I ordered the silver P2 and am really stoked to see it and get my grubby hands on it, given all the comments from happy users.

Mine is at the local post office and will be delivered Monday. Unless I break into the post office before then, that is.

But of course I'm kidding...

Or am I? :suspicious:

So pretty new to the portable vaping world. I have a titan-1 G-Pro rebrand that seems to work great but it's definitely cheap and reflects the price.

I can't wait to get a P2! There's an official retailer in town and they are beyond excellent to their customers so I think I'll buy from them. Fiancee and I have some traveling coming up where super-stealth and minimal-parts/durability are key and after much research and debate it seems like pax 2 is the answer.

We've smoked maybe two actual combustible bowls in a month since getting the G Pro (only due to forgetting to charge) and I don't want to go back. I love vaping! Plus we've almost completely quit smoking cigarettes and flavor/smell is improving... and vaped herb is so dang tasty.

To the excellent members on here, thank you for your honest reviews and advice.

To the fine folks at pax who post on here: You seem to actually care about the happiness and satisfaction of your customers. You are the kind of company that my fiancee and I love to support. I look forward to enjoying your product.

Apparently one of my neighbors is enjoying a new Pax2 cause tracking shows it was delivered at around 1pm today and it wasn't to me. The joys of living in a condo. Hopefully you guys had better luck!

Oh no! I'm so sorry :( Message me your order number and email. I'll touch base with you on Monday and we'll take care of you.

In the meantime I recommend reaching out to USPS and filing a claim with them (note the claim number). Call your local office as well and see what details you can get from the driver - if they handed it to anyone, etc. I typically just google the last post office on the tracking info and grab that phone number.

Hey @jambandphan03

Thanks for your informative reports on your early experiences with the Pax2. And now, really I think more importantly . . . . .

Sorry it's a little late! But it sounds like you had a great day getting to try out your brand new toy & going out for sushi :D

Keep that Birthday vibe going - I generally drag mine out for the whole week! Constant excuses to do whatever YOU want to do and get preferential treatment from your partner & friends ;)

So, have a great Birthday-week & I hope you continue to enjoy getting to know your new Pax2!

:peace:

Appreciate the help. I tried contacting USPS today and they were already closed for the weekend. Tracking says it was delivered to the mailbox so they probably left the key for the packages box to a neighbor by mistake.

I'll pm you my info and try to file that claim before I pass out for the night. Thanks again!

Has anyone tried putting in a small load with a screen spacer like with the pax 1?

This is how I am using the pax 2. Had to custom fit the screen a little bit because the oven is smaller but it basically does the same thing as with the pax 1. Screen helps keep it in place and even helps vape the top of the load a little bit for you. I have not packed a full load without the spacer yet

yeah I'm pretty happy with the charcoal finish too, I've favored gunmetal over silver for a lot of things, my small vector hand torch, my grinder, when ever I get that option it's usually the first choice so I am pleased with this finish.

I just got to show the pax2 to a friend, we did a sesh between 3 of us, on a hand broken up load that was pretty full. I ran it on 2 until we stopped seeing much vapor, then I put it on 3 until the vapor dropped, then I gave it a stir and we got many more cloudy hits until I bumped it up to 4 to finish.

I tried to go with out stiring on the hand broken up buds, and found greener in the middle so it does best with at least one stir to break up the larger pieces which just crumble after being toasted. Not really a big deal to do by hand on the fly if you don't have other tools around to help. I do find a med grind vapes well. I need to do more vaping with ground bud again to see how long it can go with out any kind of stir. Was a great and fun birthday, went out for sushi, got to use the pax on my way home :D So stoked it got here so quickly! I'm definitely loving this vape! :luv:

Gunmetal and sushi for the win man. I built a computer with an Antec P182 Gunmetal case, it was a nerds wet dream. I generally like the color black, I have a black Honda CRZ, black Audioengine speakers, black and silver imac, black and glass desk etc. I always thought all cars look best in black and silver butuhhh black/charcoal > silver all day son! Thanks for the Pax 2 tips as well muchacho.

Happy Birtdhay and Happy Easter all.

:D thanks for the birthday wishes!! It was a most excellent birthday, with the Pax2 and top knotch sushi! (if you are ever in Eugene, Sushi Ya is the place to go, they've made us happy every time for the past 5 years now)

Just about to load the Pax2 and start my day. I haven't tried putting the Pax2 on glass just yet, been having so much fun getting to know it native, and the vapor has been so smooth and tasty I haven't felt the need to add difusion, but I will at some point start experimenting a bit. I love my glass too, got to find that balance so both keep a spot in my routine.

Haven't gotten a chance to get caught up on this thread since they started shipping the Pax2. But I wanted to share an early prototype of my Silicone Waterpipe Adapter for the Pax2.

Sadly this first version is not 100% air tight, so I modified the mouthpiece section slightly (Scaled down 10%) and re-printed the mold last night. Vapor polished this morning, and casting revision 2 later today

As you can see - this adapter has my new Multi-fit end which fit's both 14mm and 18mm bubblers.

I should have this WPA finished sometime within the next week, may need a few people to test and confirm it works with the Pax2 since I don't have one yet!

First load is kicking my ass!:D Using flat mouthpiece (felt the hot spot on the raised mouthpiece, I think it's the direct air path hitting that metal button under the raised mp causing that, transfering the heat, the flat one has a silicone bump, so it's not as hot) , started on 2 finishing on 3, where I used to run med/high on the pax1 for the same results. Gentle, steady draw produces larger clouds on 3, med clouds on 2, set it down to type this sentence, and picked back up after it went to blue/stand by for a couple of seconds, and got instant return to purp/heating with no delay, very responsive to motion. Flavor remained strong while set at 2, after a quick stir and tamp I set to 3 and finished the load, taste dropped quickly once I bumped up the heat which is expected...still can't compain at all about the end of the load flavor, its still IMO in the acceptable range of nicely toasted but not bitter or burned tasting, load appears pretty evenly roasted. Over all I am very pleased to have the Pax2!!

my eyes are getting too red and squinty to keep typing right now :ko:

**2nd load will be barely broken up by hand, loaded in small chunks, pressed firmly into the oven to see how evenly it handles unground, denser bud the way you might do it if out and about and no grinder.

Finally it came!! Yay!! I'm enjoying it but still getting the hang of it. I stop blowing clouds after 5-6 hits then shake or stir and do a few more, then gradually increase the heat. I start at 1 petal though.

I'm glad you mentioned the heat coming through the raised mouthpiece. I thought I was doing something wrong. Your explanation makes sense. I like the flat mouthpiece so its no biggie but I really did like the raised mouthpiece on the original model. I'm happy with it. I love how discreet it is and how quickly it heats up.

Is the flat mp reversible; and does it affect airflow? Any tips for getting good pulls off the flat mp? So far, I feel that I pulled better hits off the original Pax

wow very interesting, thanks for posting this @jambandphan03

do you know if you can do this with the pax 2 also?

I'm not sure how the Pax 2 lip-sensing would affect things. He cycles the Pax on and off quickly enough that the cool-down might not matter. You could do this with all sorts of devices. The question is, why would you? It's an interesting trick but it's hardly practical.
