Lol no I wish, those are the examples I sent to Joda Glass to see if they would duplicate well as an Air/ Solo stem. The first 5 vase shape ones on the top row left hand I hoping would add to the Air's ninja like qualities.

Wunner-full thinking. Indeed, they are sun catchers.

@vapen00b looked into hash oil and wax this week. Ended up with sticker shock after being told
$70 and $60 for minuscule amounts of these concentrates. Will try out your techniques when I take my fattened wallet to market at the end of the week.:hmm::ugh:

Wonder if its only stainless steel wool you can get from a hardware store? Has any1 info on the pad sizes? Just visited Bickel&Storz Website and the got different pads... but couldn't get the specs for the volcano pad, since they don't sell it alone. Only 4x for crafty/mighty and 2x for easy vape (30 mm dia)... Wonder which ones would fit best in the Air??

No, definitely not steel wool. The 'correct' pad is a single very fine (.004 inches IIRC) round wire woven into a tube then packed into a biscuit shape. On long wire, two ends.

It's fairly easy to tease the pad apart to get to the ends of the tube, then cut off a piece (sharp scissors) cutting as few strands as possible (you want to end with two ends again, not lots of shards).

S&B is the source, they (or their dealers) sell Volcano pads (two types, either work) in pairs for about ten bucks. Plenty of material for lots of playing.

You can also use cotton (which doesn't scorch at vaping temperatures), some insist on organic cotton, the rest of us are quite happy with fishing the packing out of vitamin bottles......

Added a Vortex stem to my SAS-fueled collection yesterday. Tried the stem out last night with some Platinum Wreck and loved it. I find the Air less harsh without water than my Solos. But, the thicker walls and added length of the Vortex definitely make for even cooler, smoother vapor. Even finishing the bowl on red didn't hit me as harsh. It seemed to me that the sesh lasted a bit longer than normal. Maybe I was hitting it differently?

I didn't tell my wife how much this thing cost. I don't know that she'd see the value in it. She did, however, like the cooling effect.

I have never had a good experience with cotton! IDK maybe my lungs are sensitive but I can feel fiber like material. This happens even when I vape with my enano through water. Doesnt make sense but the feeling is distinctive and hard for me to miss/ignore.

Ok so I have ordered the vortex pvhes and a pvhes turbo gong. To be honest I think the stock stems and the stock solo stems seem to work best for vapor quality and cloud action. With the vortex I seem to get really wispy hits. I mean they are nice and taste good but to me it's way too much air coming in..seems way too free flowing..and anytime I hook my air up to water as soon as I start to draw the bottom button will start flashing as if it's heating back up? Is this common or should both lights stay solid? I'm using a small perc and I have my lotus j hook run through an ash catcher and with both these setups I get hits but nothing along the lines I do with my lotus...am I doing something wrong or does the air just not produce milk in the bong??lol

Ok have to mention it just because of the great customer service.

I went to PV to see if they updated their stock on stems and I saw a 14mm PVHEGong
so ordered it immediately. After the order processed, bout half an hour later I got this in my email "

Hi,
Thanks again for your order. Very sorry, due to a system error one got listed in inventory for a few minutes but we currently do not have any 14mm PVHEGonGs in stock at this time to fill your order. They are on back order and will be several weeks before they are in stock again. Please let us know what you would like us to do with your order.
Best Regards,
PV"

I replied asking if they had the 14mm Turbo and if they did I would pay the difference, when I got the reply I was stunned.

"Yes we do, just give us the word and we'll upgrade you for free."

Unexpected and I think I'm in love.

I kind of have the same problem with my air , it just doesn't milk my pieces well at all. I have tried 18mm pvhe and custom pvhe , i did get some nice clouds but no milk in the piece itself. The vortex i can some really nice hits out of though , i like that stem allot. When the light starts flashing on your air , it means you kinda overwhelmed the heater and it looses its temp and is just trying to reach that temp again. It happens when you introduce more airflow. I try twisting my stem when it happens so the holes in the stem dont match up with the heaters and it produces a bit less airflow. I find this also happens when i don't have a freshly charged battery in. I have been beta testing a Eds wood stem that is 14mm and working great , i'll have some pics and a mini review up here by monday for everyone.

If your getting too much air, have you tried packing it tighter? I havent tried my vortex yet, but i get great hits with the turbo and the shorty. Thicker clouds than any of the stock air or solo stems.. I noticed with the turbo i can pack more into it without restricting air as much too.

Oh and Go GATORS!!

I am sorry , i just have not had much time these day's but my testing is done and very positive so i think Ed will be making some soon for everyone. I think everyone who orders will be very happy when he makes them available and i'll get you some pics and what i think about it posted soon , they pretty much work just like they would in a Solo and the Solo stem's have been around from Ed for quite some time now.

Yeah it's definitely trying to get back to temp and that seems unlike the air..I seemed to have better luck with a regular planet vape carbed gong..over the turbo..I guess it's all in what your personal preference is. I guess I will need to further my looking to find a batter power vape with ability to milk..any ideas?

Is it possible to get something clogging up the air path of the unit itself? I've had my air for about 2 months now and recently it got harder to pull with barely any vapor production. The herb doesn't even get dark. The stem itself isn't clogged so I'm starting to suspect maybe the unit itself it that were possible. Anyone else have a similar problem?

Anyone know if we are to expect some killer sales on 420???
ALT adapters, in a league of their own, are going on sale @ midnight. They pair well with PV GonGs too.

Wow. I'm very pleasantly impressed... What a nice bit of kit indeed.

Nothing that hasn't been said before I guess, but it's tiny lol

If you don't have a problem with the airflow on the older model Solo, you will love the Air. I find it extremely easy to manipulate airflow by just lifting the stem off of the bottom slightly, however it seems that I keep on coming back to the plastic tip stems. I'm finding a harder draw with my Solo stems, maybe because they fit so snug.

Even after tonnes of uses, I still can't get ANY stems to fit when the unit is cold! Once it heats up a bit it's a non-issue though.

You weren't wrong  the airflow really has been improved very well. Esp considering how tight those stems are.
I like the plastic tipped ones too, I've had two for a couple of months that I've been rotating in my solo (just to make sure, before buying an air, that I didn't think they were awful).

As I use my solo, and now air, outdoors 99% of the time and it was these new stems (as well as the size of course) that had made me consider the upgrade.

Very happy with my air :D

Huh, running into a strange issue with my Air all of a sudden:
Ran a regular session, seemed to end early. Now when I start the Air, it looks like it's heating up normally and then suddenly the blue "heating" light starts blinking erratically. Once that starts, the Air beeps and shuts down in a few seconds.
Seems to happen with both of my batteries, currently giving it a charge to see if that will fix the issue :\ Anyone else encounter something similar?

I remember something about someone asking this to Arizer themselves. If i'm right and it's the same problem, your problem is caused because you choose your temperature too fast after putting it on.

Put it on, wait a couple of seconds, and then choose your temperature.

Hard to remember, think this was it. Maybe he also said to reset your device, but am not sure of this.

There are some badass new stems at PV, and only 15 bucks too. Like the vortex but with colors and bent stem options.

So many options!!!

@WoodVillain posted the manual reset for the air:tup:, its post #3276 (number in bottom corner of post) cant remember the page number but should be easy to find. Not sure if this will help but worth a try if your still having problems.

Think this was for two solid teal coloured lights, but think your right about waiting before choosing temp this is what caused it.

Mine happened after using it multiple sessions back to back as well.. Im thinking its because the unit has worked too hard and/or over-heated... But i cant be certain really. Im just glad it didnt keep happening LOL
