This one's for you, @Seren.

Mercury Rev covering the late Sparklehorse:

Mercury Rev is uncool now? Actually maybe they are, since they peaked on their first album.

Just beautiful - thank you @EveryDayAmnesiac

Looking hotter than ever in your new avatar pic btw :luv: ...... Can I take a bite of your burger? :D

So I'm the only who reacted to that avatar photo by hitting the gym?:p

And this one. My wife wants me to work up a solo cover of this one. Girls are funny!

LOVE John Prine. Saw him with my husband back in the 70's in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. It was a really small, intimate venue. He was great.

Thought this one might be appropriate. :D

And some of us, um, older folk might remember this tune being used as the theme for the short-lived ABC sitcom The Texas Wheelers. Plus it explains a lot about Gary Busey.

Description from YouTube
These guys have the tendency to play right notes. The songs which coagulate around the noises that come from them seem to be old nightmare buddies with murder ballads and speakeasy jazz (from a purely uneducated point of view, that is). Their references and the inspiration drawn upon are vast: six musicians pulling in different directions, bringing to life an incredible tension.
