I believe @THC SCIENTIFIC explicitly answered this several pages back. It sounded like we won't be seeing a simple rebranding of existing UP Tech products. Rather UP Tech will be handling some of the production and CS functions for another brand. Interested to see myself how this works out in the end.
this is from the omicron vaporizer for oils discussion. so thats why i would assume that.
We will be manufacturing globes, kiss carts, batteries, and other things, but you won't see anything we make specifically like Okeanos hercules or kiss alpha on their site rebranded.

the past 7 years I have been heavily into iOS games and browser games. During these same past 7 years me and a friend have been discussing in making our own game.
Well this has come into reality as last month we started the company.

So how'd a KISS cart manage to short it out? Wire fry breaking the circuit?

I killed my first V1 single top with an over tightened correctly assembled herc (twisting the NXL on top and didn't know to back out the threads and re-seat afterwards)
Then about a week later while I'd sent in the single top and tube for warranty, I killed my double top on my SS tube with an over tightened KISS cart. Thats was the peak of my frustration. I went back to my Omicron that had been working with 0 issues for over a year and a half and almost gave up on the Persei.

I ran my donut up to about 4.4V although IIRC mine's a higher resistance. Mine never worked well because the KISS cart body has a protrusion in the bottom (to support the coil and ceramic?? - Guess) that makes a cavity for the oil to pool under.
The 1701 has a specifically designed housing of course, so pooling isn't an issue.

@ragnorokk This was a Vapin Donut that I got from Sleepin in CA about a year ago and I put it into a KISS cart body. Not a w9 product. I took it apart a few weeks ago and threw the donut away, so I can't measure the resistance. It didn't have great vapor production.
@joekar I did not although I did try stacking shortly-sliced FC2000 wicks in a circle around it in a vein attempt to emulate the 1701 wick, and saturated those with oil; but it did not resolve the big issue which is the air inlet hole is in the center so you just draw air through it while the oil melts away into the cavity of the ceramic cup.
The solution is a housing designed specifically for a ceramic donut.

or you could wait for the 1701's to be back in stock real soon. Just saying why waste money?
