The replacement drop-down from New-Vape has arrived! The reclaim bucket is twice as long with 2 flat notches that are easy to grab between your fingers or unscrew with a flat wrench. If you screw it in all the way, the threads block half the airpath like before but you can screw it on loosely so that the airpath is clear and the reclaim should slide down into the bucket. On the downtube they cut a pair of flat notches in the middle to use with a flat wrench if needed. I'm pretty sure these changes will fix the issue, I'll know for sure in a week or so when I take it apart for cleaning.

Maybe it would just take some holes drilled through the top of the UFO to turn it into a domeless like nail top

I also want to see if I can stick a domeless nail in the top of the attomizer and heat it all up and get a sub hit with no electricity. I've seen video of Enrico using the sub with the UFO and it didn't seem too great but he also don't care too mch either sometimes.

What Im envisioning is using a Happy Daddy Genesis nail as the top.. and the reason I keep coming back to that nail is because of how it screws together. Its the easiest to make this work with.

See what I mean? We can screw the adapter off, make a new piece that looks almost exactly like the UFO that screws on to the bottom. The coil goes in between the sublimination chamber and the heat sink, like so.

We'd screw off the bottom where the heatsink is, screw our adapter on, drop it into a Sub atomizer and that should be that.

I wonder in male configuration how far that piece drops into an atomizer before it mates or if its not big enough at all.

We've been enjoying vaping flower through our enail and finishing it up with a dab at the end. Mrs P refers to it as Double Dunking.

I ended up going to a ridiculously simple setup. Herb is vaping very evenly, I dont see any burnt spots. You can usually get about 2 good hits out of our current setup and then the weed is done.

I am more convinced than ever that what I talked about above is completely do-able and would work great, especially with my makeshift setup. Thick clouds, great flavor and a dab at the end.

Doesnt get much better than that.

All this is definately pushing me towards getting the Dry Herb Nail. All of this testing has definately proven the concept. I need a spare setup for my Errlectric anyway. I don't want to be left [not] high and dry if my coil fails.

Thing is tho, you probably dont need it.

Im using a regular old nail and a simple adapter I happened to have on hand. Theres really nothing to it.

The Errlectric setup is cool but I bet it doesnt work any better than my DIY setup. I really want to pursue making a Subliminator atomizer work with this setup but in the meantime, Im going to get @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd to make me an adapter, Im just thinking about what I want to do with it and how I can simply create turbulence without making him do anything crazy.

No globe or nail though... I put the top of an ELB into the top of the male joint on top, put the nail on top of that and go to town. Filling up the top of an ELB gives you about 2 good hits and then the weed is evenly roasted.

EDIT - We're killing it again tonight. I have a pretty cool adapter in mind that Im going to sketch out tomorrow for @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd ... easy to load and should provide great turbulence in the bowl. I may buy a few adapters and let Mrs P have her hand at making one too.... shes not quite at that skill level but I think she would enjoy trying.

I can't wait to try this. @PoopMachine are you able to time the vape/dab thing? I was thinking a nice slow draw to about 1/3 of my lung capacity on the herb, then drop the dab for the remaining 2/3 lung power.

Sweet I'm glad to hear the ELBs are working!

Have you tried to put any concentrate on top of the herb in the elb? I wonder if that would melt and coat the herb and give you more than 2 hits?

I do this on my Solo and instead of the herb lasting one 10 minute session at setting 4-5, it lasts two 10 minutes sessions where I start at 4 which melts the wax and then I bump it up to 5 after 5 minutes of the first session and then start the second session at 5 and halfway through the second session I bump it up to 6. I couldn't believe the clouds I was getting out of the Solo with this method. It seemed to vaporize most of the concentrate along with all the herb too :tup:

Or are these 2 hits massive knockouts and that's all you need?

Can't wait to try it when I get mine from @Cannabis Connoisseur :D

Well, what Ive been doing since I eliminated about 2 inches out of the glass path is hitting the first time dab free and then the second time dabbing about halfway through. Im amazed at the consistency of vaporization. I havent found any dark pieces in my AVB and Ive examined pretty much every piece thats come out of the ELBs just for my own curiosity.

Ive sketched out an adapter that I think will be the deal for this with a regular female enail. I dont think the males for as well because they put the heat too close to the weed. Im going to send it to @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd tomorrow. Its really simple.. a couple of joints with screens on each side. You can suspend the weed in the middle. It will make emptying and reloading a breeze.

I have an idea for a different type of e-nail than anything I have seen yet out there (not saying better, just different). I just did some testing of the concept and it seems to work well. I have put in a order to have a custom top made so hopefully I will have something to show soon.

What sized keck do you need? Maybe use a piece of wire to tie it on there. I have Kanthal and nichrome wire for my KISS rebuilds that I use for other things as well. Stuff is cheap.

I just sent @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd a sketch on an adapter that Im pretty sure will accomplish the same thing with a regular nail.

If the Errlectric piece was a little more reasonably priced, Id just buy one but its a little rich for my blood at $299.00.

I still want to find someone to machine me a TI bottom. @Joel W. , who did you talk to about having a piece made? Maybe I could get them to make me a bottom.

Im working on a glass adapter that should turn any female enail into a flower vape. Ive PM'd @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd with a picture and Ive also reached out to another glass blower so hopefully Ill have something to try soon.

Im also going to bring up my wacky ideas to The Terpz guys. They have a machinist that can maybe make some of my mad science experiments come to life. Ive done similar things in my last profession.. made crazy things that people were like "WTF" and then 10 years later someone else did it and by that time technology had caught up and people were all like "OOoooOOooOOOhhhhhhhhhhh"
