely blow you away and convert you from smoking or disappoint you to the point where you just go back to smoking. Trust me you can never do enough research! Lastly, all the electronic models initially can look very appealing but don't underestimate the simpler ones such as the torch powered, they are often more reliable. good luck!

I think I've decided to go with the Solo. I've found some good deals, and some in the classifieds here for a very decent price. I just had a quick question about it and also one about advice on purchasing from people through this forum. Some of my friends and I also like to smoke tobacco from time to time, so I was curious as to how well the Solo vapes tobacco and if there is something you would suggest I do so the flavor/smell doesn't stick around. I was also considering buying a Solo from the classifieds here, and i was curious as to if anyone knew of a way to setup a paypal account with just cash. Thanks again everyone!

Any mj vaporizer will do fine with tobacco, but it'll gunk up/smell up your vape. Your flavor/taste will be compromised. You'd be better off with 2 vapes, using one for mj and the other for tobacco. At least with the Solo design most of the mess will be restricted to the vapor tube/stem, and you'd have the option of using two stems-one for each product.
