But what if they started with a different shape, instead of a box how about a cylinder or a sphere, and then see what type of device they would arrive at?

You mean something like this?

New vapor(er) here;) Gotta say this is the best improvement in partaking since Fire. My first vape was a total surprise. Really, really smooth, no harshness, and taste! Got a strong hint of lemon, which I thought was totally off the wall. Did not expect that. I think I need to get a better grinder to decrease particle size, been using my knife. No problem, just a bit inconvenient. Thanks to this site for opening my senses!

Over the falls, in a barrel
Cinema: take jacket off, exhale into sleeve which dilutes and directs the vapor towards the floor.
You could really take this idea home: carry a 5-6 foot silicone whip with you, coiled up in your jacket pocket. Make sure it's clean so it doesn't stink. Maybe rig a bit of dryer sheet on the end if you like? Once the lights go down, uncoil it so that one end is down on the floor and the other in your hand.

Now you can exhale into the whip and blame it on the guy in front of you……

Kinda like being on a plane with a bad case of the farts and letting a silent but deadly go and when the person next to you complains you give the person in front of you the evil eye and quietly say 'oh c'mon'....

Hey all! Good night! Does anyone knows if it is ok to use the mflb without the battery push back ring? I personally don't like it very much. Cheers!

Oh, and by the way... Has anyone tried these batteries? (http://www.adorama.com/images/Large/bysonmaa4.jpg)

I'm thinkin about buying some of them... Cheers!
Those may work just fine, but the batteries from Magic Flight are much better. Don't let the 2250 mAh rating be the determining factor, they should last twice as long and run more consistently than any other Ni-Mh battery you will find. Magic Flight had these made just for the Launch Box and they are worth the extra cost, IMO.

Wouldn't you wonder what all the little green oregano was doing in there however? It's great to have a window since you can see the vaporization process but it deducts a point on the discreet factor. I guess you could put some artsy sticker over the lid however effectively covering the window and making it look like a wooden box entirely.

I would dump it if I was in a bad situation and then say it is a fancy ring box. =)

Ha a very stinky ring box.

Just got my new walnut lb and the hits were simply amazing.
My original lb has to be at least 3 years old, and the abuse, soaked from reverse flow of a handmade water tool,
combusted in too many times to count with just as many burn offs. All of that and being a daily driver , and the shit still works.
This new one really shows me how weak my poor old box was getting.
Don't get me wrong, great technique and the old box would hammer me. It's just a lot easier with this new one.
This is a first trench review , and I'm really medicated.

I've using my new MFLB concentrate trays to enjoy this rosin that I've been making. I'm new to oil, and the trays are working great! Tiny, powerful tools in combination with the box and PA. Milks up the Orbiter quick! And it's fun to watch the oil bubble up. :D Before, I had to content myself with @Quetzalcoatl's videos…

Just finished up a few prototypes of some cases for the MFLB made of oak. Just need to add some sliding dovetails. Thinking about doing the next run with zebrawood and walnut. What do you think? What are you using for cases?

The one on the left is more of a slim case. It'll hold your LB, stem, stash, and a few batteries also. But honestly isn't more of a protective case, it's just your everyday carrying case. The one on the right however is a lot more sturdy and can handle some dings and scratches, even so a bit of sanding will take care of that. Maybe a bit of tung oil to finish it off.

For those considering the MFLB, I've gone thru a few. I much preferred my Pax 1 to the MFLB. Pax had the balls to heat the flower. None of the MFLBs held up. Even with the after-market batteries, chargers, even the 12V AC adapter.

The Pax 2 is even better.

Pax also heats the load continuously. And bigger oven. And higher maintenance. My mflb's heat my flowers just fine.

The MFLB and Pax are very different beasts, in both price and function. While it may not come out on top portability-wise, the MFLB still provides instant heat and is great at conserving herb. And with the 'box, user technique plays a big part in how well it works.

It just doesn't work well for long. In my experience with 3 units.

Well, I like a new MFLB. It's an older unit that didn't impress me. The P2 seems to have solved much of the issues

Don't doubt it a bit. OTOH I don't think that's the typical owner's experience at all?

MFLB is frail and demands some caution. It's also modest in performance and makes a poor choice for those with higher tolerance I think. A very individual thing.

Given the low cost, and generally very high favorability ratings by new owners, I have no trouble recommending them (which is another way of saying mine is doing just fine....).
