Source Orb Pen Vape

Sourcevapes- is it OK to soak the wickless atomizers in ISO? I hit a point with each atomizer where its starts tasting not so good. I'm guessing this is from the reclaim. Is there a trick to keeping the atomizer in good shape? I dont run it dry where it starts burning the leftover oil, but the taste just goes away for me. Any tricks for keeping the atomizers clean would be appreciated. I'm generally using high quality shatters. thank you!

Just sold my old Source Orb v1 and got a v2, it's nice but I have a few problems with the build quality. My biggest problem is that the mouthpiece doesn't properly screw into the base of the orb, it just keeps turning in the slot and comes out pretty easily. Also the holes in the top part of the mouthpiece are placed a little bit off as in this picture.

Not a big deal or anything but it just strikes me as odd, and it seems like I probably just got a bad unit, specially since the build quality of my v1 was perfect. I also have a problem with the herb baker atomizer not screwing in, similar to what some people were saying on the last page but the atomizer still works if I fiddle with it right and it seems it's just not put together properly.

I'll be contacting support about my issues, but other than that it's a huge improvement on the v1. There are 4 large holes in the base as opposed to the 2 smaller ones in the v1, this gives the pen much greater airflow and it's a lot easier to take draws. I really love the herb baker and how it actually vapes herb with a nice taste. The Terra is also really nice tasting but I think I prefer the monster hits from the double coil. The oil container that comes with the v2 premium kit is made from a better material than the first one, but I still prefer my old Stok containers.

Another thing I found odd was the premium kit came with what seems to be an atomizer from a Source 10Cig v3 instead of the hanging coil atomizer mentioned in the manual. I never liked the hanging coil in my v1 so I enjoyed the change but I was very confused as there was no mention of this atomizer anywhere on the product page or in the manual.

You are correct, due to customer feedback, we have now replaced the Hanging Coil Atomizer with a standalone SOURCE 10cig Concentrate Attachment. These are one of our most popular items and can be used with any 510 threaded battery.

Ya, I emailed support and they're sending me a new Orb and replacement atomizer, along with another 5$ giftcard, which are really starting to stack up

ive been kooking into this pen fo a few days now and im about to order. i have a few questions:

1. is this a new pen? theres not many posts.

2. how is the terra piece? anyone tried it?

3. how does it compare to the eleven pen?

I think this is a fairly new pen, I think the v2 orb came out around Christmas I believe that's when I ordered mine.

Terra is alright, it taste great but not huge it's, those come from wickless attys.

And this blows the eleven pen out of the water. I had an eleven pen, I actually bought about 5 pens before I found the orb. It is the best hands down I'm done searching for pens. Orb is the best you won't be disappointed

sounds good. i was torn between which one to get. i already have a dr dabber which is great but i want something wickless aswell. i think ill order tonight.

Yea I had the dr dabber as well, it worked alright for a week and then just slowly stopped hitting good.
Go with the orb brotha it hits sooo hard it's so good!! The elven pen doesn't even compare at all, I bought that after the dabber.

Thought I'd update on my situation. I was told to mail my coils back for a replacement 5-pack. The replacement 5-pack came today, but they're a completely different build of double coils than the original 5 packs. The original double wickless coils is the best product on the market (the ones that actually screw in). Whatever I received today isn't the same product, and don't burn nearly as well. I would never pay $30/5-pack for what I got today.

Their service is great, and I can tell they're trying, but this runaround is a headache.

Do these sit higher than the original ?

So what's up with the herb baker guys? I love my terras and double wickless coils so that herb baker got me curious. Can anyone comment on if it vapes herb well?

Need some advice FC,
I'm very new to wax/concentrate pens and purchased the source orb due to what I read here and on reddit.
One problem... I can't get it to give big hits... Not even medium ones. I barely taste anything and have to literally squint while blowing near a light to see any vapor.
I put a half pea sized dab on the dual coil, melted it and then screwed the top on. The hit I got was a 2 on a scale of 10. Maybe 1.5. After that, nothing.
Next I tried the terra, put a slightly bigger dab on the donut, melted it in and screwed the mouthpiece on. Nothing. No vapor and barely any taste.

