At least this is my experience.

Some crazy guys here are cooking the herbs for 1 minute on 210'C, then they go for a large lung hit to kill the bowl with a few single hits. You might try that, too. I tried it once only...

Did you get the replacement charger already? Don't worry to much about not having loaded the batteries before using the device...

Nah your ok Michel haha, I nearly killed myself last night taking lung hits off 190 temperature but got the hang of it eventually. I quite like the difference between the two Pax and Mighty, a good combination of vapes to own I'm thinking

No I've not received the replacement charger yet but I've just had an email saying it will be delivered in the next 3 hours so happy days

Any recommendations on how long the initial charge should be? I just received my unit, plugged it in, and the battery seems to be fully charged out of the box. The battery indicator flashed a couple times then went full.

Should I leave it plugged in for an hour or so before disconnecting it, or is it ready to go?

Enjoy your mighty! Or read the manual :D When it's fully charged you are good to go! Both of mine were nearly full, too. Let us know how it performs.

Edited to clarify weird texting

Sending my mom's Mighty back for repair. The power button no longer functions, and you can hear a rattle inside the unit where the it seems the button has snapped off. It charges, but hitting the power button no longer does anything. Last time it was used, had to just wait for the auto shut off to turn the unit off (it broke after turning on).

The fact your MOM has a mighty is fucking dope.

Has anyone else used a screen for a spacer instead of the oil pad? I have been doing it since yesterday and it seems to work well AND it has the added bonus of keeping the cooling unit cleaner if put over every bowl. I hope it's not 'BAD' for the unit

Ha, now I just need to get her to make the FULL switch to vaping! She's been a joint smoker for 40+ years, and those habits are hard to break. When I'm around, she's all about vaping (I curate the Volcano and Mighty), but she tends to fall back to joints when I'm not around.

If it was me, I wouldn't let the auto timer shut my unit off at all anymore! Would constantly keep pushing up and down buttons and scream loud: Nooooo! Noooo! But I think your mom is surely less addicted than me...

I normally am a habitual/ritual joint smoker too (I still have my RAW box with an assortment of papers) but the mighty has almost done it for me, I have only rolled one joint since I've had it and that was to accommodate others that didn't end up smoking it, because they got ripped off the mighty! Your persistence should pay off

So the oring that goes on the piece below the Mighty logo on the mouthpiece has been getting cut. I find this out when I decide to clean.

Curious to see if anyone knows of a cheaper alternative for the Mighty seal ring set. Don't feel like paying $8 + $8 for shipping for a few orings. The others are still good...just that mighty logo flap keeps cutting that darn oil ring.

I want to try and look in Homedepot but I tend to get into a wild goose chase in there.

Make sure the o-ring sits well before reassembling. If you buy at home depot what i wouldn't do, make sure they are heat resistant. Or get simply a wear and tear seat or a pack of 3 CU directly before you will harm your lungs to economize a few bucks.

I'm genuinely impressed with this device. I have to resist the temptation to keep filling up bowls and hitting them for a more 'thorough testing' of my new toy.

Mine had a plastic smell to it when I heated the empty bowl for the first time, so before loading it I ran a 20 min burn-off (occasionally mouth-pumping the mouthpiece without inhaling to speed up the process). It didn't take too long for the plastic smell to clear, so once it had, I loaded my first bowl. I used the filler tool and a light packing of finely ground erbs, then a screen on top of the load.

I started at 180C. The first couple hits were long 10 second lung hits, and the flavor was intense. It produced huge clouds, but with the second or third huge lung hit I started to cough. It couldn't have been the temperature (which was still relatively low), so I figured it was the way I was hitting it. After a little tinkering with my technique, I settled on 4-second gentle lung hits.

After a few lungfuls, I bumped up the temp to 190C, then to 200C. No throat irritation, even at 210C, but I do take a sip of water every few hits. I lost count of the number of draws I got from a full bowl before there was no more visible vapor at the highest temp. At least 15. The flavor does diminish as I rose through the temps, but the clouds kept coming. The ABV was evenly dark brown.

The effects aren't as 'sudden' as when I combust, so it kind of crept up on me. It took about 5 minutes from the end of my session for me to realise how melted I was. Once it hit me, it hit like a haymaker.

More testing is needed. It's been about half an hour, I think I'm ready to go again. Oh, Mighty! Where have you been all my life?

