I'm thinking about getting the Haze and want to use it with pipe tobacco. Does anyone have any experience with vaping tobacco? Taste, what setting, etc. thanks.
I personally do not have experience with pipe tobacco but Haze effectively vaporizes almost any content, all the way from wax/shatter oil, liquid to dry herb even pollen. So I am sure that you will be highly satisfied. You may want to reach out to Haze support and they may tell you the optimum temps for this.

I hadn't tried with my haze but have in the past with other vapes, so i got hunting and found some mellow virginia (pipe tobacco) and American spirit, it had been there a while so really dry but a little effort later i gave it a try.

At first i didn't hold out much hope as in the past i always used a lower temp than the Haze goes to, but to my surprise it was pretty nice, while there are other vapes out there better suited for tobacco the Haze does handle it well, just like everything else that has been tried in it:clap:

I used setting one and two IMO anything higher is just a waste (for tobacco use), and used a can and convection screen, both worked but i preferred the can, something else worth noting is how much more effect you feel from the nicotine.

Now for taste the pipe tobacco tasted better but i could not recommend using it, just because i don't know enough about any additives used that might have health concerns, in not saying don't use it just don't come looking for me if there are any:lol: Best to play it safe and use organic or grow your own. While taste will vary from one variety to the next and personal preference plays a part also i find it a much cleaner taste (hard to explain) and the added stealth of no visible vapor makes it a go anywhere device.

The more i use the Haze the more secrets it shares with me, its like a Swiss Army knife, you can carry it around in your pocket and it has so many uses, and did i mention it has a ten year warranty, thats ten years, I've never had the pleasure of having to deal with them but am confident that should the need arise after other members dealings it will indeed be a pleasure.

So i would say if your just going to be using tobacco then there may be better options out there, but if you want a bit of variety in your life :science: then the Haze is a good way to go:tup:

Oh and welcome to FC

Thanks for your help. I'm used to using eliquids with nicotine but haven't had the satisfied feeling that you get from smoking a cigarette. I've read that this is because of the other alkaloids in leaf tobacco that aren't in eliquids.

Sorry Mods if i go a little off-topic:bowdown:Dont hurt me too much:rip:

Remember its the nicotine that your body craves the rest is just stuff that your body has grown used to, while vaporising tobacco will give more/better nicotine satisfaction and a more smoky taste than e-liquid it still wont give off everything combustion does, although this isn't a bad thing.

As far as e-cigs the one you use can make a massive difference as well, for me i tried lots of the cheaper ones you find all over but had no luck, it wasn't until i invested in some of the higher end ones that i started seeing the difference, also trying to find a liquid that was similar to what i smoked was the wrong way to go for me, when i got a bit more adventurous with flavours (found a really nice milk & honey mmm love honey) thats when the taste was so nice it made real cigarettes taste like :shit: and they lost that satisfaction.

In the UK we have e-cig/liquid shops where you can try before you buy, could be worth asking to have a play to see if its maybe the liquid or e-cig thats not helping, good news is there are lots of good cheaper options now something like the Aspire nautilus or KangerTech Aero range is a good quality tank/atomizer, and battery doesn't really matter as much but the Eleaf Istick is a good cheap vv/vw option, i posted on previous page about e-liquid mixture/ratio if its throat hit or visible vapor your after, just something to think about.

I'm not trying to put you off the Haze its a great vape, and it worked great for me with tobacco today but my satisfied feeling might be different to yours (looking for different things) but i did get a really good nicotine hit and a nice clean smoky taste not the dirty smoky taste i used to like.

Wishing you luck and fuckcombustion:p

for those who use E-liquid just curious how y'all go about it... 1 wick in the can?2? and how often you swap them out. Every session? every other?

I usually use one pad in the can. I have quite a number of cans in my possession so I usually do not mix them up. I have two flavors of e-liquid and they have their dedicated cans. I change the pads once a month or so. They are quite durable.

Your a funny guy xD I chuckled for an extensive amount of time.

