@vapman your description of the process is very entertaining and informative. i like the fact, that you worked with a university science department on that. what did they say, when you walked in with your idea and explained them, for what kind of product it was intended? :)
when does the power tower finally hit the stores, is the price range still the one you were trying to meet?


and now for something completely different. i just wanted to know, if i was too baked or not the other night, when i was hitting the vapman. so here is my question. :) after taking a hit i held the warm vapman while allowing the hit to take effect. after a couple of seconds, when the vapman cooled down, i swear, i could hear a sound which i attributed to the contraction of the wood back to its initial status. i was under the impression, i could even feel the said contraction. i heard the same sound on the subsequent hits too. but this doesn't proof anything, so i need further confirmation by other parties. anyway it was a magical moment and we all know, that the vapman is magic. :)

I think i am going to order a vapman classic and a bunch more screens to go with my vapman basic. This device is just too nice with conduction concentrate vaporization for me to not get one with a heat shield. Bubble hash, Keif, and shatter? Yes please.

Just for those not wanting to go to full length of constructing something to prevent the rattling, just simply place a tiny piece of paper (toilet paper) on top of the ring and the rattling is gone.;)

I place a small piece of cloth under the funnel (which I wipe the Vapman bowl and screen with after each use) and I also invert the funnel so that it's not flush with the egg - and voila - no rattle. :2c: :)

So I thought the Cadbury cream egg I had yesterday would be my favorite egg of the year. Boy, was I wrong! A whole one day later, but I'm pretty sure this is the one!

Anyone else try and twist the egg? Don't do that, lol, it came out like a jack n the box when I finally unlocked that riddle. Man I felt small then, but everything was fine, and after inspecting the contents. I felt like a giant, wow is this thing tiny, I feel like Alice in Wonderland. Have I Gone Mad?!?

The outside gets only hand warm and the unit turns off after 5 minutes not being used.

@axakal Exactly, when I walked in there, a whole bunch of people from different fields of technology were sitting around the table and I showed them the vapman. After telling them that it is a medical device, the director of the college asked straight out if it would work with canabis as well, I said most probably and everybody laughed. Within three minutes the ice was broken and I was relieved and happy to find out that they were seriously interested taking the job. I have to add that Biel is a very liberal city in that sense anyway and on the other hand vapman is in fact a medical device.;)

@vapman, there's no way around it: the heating station is absolutely stunning. Here I am, just received my first vapman (my first vape!) in the mail just a couple of weeks ago, still getting acquainted with the flame and the crucible, and I'm already trying to pre-justify a station purchase.

I appreciate good design, and man oh man you know how to hit the sweet spot.

Edit: I just read your Saga of the Station a page or two back. What a beautiful story of perseverance and old flames rekindled. Thank you not only for the creation, but for the struggle and now the inspiration.

Hey @Seren, I've seen people invert the funnel ring without the cloth. I wonder if the funnel will dig into the inside of the vapman and leave a round mark..?

I like to put that funnel ring on top of the egg. Also think it's cool how you just have to hit the side of the ring to pop it off and take it off! Easier than I thought it was going to be at first glance, I'm getting cocky and flipping it up and catching it with the same finger, skillz! ;) Got it going very nice and those first few tokes brought great memories of flame vapes of my past. Glad to be reunited with that taste and feeling!

Ed's Cocobolo WonG is a stunner! Are they supposed to fit like the mp? Mine isn't close to being snug, but works just fine. I just leave it on my glass when using and attach VM after heating, or just leave it all on glass then heat, stop and enjoy!

I kind of like that the egg is hard for me to open when my hands are greasy or oily. It reminds me to wash and dry my grubby hands before I touch this precious wood! The intricate detail really blows my mind and gives me the Alice and Wonderland vibe, and I love it!!!

I like the tips about keeping a cleaning rag or what not, I'm thinking of keeping an organic cottonball on top of the mp in the Bordeaux case. See that I stopped calling it an egg, it deserves more respect! That way I can reclaim that wonderful oil even though it seems like a drop in the bucket, that shit adds up!

I watched that video a couple days ago and a few times just a bit ago. I know I'm a bit ADHD so I could have missed it several times, possibly idk what were we talking about? Oh ya no tip, on squeezing the egg on that vid. The instructions tell you but alas, I'm a guy... Thanks for the tips though!

edit - nvrmnd (is that what the kids type?)... I'll post my own when my Vapman arrives! I was so twitchy this morning that the last thing I did before loosing phone service in the mountains was to order a 'complete, walnut' in 'ocean blue', and something I promised I'd never buy - a lighter... I wish it was here today :)

edit @SSVUN~YAH - you don't get off lightly either! I'm eyeing the photos, and drooling a little, and wondering if I could have requested an 'express' or 'ultra' or 'private drone drop-off' delivery... I knew I should have never looked at this thread... you guys are all meanies, but in a good way... :)

@Melting Pot and @SSVUN~YAH awesome photos! I took a couple last night and didn't post them because they didn't turn out that great. I also wasn't sure if I was a bit of a wierdo for setting up a little photo shoot for my vapman... Now I'm even more unsure lol ;)

@M0J0 maybe you could make sticker skins for the VMS as a cheap way to customize them? Have ones with patterns that match the engraved vapman that it heats.

Thanks Nugg and @killick Nah yours is very photogenic, I say "Yeah baby!" in my best Austin Powers voice! I didn't start taking pics until I got all these beautiful wood vapes. The metal and plastic vapes worked fine and a few glass shots definetly should have happened but these beautiful pieces of wood need to be seen by all, thanks for posting it!
