Discontinued VRIPtech Heating Wand

Almost there...
This vape has interested me for a long time!!
Just wish the cost of the glass pieces were not SO expensive!
Makes me think of buying accessories for my MiniVap, an excercise in cringing from th prices...
The bowl is almost 1/3 of the price of the actual vape, an expensive item to break by mistake!

Anyone have both the VHW and the LSV And can compare?

What up fam? Stoked you like the new website it's still a work in progress, but a million times better than the old patch work '99 era store heh?

EddiezHeadiez you can definitely get the updated VHW 3.0 on the site today --- it's still called the VHW 3.0 but it has been updated with the etched tip for best results for those that want to go glass on glass (must hold it straight). It does come with an alternative viton 4.2 seal that allows it to be used with a little more angle in the new VCB4.2 bowls and still comes shipped with the standard medical grade silicone tip seal that also works with the new bowls (just won't seal with angle as the 4.2 seal will); either of the seals provide some minor protection from typical nozzle bonks if someone puts it down too fast after a big delivery too! We run them both ways here just a matter of preference. The higher temp crew seems to like to use a seal because it's more efficient and allows higher temps and the lower temp purists often go seal free because the functional seal you get is good enough. The seal is external though so the path all glass to be sure.

Lazylathe I feel you the VRIP kit is definitely not the cheapest way to go, but I'm willing to bet you'd taste the difference which is where the value proposition comes in. No I promise you you'll taste the difference (I just looked at your "Current top 3"). When you compare VRIP to other high end vapes it's really a great value especially if you already have a nice functional glass piece you could convert. But it's definitely not for everyone agreed and there are plenty of functional vapes out there that are cheaper and/or more durable and/or easier to use no doubt. The LSV isn't really a fair comparison to the VHW though because it's not an all glass heating surface like the VHW --- the similarity is the ergonomics and mode of use. That said, if you want the water pipe vaping experience and aren't stressing the flavor benefits of a neutral polarity heating surface and want something more durable than a heat tool with all glass cover and nozzle than it's a great way to go --- and made in the states! I've never heard of the FakeXhale Cloud though was that a knock off of a VapeXhale? Who was it who said "you know you've made it when there are fake knockoffs of your product."

We could outsource the glass blowing overseas out of Indian or Chinese glass for a lot less and it wouldn't affect the discernible flavor benefit of VRIP design I'm sure, but it's just not in the company ethos. We like to keep it local even knowing there is a premium for doing so --- the owner feels the benefits of local outweigh the cost of the premium and is like family with the glass shop. Our value goal outside of the primary driving force of vapor quality (read: spectrum delivered per pass / FLAVOR) has to been to improve the quality and durability (relative to the material of course) of the pieces through process (our bowls are more ground than tooled under torch now) and the cost effectiveness of replacements by employing a modular system to compensate for the high costs of custom glass. We are working on a next generation heater cover that will be two piece like our bowls so that should help the value cause, but relative to what's available now and the cost of the flowers we're a better value by a long shot even in the present IMHO. I'm a Flavor Snob I admit it...there is no help for me other than more Flavor! Vrip is the vape you don't necessarily share with your clumsy friends.

@ShadowVape

Thanks for the explanation of benefits!
Next payday i am e mailing you to get the correct kit and the latest version!
If i love my LSV, then the Vrip should be next level!

The FakeXhale was one being sold on eBay by one of their suppliers i think...
It was almost the genuine item except no testing and no guarantee.
Some are still working as they should but most failed pretty quickly!

Another one for you:
You get what you pay for!
And i am hoping the Vrip is all that!

Right on no worries and thanks for the interest! Part of the value of VRIP is that we'll make sure you're dialed in to your kit no matter what it takes just ask anyone that has had a problem with an order (we try to make sure it never happens, but so is life). It looks like you've got some nice glass pieces I've got to imagine some of those pieces will make for epic Vrips and if you're into the water pipe ritual, i.e. pack a glass bowl, put heat to the bowl, and take pulls you'll find a home in Vrip Flavor Country I'm sure.

Man that's some shit with a conveniently funny name! I had no idea! Stoked they've gone full in-house production now on their EVO vaporware they're our go-to referral for those that want all glass path and moisture conditioning but with a protective housing on the heater or one-handed function.

Great question lazylathe we've never been a discounter because we run at leaner margins than most as is delivering locally blown glass, but if you're ordering a VHW or HG with VCB4.2 or a 007 kit (our ongoing promotional where you get the heat tool and the Pelican case at cost) and you simply put FuckCombustion in the comments we'll throw in your choice an extra pair of glass screens and a glass poker or a VRIP "Higher Aromatherapy" T-shirt (just put which bonus you want and also put black or white and size in the comments if you choose the T-shirt).

The 007 kits are our ongoing promotional as the concept goes that if a customer gets such a trick carrying case they're more likely to carry with and turn others on to neutral polarity heat broad spectrum vapor which always puts us on the map with others who thought they knew all they needed to know about vapor. Not so unless you've taken a proper VRIP! Truth is in the Tasting! Thanks for asking!

Right on bro no worries we'll make it happen and I'll tell the girls to pack the extra kit. I see your from the Northland so it will come USPS international priority. We just upgraded the ecomm store so I'll ask the tech to make sure that there is a functioning comment section like there was previously; thanks for the heads up and for future reference anyone reading this forum to learn about VripTech just email info@vriptech.com and we'll always get you dialed in.