Now that you addressed it though, would you say something like the pax would be suitable since its price dropped down? Do you have a back up? what squad are you rolling with and perhaps enlighten me as to why you made that decision? :)

I do have a back up sir. I have myself another matching stealth Black Haze. As to why I made the decision ...... for it's dependability, versatility, and ease of use. Those are just some of the many things I enjoy and appreciate about my Haze.

If anyone has I do not think they have shared the experience in the thread as of yet. I have however been experimenting with using my Haze for vaporizing other natural herbs such as hops, skullcap and the likes. I have not got it all down yet but so far it has been an enjoyable experience.

I will expand on what i left out (to avoid over info/complicating things) of my last e-liquid post...

I don't use the Haze wicks (just my personal preference) i make my own using either Muji or Koh Gen Do organic pure cotton, for me the taste and performance is more to my liking. You could get almost the same results using organic cotton wool pads from a local chemist/pharmacy and for the price of a few of the Haze wicks you can get a pack of 60 pads and i could make about 150-200 wicks from one pad:o Which means i can replace them as often as i want without much cost, i usually wait till they start to loose shape too much or just look nasty, the kind of liquid you use can also play a part.

I also make mine smaller than the Haze wicks, mine are about 1/4 or 1/3 of the size and i only use a few drops of juice at a time, a little goes a long way.

I wondered about using two Haze pads when mine first arrived (think this is just how they are shipped) but i think it would be too easy to get juice in your mouth as the liquid would be closer to the air holes so never tried.

Draw strength will also play a part as the Haze uses an oven (kind of) to heat the liquid compared to an e-cig which uses a coil, the coil heats less liquid at once and you have control with a button over how long you choose to heat for, so easier to control. With my smaller wicks and less liquid i find a good strong pull, not enough that you look like you have issues :mental: but quite strong/fast works best.

So thats how i do it, it wont be for everyone but thats just life, for me it works:brow:

I just bought the wood mouthpiece. It tastes great with liquids. Also, I am amazed how gentle the vapor is with the convection screens. Next process is going to be with the F-Bomb. I am so glad that I read this thread.

mine is in the mail lol hopefully will have it tomorrow

also, so far enjoying my Haze... I don't use it all too much (never really smoked all that much in the first place and probably could have dealt with a much cheaper starter but w.e) but when I do it is a lovely experience.

I love my haze.

I had some wax/dabs in it last night. I was vaping all good etc etc.

I woke up to what you see in the picture.

I sent an e-mail out to haze, they told me to send it back and they will see if it gets a replacement or fix it.

Looks like you just lost your oven door caps. They snap on pretty easy.

Do you still have that piece?

If that is all that is wrong you might just have them send that piece to you rather then send in your whole unit and be without it.

Good luck!

Mine fall out every session lol. for me its because i keep the stainless steel lids to dirty. My v1 never had that problem because of the silicon lids. If you keep those stainless steel things clean, you should be fine. but they do in fact snap back in.

Okay, thanks guys. I will snap it back when I get back home, I am just a little disappointed that that happened.

I think it's made to break away easy because it gets gunked up and sticky depending on your cleaning routine. If it stuck on their hard you might have problems getting your oven door open without breaking it.

So Haze thread, a really good buddy sent me about 3ft of whip among other goodies, and I got to work right way.
I attached the 3ft of whip to a bubbler that I have that has a 14mm removable mouth peice option. The inside diameter of the tubing was perfect to fit over it and now I have taken my Haze to whole new level. I dont have to take long draws to get those big rips. I made a vid for my fellow Hazers and Hazettes. This video displays just how powerful this portable truly is, Enjoy!

Guys for maintenance I recommend using a paint brush. Cleans everything up nicely. The oven caps after just being used brush clean in a second.

Also, the tweezer is an awesome tool. I used the opposite end to pack and also to slide out the screens. Not sure if anyone else does this but it makes it easy to get the screens out without getting bud into any of the holes.
