@Enchantre wow! That's some serious mileage for a first ride of the season. I'm going to get our tricycles tuned up so we can get back on the trails.

I'm doing the exact same thing: dissecting a freebie pre-roll. It's a good way to judge a dispensary. This Silver Haze is nice.

My sweet wife surprised me with this really awesome petrified wood sesh dish from the gem and mineral show we went to this weekend. She saw me admiring it, and surprised me by taking me back the next day to get it. She's so awesome.

I've seen several of these petrified wood over the years, but they all came from the various petrified forest monuments or state parks a couple generations ago when most people smoked and it was OK to remove the fossilized rock from the protected lands and sell it in the gift shop. So all of them have carved slots to hold cigarettes and are less attractive to me because of it. So when I saw this one that was just a little shallow bowl, I really wanted to add it to my vaping station. It's the perfect size to hold a half gram of ground flowers, which is as much as I ever have ready to cape at any one time.

Ah, it wasn't the first ride... we hit the trail last weekend, too. However, it was awful with the rain, and the fibro... my CMP (chronic myofascia pain) kicked in for the second half of the ride... yup, all the way home (to the car). Fortunately, we pick trailheads that are a downhill glide back.

I'm not that sore from the ride. It was, basically, just a fibro flare... and, that could have been the Thai food on Friday. Have figured out that just cutting gluten & dairy isn't catching everything that causes leaky gut issues. I'm now ridding myself of nightshades & NSAIDS. well, I rarely use NSAIDS, but now it will be 'never'. Hot flashes all night, BP is really elevated, and every fucking joint in my body is tender-painful.

Tons of stress over the weekend, too. House shit.

Today I'm just trying to keep it all from flaring at once.

@Enchantre. I get it. NSAIDs cannot be tolerated here either. It's one of the main reasons I turned to mmj.

I love the rail trail near me because it is about a constant 1/2 percent grade uphill from the trailhead. No matter how far I go, I know I can pretty much coast home.

Oh, and there is a coffee stand at the turn around hat makes mango smoothies. It was a big deal to me last summer when I was eventually able to ride far enough to get that treat.

I just woke up after a 2 hour nap. That makes 5 hours sleep. Actually good for me.

Now it's time for me to put on my green jeans and get to work. Blackberry Kush on a rainy day.

But I like it!
I spent 9 months sick, including 6 days in ER, and in the end they said 'it's likely related to the NSAIDs or the codeine. Stop them all and see how it goes'. This was last summer, when I got my mm scrip bumped to 3.5g/day. No NSAIDS, no codeine, just mm, and Nabilone as required. Nowadays I'm not quite as flexible, but certainly not as foggy...

@farscaper That fish pic really turns me on. But it's more because I am so very curious as to what it might be like to have a close relationship with a fish. Maybe not that close, and probably not naked close, but, well, maybe I shouldn't have typed any of this.

Anyway @killick you have inspired me to do something I've been considering for a while. And that is to cut back on the narcotics, mainly because I just don't feel that the tylenol included in those pills is all that good for me over the long term. I'm now taking just my extended release tramadol and the Norco only as necessary for breakthrough pain. That has dropped my narcotic tolerance down and I seem to be getting the same benefit or perhaps even better from those pills by using less of them. I can't say that I'm suffering less, but I'm not suffering any more than I was when I was taking more pills.

Each and every day I am thankful for my wife who moved us all the way to Washington from Alabama. Although my health is not what it was in the past, my quality of life has greatly improved, and it is due to the fact that I live in a much healthier place where I am able to safely care for myself.

Since moving here, I've lost 50 pounds that I really needed to lose. I was always the skinniest guy anybody knew until I began to have more serious issues with my spine some years back. Now I'm at the same weight I was in college, and although I am now a bit thin, I know that every pound I don't have to carry with me is a pound that isn't putting pressure on my weak spine. And I didn't even do anything extreme to lose the weight except to make some small changes like replacing diet sodas with whole milk, tea sweetened with honey, or fruit juices, or making better snack choices like fruit instead of cookies. Really, not a bit of self control for my sweet tooth, and I still eat ice cream because there is no real substitute for ice cream.

But I really don't think any of these positive changes in my life could have happened if I still lived in Alabama. Without access to high CBD MMJ (and my beloved THC), I would be taking lots more stronger narcotics, would be much less active as a result, and my health and quality of life would be so much less.

Anyway, back to the more important subject. . . . . I'm quite nicely early morning vaped with an E-Nano GonG full of a special CBD blend shatter my friends at the dispensary had produced for me and a couple other patients. It's blended with a vintage Master Kush strain that really kicks in the pain relief. Great potent indica blend with a CBD kick before I switch to just CBD for the daytime.

@ChippyMalone Before I went the MM route I had a long discussion with my wife. I was planning on trying MM to at least 1/2 my medication, and I would call that success. Then the hospitalization occurred, and the allergic reaction to either NSAID or codeine happened. So now I am happily free of both. I'll never run again, and I really need to pace myself to avoid flareups, but I can deal with those things.

