Hi, im new in this forum and i would like to purchase a vaporizer but i dony know which one to buy. I'm in doubt between the Arizer Air and the Vapir NO2. The Air is much better than the Vapir? Because the price is quite different, the Air is almost double the price. What should I buy? Anyone out there that has 2 or has used the 2 can answer me? Thanks You.

And sorry for my English.

I'm not at all a fan of the no2. I don't own one (I have used one) but it likely wouldn't be what I was considering regardless of price. If you want a session vape for cheaper than the air, the flowermate v5.0s isn't a terrible choice. The vapor genie and lotus are pretty neat too (and also cheaper than the air) if you don't mind butane. You might get more responses in the ASK FC section of the forum. Just give your criteria and people can give you some recommendations.

I also definitely recommend the air, it's awesome.

Someone had suggested layering, putting a concentrate between two layers of kind.

Just got some hash oil, thought I'd try the technique. Got a bud interested.

Sandwiched the dab of oil between some absorbing herb, set the AA on high, and pulled some puffs thru a bubbling recycler.

When I left to go home, my buddy was extremely happy, still yakking about the consequences of a steady state universe, & with me rapidly disappearing into the sunset.

It was one of the best experiences I have had in a while, cruising home was pure joy!

Thank you, AA! & thank you to the person who suggested the "sandwich" dab!

I was thinking of commenting on this subject and you beat me to it.. I also tried this method a few days ago. And I must agree with you, the results are very impressive.

Here's my short story: I was able to procure a half gram of this concentrate called Earth Kush Shatter (apparently people use it to "dab") for $25 from a clinic in the Inland Empire. The texture and appearance resemble a piece of glass, and it will literally shatter into small pieces if you don't handle it properly. I used the sandwich method that was mentioned a few times here in this thread, which is basically putting a small piece of concentrate in between two layers of herb. I set it to green temp (I'm not sure which temperature would be best) and started off with some light puffs. To my surprise, even a light drag was producing tremendous clouds of vapor. I can honestly say I've never seen such thick clouds from my Air before using concentrates. The other intriguing thing about it - it keeps going and going and going. I kept taking drags one after the other - 9, 10, 11 drags - and it was still going strong, producing thick clouds and still had the "fresh hit" feeling. One session with the concentrate sandwich felt like 2-3 sessions with normal herb.

I will say that mixing concentrate with your herb will definitely alter your high and the taste of your hits. You will most likely taste the concentrate more than the herb itself. That may be of concern to you Taste Aficionados. Also the high that you get is not the same high as using pure herb. After using the Shatter Sandwich many times now, I've been more plastered to the couch lately and lazier. In general I prefer the pure herb high so I can still function and do daily activities. But if you want a more stoney, lazy high the concentrate sandwich is the way to go.

how tightly are you packing? I find a medium grind and loose pack works the best.
Yeah I'm guessing that I'm either packing too tight, the grind isn't fine enough, or the weed is too sticky. Thanks for the response though.

Bubbla Bubbles Beautifully. Cant wait to get that custom slide from Mr. Joda!! Its going to have 2 aliens fighting over a dripping dab hanging off the side of it.... Ok no its not, but that would of been cool... And way out of my price range LMAO... It will have a little color, but nothing too crazy, still though.

As for the NO2... All i have to say about that one is Willie Nelson let me down that time.....

Ran out of Pepsi, corner store only had coke left :bang:

I tried pulling from just the stem + black tip with weed inside without the actual arizer air unit and the air flow seemed to have less resistance than from just pulling via just the unit (I took off the gated part and pulled in air from just the black rim).

Can anyone else test to see if it's hard to pull from just the unit itself without the stem please? If you do this, please remember it can be hot if you recently used it. Thanks

I tried it, with the unit off. No resistance pulling from the top of the unit without any stems.

Are you using the silicon skin? Im not, if so try without. If not... I dunno

Nope, no silicone. Did you take out the gated part?

No.... But i dont plan to. I tend to leave well enough alone when i can.
Oh, you can easily twist it off like a water bottle cap.

I'm not getting any resistance with the grill still on too, only when I take it off and pull from directly the heating element.

I don't have an Air, just a Solo, but I use all usable temps on the Solo (2-7, 1 is not even 200f...) depending on the mood. Lower temperatures tend to be less body-high. And excellent flavor to boot. 5-7 for water paths though, too hot/dry for me.

