WOW!!!

You really nailed the heating station @vapman!! It looks awesome and seems really easy to use.

When I get one I will definitely be getting a new basic that will never see a flame. Maybe an exotic wood because it won't go through as much rough and tumble as an out of the house flame powered VM.

@NorVape Hydratube action here we come brother!! I am thinking a whip would be a good way to connect to a water tool and still be able to have the VM on the heating station without having to invert it.

For those who have owned both, is the learning curve tough from Lotus to Vapman? I'm use to inhaling my flame vapes while heating, so this will be different for sure.

I have both, and definitely agree the two techniques are different. Very different. To the level I honestly don't think skills with Lotus will be useful with VM. Seriously.

VM is much easier IMO. It's much easier to get heating 'down right' without the distraction of taking the hit. Likewise, you can concentrate on each hit and since you can't modify the performance mid hit (like with Lotus) if forces discipline on you that quickly gets superior results. If a hit is 'too cold' add more heat next time........

Start with a fresh mind and I think you'll have few problems. And those few will be easier to sort out.

Also, those pear and walnut ones on eBay are classy but as usual Randy's deals are too hard to pass up. $130 for Classic and Cocobolo WonG, is this my best bet? Unless there is an upcoming 4/20 sale possibly? Thanks for any and all information VM fans can't wait to join the growing army of Vapman!
I foresee a "For Sale" sign on yor nano...

i already tried the vapman with both my glass pieces and can only confirm your observations. :) now waiting to try it out with a chinese pinnacle hydrotube knock-off as soon as it arrives.

I use my vapman almost exclusively with water tools, and I'm also waiting for a PnP watertool copy atm haha

I hope it fits my need for a portable water solution.

I've got a pnwt and it does do pretty well withy the VM. I do find myself dropping bits though.....you'll see what i mean.

Oh yea and HEATING STATION!!!!!

@Enchantre and @vapman Wow! Wow! Wow! I must have the heating station as soon as you will sell me one! So awesome in every way.

It will truly solve my (wife's) only complaint about the Vapman: she doesn't like the clicking sound of the torch lighters and isn't all that thrilled with the torch lighter to begin with. That's her problem, not Vapman's, but that will go away for our household.

Where this will truly shine for me will be as a bedside unit for combatting breakthrough pain in the middle of the night. I can imagine that I will be able to medicate safely and easily in a groggy state while laying down. I might have my two (and eventually three) Vapman's pre-loaded at bed time just like I keep a pill and a glass of water by the bed.

I mean it: if there is any sort of waiting list for the heating unit, I want to be added to that list ASAP.

wow wow wow wow wow wow

Did I hear something about exotic heating station.:o:o:cool:

@Snappo we're gonna need a bigger wood!!!!:nod:
:worms:
Actually, it looks like we're gonna need only 2 blanks about the same size each (2-3/4" sq. X 4-1/2" length) for comfortable lathe accommodations. @vapman will have to verify. I imagine though, that @vapman has the aluminum cans already outfitted for his standard supply of heating stations, and may not yet, (if ever) be wanting to fulfill orders for exotic wood heating stations ...but than again ...YOU NEVER KNOW:brow:!!!

Any mention on pricing? I already love it!!!

Wasn't in Vanderbilt that responded to 'how much does your yacht cost?' with "If you have to ask, you can't afford it"? Later adopted by Jag salesmen to answer 'what kind of mileage does it get?"

Kidding aside I recall no mention of projected price. IMO that means it's fair game to guess......limited production, lots of R&D involved, I'll guess $250.......

IMO a solid value at that price......assuming the safety gestapo don't burn a finger poking it in the hole?

I don't know how to properly quote...multiquote doesn't seem to work for me...so here's a manual quote. Ok, figured it out...

Post from Vapman page 90: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vapman.94/page-90#post-745964

"Talking about costs, the heating station wil be around USD 150.--, it is not possible to make it for less as I intended to do first. For me, quality comes first and the price is just the result and not the goal.
At this occasion I want to point out, that we will not sell heating stations for USD 150.-- and then lower the price soon after, this price will be up there for a long time, this price is real and not a marketing gimmick!"

RUDE BOY

Space is the Place
A nice piece of technique in a solid alu and wood casing. There are pictures on this thread of a prototype, I think, the final version will be very similar with some minor modifications. The release will be in 2-4 months at the latest. It is made here in Biel, Switzerland and it won`t cost a fortune, we like to keep it under 100 dollars.

This was from November 7th 2014, I've saved up $300 USD for one since I read this post, just in case the retail price increased over what was projected back then and to cover the shipping cost. Hoping that's enough.

Just imagine a matched set of Golden Amboyna burl
Exotic heat station & Vapman
Sounds nice to me.
Don't get me wrong its pretty and all. But I'll take wood over aluminum any day
Just picture it sitting on your night stand or end table worth the extra $$ IMO
Maybe I'll be the only one!!!
The lone exotic. Lol

Agreed! And as far as Golden Amboyna Burl ...I have many oversized blanks that could do it all in one blank!

Everything back on front burner on high watching like a hawk.
Its going to be a tough year on the bank account. Lol

I don't have to be the first to have a heat station. I would rather spend cash get what I want!!!
@vapman don't flip out when i send you a beautiful chunk of wood and I won't flip out on the chunk of Bill that it cost, just the beauty of it.

Adrian, from vapman posted this on their Facebook page.

This will explain things better.

I don't like FB at all so I imagine many of us would have missed this:

GREAT DAY FOR VAPMAN
See how well the "VAPMAN STATION I" works!

Our beauty will be launched on the 1st of May 2015. For the first series we will take orders only on this email address: mail@element-medical.ch

The price of the station will be communicated on our homepage (www.vapman.com) and facebook on April 10th 2015 at 12:00h CET.

First in, first served….

With love from vapman!

Best
Adrian

EDIT: the old price quotes from @vapman may be too outdated now.

I know he's always trying to make things at the best posible price, but we'll have to see what price qoute we get now.

And remember, this is a smart unit with electronics that monitor temperature, and tell you when the vapman is ready (temp-wise), with auto-shut off, so you don't burn your house down... it won't even burn your vapman! Log vapes are not nearly as smart and they cost $200+

I can imagine vapman + station combos, different color aluminum bodies, etc -- I'd love a black one or bare aluminum, so I can't wait to see what they'll come up with!