Oddly enough I've been F'ing Combustion even more, by using way more tinctures lately. I can dose my tea or coffee first thing in the morning, and then vape or eat high-test choccies for breakthrough pain. Yesterdays batch of 60g nice bud to 4 cups of EC is now evaped to 3 cups, and will get bottled when it hits 2 cups.

And another wierd bit of news - I was asked by my MM provider if I would be a guest on a radio show about veterans using medical marijuana, scheduled for earlier this morning (request was a few days ago). It was anonymous, which I thought was good, until they started the interview introducing me by name. Now I'm a radio superstar for medical marijuana! At least amongst the lunchtime talk radio listeners in a small town 3 time zones East of here...

@killick I'm chuckling about your being outed as a MMJ patient on the radio. I'm glad you are ok with it. The funny thing is that the only people I really don't care to talk about MMJ with are a tiny handful of friends/family/acquaintences who I just don't feel I have to justify myself to. But to everyone else, I'm a crusader for MMJ rights.

I'm just imagining the interview. . ..

"So, Mr. killick who lives at 420 Green Cloud Lane, how long have you been the kingpin of Okanagan's "medical" marijuana cartel?"

Well, I'm taking a break from household chores to sit in my awesome zero gravity beach chair. My wife bought couches that cost more than quite a few cars I have owned, and I sit here in love with my $52 beach chair! Most comfortable thing I've ever had, and especially since my spinal fusion surgery. I'm hoping to figure out a way to cheaply get or build a hammock stand and try that out next.

I was going to vape some of this nice Girl Scout Cookies flowers, but the GonG has a cottonball of a nice CBD Blended shatter that is still giving off really nice clouds even though I packed it last night before bed and vaped it a good while this morning too. I was going to go to the dispensary, but decided that I can go at least another day and if I wait until Friday, there are always better specials going on.

Edit: since I'm the only one here, I just had to add this. While researching butane torch lighters, I came across this wonderfully poetic and adorable "Engrish" description of a lighter.

"The fire that you choose to benefit you in your daily motion is essential. Fire, like the funding that is spent fueling it, is not to be played with. Although other lighters may seem to generate similar effects, they are simply not as functional, as efficient, or as elegant."

Sounds like a pretty freaking sweet lighter, don't ya think?

Really, FC???? Nobody but Chippy Malone has gotten vaped enough to bump this thread in 26 hours???

You people are killing me! I've been sitting here all evening swimming around the house after being completely delighted with my successful full melt iso-hash I made today from a few grams of old gifted outdoor Bubba Kush. I haven't done anything like this in quite a while, but when I discovered a cheap and easy source for USP 99% Isopropyl that I can buy right off the shelf instead of a chemical supplier, I had to give it a shot.

I loaded up my Vapman with two nice boogers from this shiny dark amber ball of hard oil and vaped it for quite some time. Eventually, it had a funny taste, and I opened it up hesitantly, fully expecting to find a gummy meltdown of crusty resin that would take a long time to clean up.

Imagine my shock and delight when the three concentrate screens fell right out looking almost as clean as before. The only way you could tell that they have been used is that they have a very fine oily sheen to the surface that is somewhere between slick oily and sticky but not sticky. So whatever I made is definitely full melt!

I'm sure glad I paid attention in Chemistry class.. . . .

Sorry man, I've been wanting to bump this thread, but I've been on a t-break that coincides with trying to figure out some weird health problems... So no vaping here lately. I went to the Dr yesterday and had some tests done to try and figure things out, he's thinking I might have hyperthyroidism... I'll find out Monday, when my results come back. And hopefully I'll be bumping this thread soon after that

I had a really fun day. I woke up early and went out to visit my new community garden plots. I really lucked out because someone with truly the most cherry plots didn't renew their plots, allowing me to take them over with the right to renew them for as many years as I want to. The parking area is only about 15 feet from my plots and I also have the water faucets adjacent to my plots. Normally, this would just be nice and convenient, but it is going to really save me a lot of effort I do not need to waste hauling stuff long distances in the large community garden. So I am grateful that I have the opportunity to farm these plots and see if I can't feed my family some really great food this year. My plan this spring is to use this garden and my tricycle for physical therapy over the spring and summer.

Also, I had my first jewelry making class today. It was really fun. I just learned to do a few simple things like use a jeweler's saw to cut a shape out of sheet metal and press a texture into it with a roller press. I've been wanting to learn a new skill and am really looking forward to when I can do some of the really neat stuff I'm imagining.

So after that long day, I'm home relaxing with my E-nano after receiving a lovely package from @ACE OF VAPE with a few new replacement stems and such. I can't believe I lived this long without the official E-Nano stand. I've used it for two hours and am just kicking myself for not getting this sooner!

Blackberry
kush and a Hazelnut Melt chocolate bonbon made with BHO and about 40mg THC.

From what I read above, lots of you have had very interesting days. I'd comment on all of them and I know I really should, but I am honestly well past my medical requirements and well into recreational territory tonight. Maybe tomorrow. . . . when I'm vaped but not this vaped.

Good night FC!
