Here's a question for those who own both.

Wich one do you grab for most? And why?

I have a Solo but am still doubting about purchasing the Mighty..

Much obliged.

I've only had my Mighty for a few days, but, unless the honeymoon period ends badly, I don't see my Solo getting much use in the future. I think the Solo will come out for slow, sipping sessions. Or if I don't have my Mighty charged.

Prior to getting my Mighty, my Solo was my go to portable if I didn't need to be able to put in my pocket. My other portables filled that role. Now I am, still deciding if the Mighty is pocketable for me. It's borderline too big, so I haven't decided that yet.

For me I prefer the faster sessions of the Mighty over the Solo for everyday use.

Quick, heavy sessions is exactly the reason I have my eye on the Mighty.

Thank you for your input. It's exactly what I thought I would hear :D

Quick heavy sessions is what the Mighty will get you for sure!!! :)

The only areas where the Solo wins is that it's batteries will probably last you longer as it doesn't torture them so much and that it is probably more reliable. Mighty's upkeep will most possibly prove to be more expensive for you in the long run cause you will need about 50$ to replace the bats in a few months and if it breaks down (which happens often those first few months) you pay for shipping it back for replacement or service.

Quick note, I believe it's $50 for the Crafty battery replacement and $75 for the Mighty. And the belief that the batteries will need to be replaced in a few months I think is a little exaggerated. Maybe, if you're using the thing non-stop, I could see that. But normal to even heavy use won't require that. And if your unit breaks for some reason, it seems to be more often then not you get a brand new Mighty/Crafty back.

But agreed that if you're looking for a quick, hard hitting portable, the Mighty should definitely be on your list.

We shall have to see if the batteries of the Mighty will need frequent replacing or not. The Crafty will need it for sure. For me, when heating time goes from 1.40 to 2.30 in a couple of months, it's a sign that the batteries are crapping out FAST.

The failing of the housing and the fins of the CU really is annoying to read. I know the Crafty has alot of issues with this, but does the Mighty also have such weak points?

Battery wise i'm less worried about. I will only use it for outside use, or when i need a big punch at home instead of sippin' the Solo. It will be used every day, but not for more then 3 full bowls.

+ I live in Belgium (we are neighbours of Germany) so shipping will not be a big hassle.

Thanks for the knowledge already! Gonna buy the Mighty definitely, just have to figure out when...

I purchased my Mighty in Nov. It's great. Worked up until a few weeks ago. They sent me a brand new one. Works even better. But I don't use any one vaporizer. I just finished a Solo load. Later on, Mighty will elevate me. The EVO is out, so I'll probably hit on that. It helps justify the V.A.S.

For the $ I believe the SOLO is the best portable!

You are right, I have no complaints about the Solo at all..

At home he is King together with his Queen, the Air. Or when I can make some noise my Vapman is roaring through the jungle.

It's just that most of the times when I'm outside chilling with some peeps, the Solo just bitchslaps me. It takes too long to get where I want. Therefore, I need the Mighty to seriously punch me in the face.

I know it's very subjective how fast and how hard you get high. But am I right in this? Can the Mighty give you a beating in 5 min where the Solo almost needs half an hour?

Edit: I only quoted Ataxian now, but you may all chip in! Cos I don't know if Ataxian even has a Mighty :D

I vaporize alone so please don't take my advice.
I owned a few vaporizers.
Very disappointed!

I have had my Solo almost since release, and I really like it, but it basically never gets used after getting my Mighty. The Solo and the Firefly were basically my only portables I used at home, now the Mighty took the Solo's spot, and its encroaching on the Firefly's use time :)

I don't start on the highest setting. I suspect the Mighty can get you "there" quicker. I like the journey too much (and it hurts my lungs, otherwise).

I always take a couple of hits on mid-temp to begin and then go straight to highest. This way I get the closest effect to the joint feeling for me.

So if I am gonna use the Mighty, I'll probably start at 200° for a few hits and go to 210° (max temp I believe?).

My lungs aren't happy with the high temp all the time, but it sure is better than combusting! Gonna buy some water filtration soon also.

I'm sure the Solo can bitchslap you as well, especially when you go straight to 6-7. I used to suck a full stem load dry in 2,5 draws, usually with the help of a Vapor Lung. But even when using only the included stem and you have some sweet beverage in hand to soften the blow AND your throat can take it, you can certainly cash a load in 3 draws... But it is MUCH easier with the Mighty since you get much cooler hits with shorter draws! Have a good time with your Mighty @McSheamus!!! :D

How the fuck do you cash a stem in 3 draws?! :D

Sometimes even after 12mins there still is vapor coming and only light brown ABV. :p

And I think you read it wrong, the Solo does bitchslap me. But I need it to knock my teeth out :D

I think I'll have a Mighty time, my man!

i would love to try a mighty or crafty and maybe if i have the cash i might just grab one up :).
but just thought i would metion a method i use with my solo when im trying to get a harder punch from it. although maybe not any faster other then the harder hit might mean you turn it off a littler sooner but...

what i do is take a bud and break it into pieces with my fingures, pieces mayby bb size or double that size. i stuff the stem pretty tight not like jammed pcaked but pretty good. turn it on to 5 take three or four draws.

not hugh draws maybe 5 second pulls just to dry the bud more. (i use the hampster method upside down ) this way nothing touches the oven you can even lift the solo of the stem just wee bit if its really packed .

i turn it off after this and dump the bud in my palm, or if too sweaty maybe on a table or whatever.
crush the bud with your fingures and put back in, turn to 6 and vape on :D i find with this method i can get way more into the stem then if i grind first and get a much harder hit .

Interesting method! I've done it before but with bigger nugs, nicely packed. And when I crushed it after a few hits my bowl went from full to half full :D

Try putting together a Vapor Lung and you will get hits of such size and flavour out of the Solo that would embarass a Crafty and a Mighty put together!

i did try and rig up a vapor lung for my solo a couple of years back . but then i just went bought an extreame q instead :brow: .i do find my self using the solo more just because its so easy to just grab it.

i also recently got a turbo stem from planet vape. im amzaed how much more vapor resin it gets built up on the sides ,quicker then the standard stems with the holes. its just wide open with a screen instead for full vapor flow i love it .:D

at first i wasnt sure if i liked it as much as the standard ones . but with a little experience i can honestly say it works better then the normal ones once you get the hang of it .

and if i really wanna get hit hard i just rig up both my solos with my y adatpter :D its vapor heaven lol although with the way i mentioned with pre packing i dont have to reach for the double barrell solo very often at all :brow:
McSheamus
i think if its only half full after you crush up the buds, maybe try pre packing more lol .
thats why i break the buds into the bb kinda size. so i can stuff a lot in there for the pre heat . i know im gonna get hit hard when it pretty much fills the bowl up after i pre heat and crush

I dont see how adding a bag to the equation will some how make the solo taste better than the storz and bickel vapes.

The Lung can pull from the Solo what your lungs simply can't usually... Slim might be able to. :p

Maybe you can't grasp it but you can try it for yourself. Not that hard... ;)

Typically bags are associated with flavor degradation. I cant, I sold my solo already

Typically yes, when they are big and it takes some time to empty them. Also when they are big they usually contain a fuller terpene profile that for some is not as tasty as the first hits.

Not so the case with the Lung though... ;)
