can I send in a working top for the upgrade?

it might still be under the last warranty (don't they extend for a year after service?) but regardless it works i'd just like a touch top

So for $65 we have to send in our original Persei for rebuild. Is return shipping included in that $65???

We pay about 20% of the shipment cost you pay the rest.

This is what I don't understand. Warranty says when it breaks you receive the latest and greatest. Not well we didn't mean to write 3 years in your manual. So I'm going to offer u v3 (piece of shit) if u want the latest and greatest 65$ please its a service fee
If I new all this bullshit I would have bought it off e bay for half price then I would of had the extra 65 for service fee(warranty)
Anyone who was here a year or two ago knows you better buy from certified dealer you won't have a warranty.
So I did vapor warehouse
Warranty really working out for me.

Its your business run the way you want. I'm not a happy customer!!!!

But its my money I'll spend it where I want.you'll get some more of my money once I get my top fixed that's it!!!

I think I'm going to pull trigger on VB-2 give vapor brothers a try.

That should be you're money!!! I've been patiently waiting desk top, flexo.vection duction
Oh well

Current Persei's have v3 tops and that's what we offer for repair work for free.

The touch button top was only introduced as an upgrade for warranty repair work. They will be available as part of the warranty repair for free when Persei's start coming with touch button tops. There is simply no way of for us to make an exception because if we do then it means we have to for everyone else.

As you stated past two years you had to buy from authorized dealer or you wouldn't be covered under warranty that's true, but people also know for the past three years that the Persei has a 1 year free service after that year you have to pay the $65 for a full rebuild.

once again the Persei is limited lifetime this means we have an obligation to repair your Persei for the life of the owner as long as we are in business,

What you are asking me to do is change the limited lifetime warranty and discontinue support for persei's after three years because you want to follow what's written in the manual.

Also I doubt you saw the manual before you purchased the unit because the Persei page on vaporwarehous states this.

http://www.vaporwarehouse.com/site/persei-portable-vaporizer.html

And here is the picture of the warranty just in case it goes down

Now they might have the wrong vaporizer name and fee, the meaning is there. The Persei is a limited lifetime devices with the first year free repairs, parts is free and always will be. Labor is what we charge.

These where the terms you agreed to when you purchased the Persei not the ones in the manual since you had not seen the manual prior to purchasing.

@itschad the unit has to be malfunctioning for it to be eligible for warranty repair and for the v4 top.

So with shipping a Persei rebuild is well over $100. Hardly seems worth it. May as well purchase new and get the "warranty".

What kind of warranty would the rebuilt unit come with?

Really...
That sounds REALLY sleazy. IMO. I typically rely on the warranty info I receive WITH something I buy. I won't remember what is said on the website. And that can be changed by nefarious retailers. That is why it is printed. So much work went into that "user Guide" to disregard it.

To be fair, the Guide says "3 year warranty against Manufacturer defects". I'm pretty sure that his top does not contain a manufacturer defect. It worked fine until it didn't. The Herc killed it.

Edit: that said, I would prefer a lifetime warranty to 3 years, so don't change anything.

Wow dude! I get your upset but now you're just being insulting. I haven't seen a single person here support W9 over you. Everyone here has said they should honor the warranty you received. Which "W9 cronies" has treated you so poorly you feel the need to be insulting?

Hate to pile on, but my experience with W9 was about the same, though thankfully I only lost $30. Was told I was too dumb to use their gear and I should just buy a LayG, gave me a $1 credit towards one lol. Not very flattering... To be fair I felt like I was dealing with 2 different people, 1 very helpful and polite and the other kind of smartass and rude (similar to the above post by THC). Just my 2c

I don't see any likes under my post.
To be honest don't care I'm not here trying to make friends. Just trying to be treated like a decent customer
My bad no insults were intended.

Sometimes I let my anger get the best of me.
Were all not w9...

Yea my issue was a month ago or more, honestly I wasn't even going to mention it since most people here have had good experiences. But I kinda feel it's not fair to the community, I rely on others experiences good or bad for at least guidance on unfamiliar ground. So for me, they seem to make decent gear but caveat emptor imo.

@itschad w9tech only offers one shipping option for international, signature required and it is 30 or 40 dollars... I am annoyed because we pay this high shipping fee, but when it gets to our door the "signature" is not actually required and they just leave the package.

Honestly the signature required thing I swear depends on who walks up to your door with it I have had very expensive orders handed to my wife without even asking and had just a few eo carts where the guy gave my wife shit for not being me

I have a Fluke 83 and a 23. Also AC/DC Current clamp.
And a BK Precision as a back-up to my back-up. We can all thank whoever came to work on my parents house and left that one here a few years ago.
I was going to say I did all the electrical work at your parents house.

Glad I wasn't around that day. Lol

Signature is NOT required for internationnal orders. I dont know if w9 changed it in their auto-emails, but my order falsely stated it would require a signature. When I called UPS (the only available option when I ordered), they told me w9 didnt take the signature required option, as well as insurance for lost package with them. But they do have some other sort of insurance for lost package included in the handling fee as stated by @THC SCIENTIFIC here: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/t...s-and-concentrates.4873/page-1048#post-712613

I want to chime in and say that I think @Melting Pot is correct to assume that the warrantee as stated in the box (not on a website) is the warrantee that should be in effect for that purchase. I also think that the fact that the external (website) wording does not match the inside the box wording could be a consumer protection issue (bait and switch).

Now here is the thing, I do not believe that Gary in any way wants to or has attempted to defraud anyone. I think these are all matters of growing pains for a new business. Over the last 3 years since I started on the Omi v1 my own experience has been nothing short of great with W9. But the business has grown a lot, and Gary has been learning a lot as he goes. It seems he has tried to do that by offering a free v3 top to replace the broken one, I am not sure why that offer was not good enough. Maybe I missed something in the posts though that explains that.

I am not a fanboy, I do think the company needs to be held accountable for a confusing warranty policy, and they need to take steps to make sure it is clear to new (and existing) customers going forward.

Very well put
I don't want v3 because all I read is the problem's.blinking lights. Won't fire cart.reset ,ect
I don't want to go thru aggravation back and forth with junk.
Give me the one you came up with to fix problem don't send me a bunch of problems.

Open heart surgery 19 days ago I don't need extra BS in my life.

I understand @Melting Pot not wanting a v3 top. I read many fcers having to upgrade to an hammer top to resolve their problems with their v3 top, including myself. Mine fires my sr74x with just occasionnal missfires. No complaint there. But it cant fire my sr71 on full batteries. I concluded with myself the v3 top was designed for the sr74, not the sr71. Now I barely use it; my hammer top never missfires and the 1 click lock down fire is practical. So I think @Melting Pot should look for other options than a v3 top. And a v4 top for that matter; users reported tread incompatibility with old persei battery cylinder.

Thats why I think the best bet is to get an hammer top or a vv mod box.

Seems you keep coming out with awesome products.
But u also keep using the public like your own personal beta testers.
At the cost of our c/c keep coming out of our pockets.
R&D is expensive I guess you figured we would pick up the tab?

I can't even believe you're still selling v3