The wand will come with the legacy tip seal installed and the 4.2 upgrade tip seal wrapped in there with it if you want a "perfect" and more forgiving seal with the ability to hold the wand with a little angle in the new 4.2 bowls (best if you like higher temp/ faster milking vapes) or you can also run it without a seal at all glass on glass (best if you like lower temp/slower milking vapes and are good holding the wand real straight in the intake). I'd swap out to the 4.2 seal and run it first as the legacy seal will stick to the glass and be hard to get off in one piece once used and you might want to keep it as a back-up to the 4.2 seal as it will seal more forgiving than glass on glass which might end up being your preference so would be a good way to get by until you got replacement 4.2 seal if needed in the future. The 4.2 seals are viton so should last longer than the silicon seals, but they are a tighter fit so be sure to hold the glass only when installing it and give it a little stretch out right before you slide it on (we had a customer hold the wand by the handle and break the glass cover where the retention screw goes through before he even got started so don't make that mistake please). Or if you want we can just install it for you since we know you'll be running the 4.2 bowl.

I'm a lower temp preference myself, but have been running the 4.2 seal because I can set it at a bit of an angle and hold the wand in a more comfortable position with the bubbler I've been running. It's easy to hold it straight with a 12" or taller tube, but nice to have a little angle option with smaller pieces.

Right on bro stoked! Just check out our FB, Twitter or Instagram for good fun throwing around our vapor zen musings, vapor slang and porn, as well as, our beloved VRIP acronyms. We're melting flowers dribbled in full-melt cryotrate with some neutral polarity heat using our VHW 3.0 and our VCB4.2_14.4mm so we can inhale the love through our VWT PerK. Yeah, I see why people think we're crazy now. Happy 4/20 Highest Good Day.

Anyone know how long Vrip takes to ship an order?
I ordered over a week ago and it still says "Pending"

Sent an e mail and a PM but no response... Not very enthused by all of this...

Was looking forward to trying it out but this is pushing the limits. Credit card shows that the charge went through on the 16th.

What I do know is that VripTech is not a full-time job for anyone. I would try calling 650-206-2301 and leave a message... and I'd give them until the end of Tuesday before raising my blood pressure.
Yeah, a thousand times this. They can seem a bit flaky sometimes but they're 100% legit and they've been in this for a long time. I still use my 2002-era Vriptech stuff occasionally and it still works great!

edit - Seriously, they -want- you to be loving their stuff and once you make contact I'm sure you'll be happy with the results. I definitely have been!

Just missed a call from Vrip!!
Cool message and i was even left a mobile number to call just in case!! Now that is service!

Just to clarify what is going on. We all know Veip updated their website and it is way cooler now! Unfortunately their new cart system acts up sometimes and I happen to be one of those times.

Long story short, it has shipped and I should be seeing the unit soon! A tracking number is going to be sent to me so I can see where it is.

Now I am looking even more forward to having that first session!

Just received and unpacked my wand! I know I have high expectations when I clear my vape table to try a new one, and that's the first thing I did. I'm really excited to give it a go, but I am trying to be reserved given the quality of what I normally vape through.

The glass is fantastic...what a great piece (the beaker). It's been a while since I used ice while vaping and I'm looking forward to it. This is the purest all glass setup I have...right there with the Vapolution 2. I'll be checking in later after some use!

The Vrip wand arrived tonight!!!
@stickstones Snap buddy!!!

I only ordered the wand and the 18mm bowl set up.
Paired it with my FC-187, I love this WT and know what to expect!

Absolutely zero instructions, no tips or anything!
You better know what you are playing with here!

My first complaint already... The glass screens.
Awesome idea but poor execution here.
They seem to be hand ground or adjusted on maybe a master glass joint.
My third glass screen actually fits in the adapter, while the first two are way oversized. I can adjust them with my diamond bits but not everyone has this capability.

Apart from that small gripe... TJIS TING ROCKS!!
Yes I typed that and took off spell check... Supposed to say THIS THING ROCKS!!

When the wand arrives it iwas set to MAX,Mao I fired it up and it was glowing red hot. Turned it down till it matched the glow I get from my LSV.
Hits were awesome!!! Not very cloudy but the most amazing flavour!!
And it just kept coming!!!

Next bowl up the temp goes to almost full, glow is brighter now.
I have not placed the silicone rings on as I get a great seal with just the glass.
Milk City just appeared!!
And brought his buddy Flavour Town with as well!

The LSV just got bumped!

A more in depth review later!
Right now I am too medicated!!

The LSV just got bumped!

Damn!!! I think you need to come visit on your next day off!!

I used to own the VHW 007 kit years ago when I first got into vaping. It was fairly short lived mostly due to inexperience, and jugging a few vapes at the time (Herborizer, Extreme-q, SSV). I remember getting frustrated with the flipping screens, and was always paranoid about dropping/breaking the wand, as well as all the past issues with defects and returns. Then all the hype with the vapexhale cloud made me kind of move on and forget about the vrip, so it got sold.

Now hearing you two dudes rave about flavour is getting my stoke back on! I absolutely LOVED that top shelf beaker bubbler! I broke the downstem and replaced it with an 18mm which worked so damn awesome, and sadly regret parting with it.

No dark spots in the bowl on upper temps? (one of my biggest peeves of the LSV).... ABV colour? Stirring required?

It amazes me how quiet this thread is! What gives? Reminds me of Herborizer! Are these just cult following vapes?

I got the kit with the beaker, and it is sweet. Used ice for the first time in years...so smooth. Several times over my four sessions I was sure I was getting nothing but then had a huge exhale. This thing is flavor city! I only used one of the glass screens because it fit perfectly, so the other two are on standby. I'm going to have fun dialing this one in!

Do you have the $200 beaker or the $140 pro version? The $200 is one sick badboy...probably my favourite bong with downstem of all time. I'd love to own one again, and may soon enough if i'm sold on the wand! The newer BuB looks just perfect too! I want!

Would you guys say that the VHW is the best tasting vape you've tried? How long is the heat up time? It's been sooooo long since i've used one.
