seriously underrated party vape because it's so easy to pack a big load and pass around.

I have to disagree with you on the party vape thing. I've found that when in a group of 4 or more, that the crafty gets very warm with the constant rips being pulled from it, and it just doesn't last long enough for everyone to get good. I have to basically drain the entire battery from full to get everyone on a good level. By the time everyone wants to toke again the crafty is still charging up. The mighty might be up to the task of larger groups, but my experience shows that the crafty does best with one or two people, 3 people max.

I can barely read this thread without firing up a crafty bowl,
the enthusiasm here is contagious!

Still though, noone has explained how I might finally get the app. I can't fathom how the manufacturer of a VAPORIZER would not think that just maybe, many of their customers in non-legal jurisdictions would rather NOT let google know that they are using this app by downloading from the play store?!?!

Why can't they, like just about every other app developer on earth just include a legit current version android apk download with md5 on their official website?

It's called the Mighty, lol. I find I am constantly changing the temp up or down a few F to find the sweet spot from bowl to bowl, I think this would be a pia through an app. The more I thought about picking up a Crafty to keep my Mighty cozy at night the more I realized I would only miss my Mighty ever time I puffed the Crafty.

I know it doesn't help you out much but others are still deciding between these two...Go Mighty!

Hi Crafty owners! I quit smoking 2011. My first vape this time was the Extreme q. On the go I used the vapman. 2012 I bought the solo, which was then my favourite portable Vape. 2013 a Volcano came to my vape family and kicked the extreme q's Ass! I tried many other vaporizers from friends.
But since December I only use one vape: THE CRAFTY!!! I have got my second unit. First one was Serial number 52.. and had high temperature issues from the 70th hour on. My second unit is serial number 10... and today I am going to get 77 hours on it. I love this vape and it produces the in my opinion the best vapor ever! :brow:

welcome to the crafty family! its also always nice to see another volcano user.

In your opinion, how does the crafty compare to the volcano? and which do you find to be more efficient?

How would google know if you're going to be vaporizing anything illegal?
The app offers guidelines for vaping many different herbs that are legal everywhere.

Hi. I think the Volcano is a little more efficient but the Craft's got the stronger taste on his side...and it's portable! I think if you are in a group of people the Cano is not beatable. Alone or with a friend I would prefer my Crafty.

Instead of the liquid pad, I use a screen on top of EVERY bowl, full or half packed and it keeps my cooling unit a lot cleaner and they are cheaper (incase they get lost!) I use the 3/4 ones from my smoke shop @10 cents per screen:2c:
Thank you! I was wondering what size those screens were. I've been using the fine mesh replacement screens that come with the crafty. I do the same method, I find that the liquid pad is too thick and compresses the material too much for my tastes.

I agree with you. I too find the volcano to be more efficient. I'd say about a 20% difference in efficiency.
The volcano is a vapour producing powerhouse while the crafty is a charming, mobile, stealthy precision gadget.

My vibration alert has stopped workin 15hrs in, I've checked the app. anyone got any ideas?
Call S&B. I think there is a way to reset the device. What generation crafty do you have? My current model is 008XXX. I think the earlier generation ones have this issue. My first unit 001XXX would randomly not vibrate.

One thing I would recommend is to always remove the CU and blow out the screen right after use. It cleans very easily before it cools. Just a couple quick breaths and its spotless. If you wait till it cools it becomes very sticky to the screen and does not want to come off nearly as well.

I use the fine mesh screen and don't have issues with a clogged screen. I do clean my unit about every other week, including the screen. So maybe this is another reason I don't seem to have trouble in this area.

Again, not trying to talk anyone out of the LP. Nearly everyone seems to like it. I'm just leaving crumbs for the occasional user like myself that has a sensitivity to it.

I have 102 hours on my unit now, all used with out the LP. Just tamped. Just presenting reasonable options.

Don't get me wrong, everyone has a preference. My first few weeks with Crafty were all slightly tamped full bowls with no LP. The first time I used the LP, I was happy to see how clean the CU screen stayed, and there is very little debris on the inside, just pure oily resin :).

It's been said before, but I don't think there is a wrong way to use this vape, just great results every time.

Welcome Crafty Vaper. We have the same vape lineup. Crafty, Cano and vapman. Great minds think alike they always say. :) I also agree that when alone, the crafty is king and the Cano is unbeatable in groups.
Happy vaping!

I received my Crafty Vaporizer yesterday and all I can say is WOW! This is the first vaporizer that I have ever bought and I do not regret it one bit. Maybe battery issues in the future may make me think otherwise, however this little thing is a beast!

I have a couple questions in regards to using the Crafty.

1. Are we supposed to fill the bowl before heating the crafty up or can I fill the bowl while it's heating up?

2. If I finished a bowl and needed to refill it, do I need to turn the crafty off before I do so or can I leave it on and use the filling tool provided (I assume this would melt the plastic)?

3. How long does your bowl typically last for? It lasted me for about 5 minutes before the vapour started dying out.
