Bluetooth In vapes

This has been a big conversation topic with me and my vaping friends since I got a mighty And have been bringing it around. As we have discussed the differences between the mighty and the crafty a lot of them might laugh at the idea of Bluetooth in a vape or otherwise have reasons why they dislike it.

Others like the idea of Bluetooth in a vape but they tend to be less serious smokers and still have not really broken into the vape world. But a lot of my heavier smoker friends when seeing the 2 will prefer the mighty yet the crafty in terms of thread length is much more popular here.

Do you. Guys like Bluetooth in your vapes? Would you want to see it in more than the crafty?

Personally, I see absolutely no need for Bluetooth in a vaporizer. I would rather control the temperature on the device itself, not from my phone (I believe I understand correctly that this is the purpose for the Bluetooth? Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). Then again, I have never tried S&B products before, as I believe they are all overpriced. Just my :2c:, not trying to start any trouble here. (maybe someday I'll get to try someone's mighty or crafty and it'll "convert" me lol) But yeah, I firmly believe that keeping things as simple as possible is the best way to go.

Ain't it cool to have choices? at least S&B took into account that there are many people would like a stand alone unit so they made the Mighty (which looks mighty cool to me but way out of my price range) and gave an option for those who like to play with their phones and computers with the crafty.

For those of us like me who can barely keep their computer workin' and don't own a cell phone nevermind a smartphone with bluetooth the crafty isn't very attractive.

I know people who own all this new tech shit seem to believe everyone can afford it and have access to it but I gotta say in my little social group I'm the only one who even has internet service(thanks to the kindness of others).

I don't even really know what bluetooth is and does and can't see going without food or meds inorder to find out.

I don't even care for USB charging and try to avoid vapes that use it, so 'bluetooth' is a no go here.

But my 21 yr old nephew who has a new smartphone thinks the crafty looks fuckin' sweet and that having the app on their phone would be neat and useful.

To each their own ya know.

The road to innovation is bumpy indeed. I am all in favor of people trying new things, even if they don't work out in the end, it still fuels progress. I think the future will have even more device connectivity in all things, of course including vapes, what it will be used for exactly will still need sorting out.

You Must Unlearn, What You Have Learned...
I liked that when the app first came out anybody could control someone else's $400 vape with their phone/tablets. I read about this and they have since fixed, but there must have been some funny, early adopter times. When palm pilots first came out I was in HS and would control TV's and some lights/fans with an app and the faculty hadn't a clue!

vaping is such a healthy act adding unknown wireless electronic signals into the herb seems unnaturaly unhealthy. we get enough of those wireless vibes from all the phones, why add it to the vaping experience?

You and me both brother!
Almost forgot I had a palm pilot in HS, man...

This is what I like about fc, most people are very opinionated but we still have a good discussion and no flaming and that is what I like :)

I expected to see more pro Bluetooth in the thread though!

Yeah pocket calculators became available widely to the public in my jr yr of HS if you had a extra few hundred bucks and about all they did was add, subtract, multiply, and divide which we had already learned to do in our heads or on paper so they were still of little to no use.

Edit; Also not a single computer to be seen in our school system when I graduated HS in '77, Not even for office use.

I remember saving up paychecks for the pilot 1000. I think I got it instead of a beeper, lol, but this was beeper era.
Then again my HS years ended. When I was 15 turning 16 expelled out of county. WTFE. Selling a couple joints man they saved the world. Lol
Wow over 25 years ago.
Disgusting but everyone is going to need one of these....

I freakin' OWNED at Venture and Donkey Kong on my Coleco. I still have dents in my thumbs. But I was not cool.

I was almost sort of cool the year I got a Gameboy for Christmas. Castlevaina and Tetris all day and all night...till the battery died.

Welp, time to vape it up and play some D3 for PS4 on my picture-window sized flatscreen TV. Sometimes it is awesome when things evolve. Now, when my E-nano can trigger drones to fly my controller over from the charger, boot up my entertainment system and ask me "Would you like to play a game?" when I turn it on, that's something I'll be all over.

Well, I'm a transplant. I grew up in Rhode Island and video games were just icing on the dork-cake. I was a poor, nerdy, scrawny, bespectacled tomboy with a lisp. I was a retainer and a D&D book away from having packs of kids chasing me home every day, lol!
