Oh man i had a scare the last 24 hours. Completely disassembled herc and cleaned EVERYTHING for the first time in months. Like, this is only the 2nd time during my ownership of the device that this rod has been removed and torched clean. Got it sparkling shiny new, cleaned the titanium sponge quickly in boiling iso bath, everything back up and running. Loaded up what should have been enough shatter, and no vapor. After 18 hours of on again off again loading and whispy hits, there was over half in the reclaim chamber. Fucked around with smashing the screen around, pumped more into it, got a brand new lg he4 battery, and presto! Herc is running again! But damn, i feel like it took way over .5 to get the saturation going. I should have weighed it out, but there may be a gram and a half in the coil right now...

@THC SCIENTIFIC you mentioned a new company purchasing designs from UP tech. You also said you will manufacture for them? What's this about? Can we expect rebranded Hercules? Persei??

We have expanded our role in the industry, what this means is companies now have the ability to have us manufacture their items, handle their customer service, and shipping.

This does not mean you will see rebranded hercules or Persei's thats not going to be the case.

All our brand names will stay branded and if they wish to carry them they will follow MSRP's we have established.

This allows them to have one central location for research and development, and what we come up with will be given to all the companies who wish to stock it.

In other words Up Tech is going universal.

You will see our products across multiple sites with different prices and in combination of products from other manufacturers.

For anything thats not branded by us we cant control the price. So you will see differences in our prices vs theirs, but with us you are going to be paying for the phone support, as the other company has opted to not have phone support and email support that is currently lowest level possible.

So don't expect us hovering over their threads helping out as much as we are here.

Our first commitment is our customers.

In other works expect have your cake and eat it too.

Whats up Guys,

Ordered a Persei + Hercules Sr-74x + The Core yesterday!

I started doing some thinking, do i still need to buy 2 AW IMR batteries? :\

Thanks man!

Do they come in pairs? haha I'd be upset if i bought just one battery!
also, Do i need a special Charger for these?

I was just reading info on W9, don't want to mess anything up.

how would you check the voltage on the batteries after charge?
Not sure if this question is relevant to my situation. haha

Well if nimbus is taken how about HYPNO-TOAD? The Hermes might be good too given his jamaican background. Bender's 6th most uttered word - Pimpmobile. Fine choices all I say!
Or daffodil, if you wanted to go lower on the list :p

So... 510 thread available and operates at both 3.7v and 7.4, like the AC?

The coil can't take that much at one time I've noticed with my hercs if I overload the coils I get the inconsistent whisky hits your describing I ended up loading less and less until I felt happy with the performance

Yeah, it was just the first time ive ripped it apart and cleaned it completely in long time, breaking it back in was more of a pain in the ass than i remembered.

yea i used to do the same thing when i first got my 74 id throw .5 ontop of a coil id soaked in iso and torched a lil and id get bad performance i eventually learned to start small ill throw in .2 or .3 ontop of a recently cleaned coil and that seems to be enough im guessing that no matter how much you clean em your not getting them 100% clean so less buffer needed next time from there on i started loading .1-.2 per load and get amazing performance the nibbler xl also helped my draw technique so much i havent had a leak since

This may be a stupid question but I've always wondered why the air intake just dumps directly downward. Seems like it would be much less of an issue if they were to start from the bottom and run upward so the actual opening is just above the fill level, like a snorkel or a siphon. That way anything that does happen to run out of the chamber just gets drawn back in, instead of leaking?

Hello...I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with rebuilding the KISS carts..after an iso soak I clean the (dry) ceramic cup with a torch and the bottom falls out...I have about 6 broken cups, so I cannot rebuild the carts..I have a few left in service...Anyone know where I can locate and cups...I've looked around the net and have not found any...Thank you for any advise (except for "stop torching them you fuckin' idiot") I have already ceased the torch cleaning method
Gary..if you have a few lying around I would like to purchase them..

This is a great idea and I've thought about it numerous times in this manner (snorkel mode...) but to manufacture an L shaped or U shaped air shaft in such a tiny device to begin with is most likely very difficult/impossible to create at an appropriate price point. This is something I would really like to see though.

V shaped might be easier. 2 intersecting holes at an acute angle should be easier.

It would probably take a little bit of experimenting to get that to work but I bet it would, it might be a really strong "clog point" if the angle is too sharp

im gonna go out on a limb here and say if you add any type of tube to those airflow inlets it would be too small to flow properly the herc chambers would need to be increased in size dramatically to accomadate a channel big enough for both airflow and a wax return line i think it would end up causing much more clogs unless you only used very very runny oils plus it would take airflow out of the coil witch would increase heat retention and burn oil

edit: very possible im envisioning this wrong in my head please correct me if you meant somthign different