Glad your enjoying it JJ I've only tested mine once yesterday and I'm waiting to get in from work tonight to have another go, then roll on the Mighty weekend
Do you feel same as I did that sipping on it doesn't really work and you have to take lung hits on it??

Yeah, I tried the sipping/mouth-pumping technique (while I was trying to figure out how to isolate the coughing trigger) but it didn't work for me. Very little vapor was being pulled through even after several sips before sucking it into my lungs.

The 3-4 second gentle lung-pull yielded the best results for me, in terms of flavor, acceptable cloud production, and no throat irritation or lame coughing fits (which I really, really don't enjoy). I quickly realised that if I felt a throat scratch while I was still filling my lungs, I would almost certainly be coughing after I exhaled the lungful of vapor. So I cut down the length and intensity of my lung-pull until I found the right balance for me.

I'm a 'session' kind of guy, so this way helped me recreate the ritual of enjoying a joint over a 10 minute period. I let the Mighty auto-shutoff a couple of times during the session for 30 seconds or so, as I would put a joint down every now and then.

Great stuff JJ thanks for the helpful info, thought that was the best way but I'm very new to this vaping and wanted some other experience, I've had the Pax two weeks and I find sipping on that better than lung hits but with the Mighty definitely lung hits all the way!
Well happy with my two purchases I feel like I've got a joint replacement in the Pax and a bong replacement in the Mighty. Enjoy your session sir

Any time, Hombre.

Have fun tinkering with it until you find the draw technique which works best for you.

I'm new to vaping too, but I'm fairly desperate to kick my combustion habit. I had a MFLB a couple years ago, but I didn't last until lunch with it before I was back on the zigzags, smoking away.

The Mighty seems a different animal. Let us know how you get on.

If your new to the mighty, you might want to try half bowls. I use an extra screen cut part way to hold the weed in the bowl. It's a tip I picked up here and works well on partial loads. That is how I load most of my bowls in my mighty.

That more closely replaces taking a hit off a joint every now and then. It's still a mini session in a way, but it can be more manageable if you have things to do. 6-8 hits and your done, quick and easy. When you dump the abv, you'll be amazed at just how little herb there was compared to the buzz.

What's kinda interesting and a bit contradictory is in the bullet points on the Mighty, S&B states, "Full Convection Hot Air" but then further down in the copy, they state, "vaporization functions on the basis of a full hot air convection heating combined with conduction."
They consider it convection/conduction when you have a combination of rising air that's flows in from under the bowl, but also the bowl itself is heated, at least on the solo. It's probably the same on this. Where is the best place to buy this in the USA? Thx.

BoilingTrichs :D,
Oops, messed up something lol.

I heard the vapor is pretty instant on this Mighty. It's annoying to always have to draw from my Solo until the vapor starts, then blow out, and have to inhale again to get a full vapor rip...then after two good ones (blood artery rush of thc delivery to the head), you turn it to 4 till no more vapor comes out at that temp. I already am ordering one of these, I just don't know who to order from in the US. IM SO PUMPED. :D The only problem is finding the place to buy it from. Also, I need two solo loads to be full. How big is this bowl compared to it?

Hi Mon. I also got mine in November, heavy use every day since. Only one chip off the top, and mine heats up on dead battery also my vibration and stuff works as it should. My sn is in the 500 range.

All di best.
Hey @adam_baumm :)

It's good to know your Mighty is performing as she should.

My unit's s/n is in the 1000's & unfortunately I cannot say the same.

The vibrate function works fine but the unit does not work as a pass through at all. It can struggle to heat in the cold when the battery is lower than 3 bars & on occasion I get the ER04 error when taking an extended draw.

I know these faults are all a result of a software issue which can be resolved with an update from S&B but I'm yet to send her packing . . .

I guess ol' Borz & Stickle must've had some kind of software glitch at somepoint midway during early production which meant they flashed a whole bunch of units with a dodgy firmware version :disgust:

I know I should get it sorted though because I really want it to pass through for group situations where 5 bowls just ain't cuttin' it.

Anyway, disregarding any psychological issues my Mighty may have, I still think she is a vecduction heavyweight stomper

& yep, in my humble opinion, Mighty is definitely THE flower vape that can provide an overall experience which is most comparable to actually smokin' a J.

I swear she virtually forces me to French inhale!

:peace:
