all, just noticed... V2 is having a 25% store wide sale today. This also applies for series 3 and series 7. I just got a new series 7... eagerly waiting for its arrival. Woo hoo!!

great news, I had been thinking of ordering one , and this made it easy to pull the trigger.

I was being asked about my initial Series 7 thoughts on Reddit before the sale ended. Here is the post:

Ok, I finished the burn-offs, and I finished my first bowl. I started on Temp1 (390f) and finished on temp2 (415f) I didn't even need to try temp3 (440f)

* It has a medium draw resistance, slightly less than the Solo/Air and much less than the V2 Series 3.

* The LED's are really bright, they look nice, but they are definitely not discreet if its dark.

* The AVB is really even.

* The mouthpiece is quite large, about double the size of the Pax.

I don't like to judge a vape even remotely this early, but since the sale is ending very soon, I will give you my super rough initial impressions, I would say I like it a bit less than the Pax and the Alfa which both come in at $200, however I like it more than the Series 3, and the Vapium Summit, Imag+, and the Flowermate.

  • I do not know how it will perform in the long run, or how cleaning will be (it looks reasonably easy to clean)

  • For someone who already has a Pax or Alfa, this won't be an upgrade unless you want the ability to use wax or e-liquid.

  • For someone who has the other conduction vapes mentioned, this would be an upgrade, especially if you wanted to use wax/e-liquids.

Thanks for the review! Currently, I have the ability to get pretty much anything under $200. I am pretty into the minimal style and the technology behind my vapes, which is why something as sleek as the S7 or the Pax is attractive to me. I could get a Pax, but I have really wanted a 3-in-1 device for a while now so I think if I buy it just because its a Pax I would end up disappointed. Since I'm kind of a lightweight and vapor quality is not a huge issue, I think I'm gonna go with the S7.

Anyways, any estimate for when a video review will be up? Can't wait to see it!

If you want a 3-in-1 I definitely think this is probably the best option in your price range (The wax cart is not out, and I am not an avid e-liquid user, so me liking it with e-liquid does not hold much authority lol).

I won't be getting to this video for a bit unfortunately. I will be putting the finishing touches on the Crafty one (its 90% done) and then working on the haze/grasshopper/pax2 then I will be doing this one and the mighty. I should be able to get a review article up after about a week more of testing though.

They decided it wasn't different enough to deserve it's own series number . It will still come out , as per schedule , but it will be called the 7EX , or the 7 plus .

It says when you order that it will ship March 31st. It's just a preorder right now, and a few units got shipped out earlier.

I ordered one during the last sale , its being delivered today. Happy days in the neighborhood today.

Steampuffer,
Hello, I have my new Series 7 and I am loving it!

I too have been placing a screen on top of the Loose Leaf to help prevent air hole clogging.

I have a question, though...

Can anyone tell me which Cart I would use for
Medical Marijuana CO2 Oil?
Would I use the Liquid or the Wax Cart?
Thanks so much!

New video review just popped up for the S7-

Looks like solid build quality just like the S3, but honestly seems like the mouthpiece couldve been done better. Voltage settings also seem nice, but again think the rotation system couldve been done better rather than having to wait for them to cycle. Definitely seems like more of a session vape than a quick and discreet type

I received the series 7 yesterday. I've used it twice and I think that I am going to enjoy it.
I have one concern and I wanted to see if anyone else shared the same concern. There's a screen inside that is loose. It falls out when you empty the chamber. Is this screen needed? There's a small hole underneath where the screen would go.

The kit comes with replacement screens. It is not needed but helps keep the cartridge clean. Hope this helps.

Per my conversation with customer service, the screen is also used to avoid any air channel blockage (may be caused by small tobacco leaves, fragments or extracts from baking the leaves….).

ok. thanks. that is what i was thinking too about blocking the air channel.
that hole in the chamber is very small though.

Is there anyway we could request this be put in the main vapes section instead of the e-cig section? The V2 Pro really isn't in the same category as G-Pen style vapes, and I think it would help get a lot more visibility and activity in this thread.

On a more related note, here are some videos that have popped up from the last few days:

the above review is pretty good. i'm really enjoying using the series 7.
i am not experiencing the same issue the reviewer mentions with the mouthpiece. the mouthpiece on my series 7 has a snug fit. it's not loose.

I got my series 7 last week.

I find the mouthpiece fine, it is a nice fit and does not fall out. The leaf one is the only one I have tried so far..

The unit does turn on while in my pocket, it has done it twice! Both times I smelled some weed brewing up and removed it to find it was cooking away so I am not thinking about this as something to carry around.

The taste seems a little weird too, but this is my first non combustion device so with nothing to compare it to, it might just be how weed tastes when heated instead of burned. I am in WA so it is all legal but I cant try different toys in the stores as they are not allowed to consume or open any packages ...

Over all I am happy with it, but find the 3 clicks and mucking around with the single button just a little dumb and could be handled so much better.

I would add bright lights on the series 7 are just childish and make they unit look clownish. What grown man wants flashing lights along with brightly lit button and indicator and a big bright green ring of light the entire time you are smoking.
what happened to discretion..

I have a friend who is an e-cig user. I gave him my Series 3 to use for a few days when it came out with e-liquid, and he gave it back after an hour, saying he really didn't care for it. Well the Series 7 he kept, and he actually really liked it.

I agree, so I've split the threads. Some posts could belong to either thread, but in those cases I decided to keep them with the series 7.

My thoughts on the series 7 are it works well but the temps are too high being 390-415-440.
I have only used the E-liquid cart which works very well, and the dry herb cart.
I did notice the harder you pack it the better it works and you don't need to pack it full as long as its tight.
The replaceable carts are nice but the temps are a killer for me.
I only used it at 390F which is close to my limit.
I usually start vaping at 340F on the Craft/Mighty and 350F or 356F (180C) on other devices.
IMO you can taste the mouthpiece a little bit (like the pax) but I do like the series 7 MP more than the rubber series 3 which has come off in my pocket many times.
The chamber of the 7 is almost 3 times the size of the series 3.
It works well, taste is average, vapor is good. It is a bit large and heavy and takes forever to charge back up.
Too bad the wax carts aren't out yet, that's really why I bought this unit.

Anyway, here is a usage video for you guys to check out. :peace:

(at 5:25 I say it's a convection vape, I meant it has convection properties by allowing fresh air in the sides and through the bottom. My bad. I was pretty vaped at the time:shrug:)

If you rapidly click the button three times, the unit will lock. And to unlock, just click it three times again.

Also, V2 is working on next generation versions of Series 3 and Series 7. Both next-gen versions will include a stealth mode, so you can turn off all of the lights.

Now that the series 7 concentrate carts have been out, I've been looking for reviews on it but can't really find any. Can anyone provide feedback on the concentrate carts, as well as how well the unit is holding up?

Kind of interesting that a unit which seems to have so much promise has such a limited nbr of posts.

Hi, I received a Quickdraw500dLX from another member here, maybe I'll keep it but I think it will be a gift for a friend who uses e-liquid.

I tried it and I wasn't able to change the t° setting...how to do it, please?

The user guide wasn't included.