With my Air I start at white (2nd colour) for a couple of tokes and move up to green and yellow to finish off the bowl; red tastes pretty bad sometimes; and it is a heavier stone. I prefer to dump some cashed-at-yellow bowls into the Volcano to finish them off at higher heat.

Is it possible to get something clogging up the air path of the unit itself? I've had my air for about 2 months now and recently it got harder to pull with barely any vapor production. The herb doesn't even get dark. The stem itself isn't clogged so I'm starting to suspect maybe the unit itself it that were possible. Anyone else have a similar problem?
Ok, I figured it out. There was a piece somehow stuck inside the Air's air path. How I fixed it was I first took off the grill. You can do that by twisting it off; make sure it isn't hot though. Once it's off, take off the black ring on top of the heating chamber, and then put your mouth on it and pull. If you pull hard enough, hopefully whatever is obstructing the air path comes out. For me, there was a hard burnt little ball that came into my mouth. Hope this helps anyone else in the future with an air flow issue that doesn't relate to the stem.

The Vapir, IMO, is a part of past vapor lore. Just that. Past.

The AA, on the other hand is present, and future perfect.

Get some fresh air. And get an Arizer Air. You won't look back.

Also, the Vapir is a scrutiny magnet, whereas your Air will attract less stares and glares.

Shop around, @mora3s, you won't have to pay full MSRP.

PS Your English is fine, far better than my :ko:

Great, glad you got it sorted out (although I'm not 100% clear on how jamming one port makes a huge difference....) but I think there's an easier/safer way?

Since the 3 "rings" seal so well to a stem, why not just insert an empty stem, lift it up a bit, and honk on that? The effective vacuum/pressure involved should be the same and without the lip of the stem to block the hole.....

The plastic tipped stem still kind of feels restricted without any weed in it when i rip it really hard and I wanted to rip it hard to clear the unit so I figured it was best without the stem.

No OF-fence meant, BILTK how one "honk" on a raised stem?

"Sittin on a fence, watching all the stems rool by...":brow:

I wonder if I'm the odd one out, I start and keep it at green, then later on in the day I do the same bowl with orange then red. Red though makes me want pass out

Don't dial red on the Grand Army Plaza, in Brooklyn.:uhoh::cool:

So I been using my @Ed's TnT wood stem designed specifically for the Arizer Air for about two weeks now. The fit is perfect. It slides effortlessly into the heating chamber. It is well designed and can be adapted to any 14mm water tool . It is however a bit different from using a glass stem. Of course it is not going to break like glass would if your were to drop it. Due to a different material being used it requires more of a heat up time compared to glass. You will need to give it about a extra minute to heat up once your heater reaches temp. To get almost the same results as using glass in my experience you would need to start a temp higher. I always start on green with my air when using glass and yellow when using the wood stem. Airflow is limitless , some may not like this and some may. It is free flowing with this stem and you do need a few seconds between draws to let the heater get back to temp. If full free flow of air is not your thing than just twist the stem while inhaling so the 4 holes at the end of the stem mismatch with the 4 holes on the heater. You will hit the sweet spot while inhaling and feeling less airflow. Also packing tight will reduce a bit of airflow. I personally got my best results with a somewhat fine grind and a light tamping with my finger when packing. Flavor is great and on par with glass while having a touch of wood taste wich was really nice imo. cleaning was super easy while warm and recommended to do so every few packing so to keep your screen clean. I just used a small brush and twisted it around and it has stayed perfect so far. I also gave it a try with my water tool pictured. Highest temp setting is what worked best and gave me nice cool vapor with some big clouds. Any temps lower than high and I was not getting much cloud coverage . All in all this is a great stem and the perfect option to have in your arsenal. It's always nice to have something you know will last and not break on you if dropped. A huge plus to be able to adapt to water tools and the quality is top notch. Ed is also a great guy who would do anything for us here and stands by his products and is always connecting with members of this forum on many different levels. He can be found in the Vapor related equipment thread here on the forums . Also I apologize for not having the best camera but I'm sure you all get the idea. Enjoy your weekend all and fuck combustion .

** Also if purchasing you do not want the stems for the solo , make sure to tell Ed you'd like it for the air, the solo stem will stretch your rubber gaskets in time and the diameter is a bit big. These were made smaller diameter for the air .