I have the dial set at 4 volts, using a kanger evod VV 1600 mah battery.

I'm pretty sure the orb I purchased is not a knock off ( it has the source logo and 4 beefy intake holes), so maybe I just have older, first gen atomizers ? My Terra for example is in a ceramic bowl that goes all the way around where in some pics it seems the Terra has a split ceramic bowl?

Instead of approx sizes (pea, rice, etc) can someone please post the weight of concentrate they are using ? Thanks so much. I really want to enjoy the orb with you guys lol!

Sourcevapes, I did email your support team and received a response from one of your reps. However I did not purchase directly from sourcevapes (I wanted to but reading how long shipping was taking led me to a local shop that carries and highly recommends the orb). All the employees there said they love it but have never used the Terra itself, so they couldn't tell me what the best voltage, amount of concentrate to use, etc. Once the sale was made they were not very helpful at all. So now I'm here for support while emailing you guys as well !

Thanks for the quick responses BTW. Both here, and via email I received a reply within 10 minutes.

Edit: can someone please recommend a weight that will get me some good hits please !! Waiting patiently... I've already wasted A LOT of wax in this thing and still not feeling any effects

Well it seems I (of course) was late to the source orb party and now the hype is gone. The last two pages of reviews on the source site says a lot.

I guess I either wasted my money or maybe my expectations were too high. Still, I never blew a single cloud on the orb... Couldn't even muster a wisp. Apparently source only provides support for those that ordered online? Once I stated I purchased locally all I've heard is crickets and seashells. Silly me for supporting local brick and mortar stores !

I'm glad some people seem to be getting great results, I've had the opposite.

I've been running approx half a gram through mine everyday for months now. Up until I lost it last week. Great clouds. Maybe you have a bad battery?

Maybe, maybe not lol. I have a brand new kanger 1600 mah that lights the coils up fine. I just can't get a hit to save my life. I'm a total noob, I just need to know how much is enough to get good hits but not be excessive. Are you putting half a gram in the Terra? That atomizer is the reason I purchased the orb and I cant find any directions, clues, guidelines, recommended amounts, etc. Every video and review I've seen or read people just drop wax in there and get rips. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Just keeping up my trend of somehow only buying shit that never works the way its supposed to. Very stressful! I wish I could take a dab, it would help!...

Shit I didn't see that you're using a Terra. I'm running the dual coil wickless. I'm loading between 0.05 to 0.1 g at a time though. Smaller loads work better and cause less mess for me.

Well I have the dual coil atomizer as well and putting 0.1 gets me NOTHING. It certainly melts right away but I get absolutely no flavor, cloud, etc.
Going back to my VPX and crafty. Dabbing is dabbing... This here seems, more like dabbling.

Sorry to hear that you're having issues .
But I don't think it's the amount , that's causing the problem of No vapors.

You can see it heat up and melt the wax .
So it seems to have power , at least .
But can you actually see vapors forming ?
Do you have good air flow ?
No blockage ?

Also , just because you purchased it at a LHS .
Source should still honor the warranty process . IMO

Great airflow, no blockages either. I see vapor forming, screw on the mouthpiece and take a draw. And nothing. My coils light up super bright however I already see concentrate collecting underneath and on the sides of the bowl. I thought these coils were supposed to sit low to prevent that.
I don't get it. My Seego vhit 3 with a cheapo battery works fine. So I decide to upgrade and this is what I get lol. Wasted wax and the most sober I've felt in years. I literally haven't medicated all day. But I've been trying !

Just a guess ,
slow your inhale .
you may be sucking too hard and
inhaling the wax off the coils and onto the sides .

This pen works for me , it's been my dd for
portable dabbing .

what about the warranty ?
I thought they offered to help .

I loaded up .8 in the dual coil at 3.8v and I finally got 2 nice hits! Is that normal? How many hits are you guys getting with that amount ?
Poon, I'm drawing just enough to where I hear the air coming through, maybe a tiny bit more. Chamber sides are clean so that's good. Think I'm gonna order a pack of coils soon, holding out for the next promo for now. What's your experience with the Terra?
