I find it odd that people are complaining about the PVHES stems being higher airflow when that was the entire point in their design...?

Not the regular PVHES stems.

We are talking about the new Vortex stems.

My straight PVHES hits like a champ ( It's the only one i use when at home ).

The regular PVHES 14mm gong ( For when out of the house ).

PVHES 14mm Turbo gong ( With a Pinnacle WT ).

So I just got my 14mm gong and tried using it with my pinnacle pro water tool knockoff from dhgate. I had the gong loaded and filled the bubbler with water which only holds very little. When I sat it on top of the gong water leaked from the bottom straight into my bowl soaking my herb and getting the heating chamber a little wet.

Not sure why this happened and hope it didn't mess up my air.

Hey guys, long time Solo user, got my Air a few months back. I like to lurk here and get tips, read a few debates. But I really like vape porn! I enjoy looking at what others have. So I thought I would share my family.

I haven't seen anyone else with a helix though. I enjoy mine as an air cooled stem or with the PWT.

This is most of it. And I confess to being an Arizer and VaporGenie fan.

My first ever post in any forum for anything and I have to post pics... Please forgive me if this doesn't work.

After I got the red sleeve for the Air, I couldn't help but get a Deadpool look/vibe with it. If I had any artistic talent, the sleeves beg to be drawn into Avengers but the blue could be Superman lol, I'm stoned.

Anyway, I hope I didn't break any rules and that this contribution was positive!

Thanks for being a fun community.

Nice gear man!!

What lighter is that if you dont mind me asking?

And are you saying the helix works as a stem for the Air??

Thanks and its a Calibri. Its tough to find a lighter with a big enough tank without having to refill every other time for the Genie's.

The Helix is awesome. When I use it as a stem it's like whipped cream (using Stewie's voice). And its fun to watch it swirl. Inexpensive too.

So the Helix does fit into the Air for use like a regular stem??

Id love to see a picture of it setup for use in the Air if possible.

And i know what you mean about the fuel tank size. Im a fan of lighters, i normally prefer soft flame lighters but im not using them for vaping. My favorite lighter is my IM corona Old Boy. Huge fuel tank and has never failed to light on the first try even after weeks of non use.

I have shared this picture before but it shows the lighter in the front right. Its a soft flame pipe lighter.. I love it.

Unfortunately I cant see your pic.

Thanks I have read your posts. Love your lighter posts. Definitely looking into that Old Boy next.

I mean using it with a 14mm gong of course. In case that was unclear.

Very light though, like hitting literal air but plenty of vape. The cleck clip is optional and for the bubbler or double tube I like using a carbed gong.

Nice setup and welcome to FC, your going to fit right in! I love the Helix attachment as well! Use it instead of stems too, works great at cooling and like you said stunning visual feedback to boot! My favorite combo is a 14mm roasting tube with 14mm Helix attached. Stoked to seeing it in others setup lately!

What's that bigger stem in front of the Solo and Air? It almost looks like it could be a stem, a steamroller, or a strange hash oil extraction tube. I'm curious!

And stop buying the Solo GonGs!! I've been waiting so long! :argh:

Sorry for your misfortune. The same thing happened to my original Pax when i first hooked it up to the Pinnacle WT. Thankfully nothing happened. But that's the risk we take when putting water above an electronic device. It's much safer if the Air or any vaporizer was on top of the water tool. ( Good example would be the D20 bubbler )

Test the bubbler out first before putting it on. To make sure the water is not spilling over when percolating. Also warn anyone ( especially newbies ) from coughing or breathing back into the water tool or bubbler. That will force more water into the vaporizer causing more damage. Rather than just spilling or leaking a little.

If the water didn't go as far as the heating chamber. IMO you should be good.

If water went down any of the 4 holes you might have some issues.

Maybe take the battery out and with a flashlight look inside for moisture. Let it sit over night before turning it back on just to be safe.

I agree with you.

Seems like the Vortex lets too much air in.

Which IMO overwelms/saturates the herb.

Right off the bat. I took the course screen that comes with it out (which are smaller than normal).

I couldn't even get a regular Solo fine screen to fit in. Without cutting it.

Replaced it with the Sinclue domed screen. But put it in the basket way. Not domed.

ABV was a light brown throughout. With a darker brown closer to the oven.

I like how it fits in the Air. Not to loose and not to tight ( My PV 14mm gong has the tightest fit ). Plus I like how nice and thick the Vortex glass is.

But my straight PVHES stem hits way better.

Will do more testing to be sure.

yea. i wish there was some way for me to cut the stem make it a bit shorter. i smoke mostly in 35~ degree weather and i feel like all the vapor just sticks to the glass and cools of instantaneously woulda much rather gotten the gong.

Thanks for the reply. I read a post about the f bomb and how the vents on it don't allow water to spill or something along those lines. Basically it's design is superior to the pinnacle or knockoffs found elsewhere. It's just hard to spend the money on it being so expensive.

So my Air finally came today! My first reactions to it were:

I couldn't believe how small it was compared to the solo. Of course it could have been even smaller but imo this is a perfect size.

The airflow was much improved compared to my solo. My solo is an older model so I can't speak for the newer solos if they have improved that but imo the airflow was perfect. Not too restricted but also not like sucking from a straw.

I did not want to buy any other accessories before I was able to try the stock versions. I personally really like the stock stems and the one time I had a PVHES, I thought the airflow wasn't restricted enough decreasing my cloud production. I have an EVO that I can use with water so I felt no need in purchasing a gong.

Overall I am very very satisfied with this purchase. It is everything I pretty much wanted in a portable. And the fact that its from Arizer makes it that much better. I hope you guys are enjoying the air as much as I am and it is nice to know that we all have our own preferences on how we vape, even if its the same device. Stay medicated :leaf:

If your Air was heated, the little bit of water that did leak most likely evaporated from chamber heat or absorbed into the material. If it was not heated, the little bit still could have gotten absorbed by your material. I have the same peice and its leaked before but thankfully its only a little bit of water. IMO either way, you're A-OK:tup:
Vape away!!

I've been doing alot of head-to-head experimenting with the Air vs Solo. I found that the EXACT same stem in the Solo gave me BETTER airflow in the Air! I rocked the stem in the Solo, lifted, manipulated, etc. but the holes are SO small in my long straight Solo Aroma Tube that it had a serious milkshake effect making it unusable IMO. Tried it in the Air - bang perfect airflow! WTF? The holes are the same size as the 60mm plastic tip, but I still find the 60mm better than the long straight for airflow.

Although I didn't originally think this way, now after much time with both the Air and Solo, I am moving on from the Solo! I just don't see a need for it, when the Air does everything even better IMO. The form factor is a huge difference now, and the batteries on the go is just fucking awesome.

I love my Air(s)! Pumped to be getting some batteries from @CentiZen in the mail today! Already got my Nitecore d4 (thanks amazon for $39.99cdn no tax free shipping!) and i'm all ready to go (without water). Just waiting for that 18mm gong on PV!

Are there solo length stems made specifically for the air yet? I saw a post from someone saying the original stems would work but since it's not a perfect fit they would wear the ring out. I saw replacement 70mm stems but nothing solo length.

Arizer claims that Solo and Air stems are compatible and interchangable.

Any specific ones you'd recommend that work with a 14mm gong and on the smaller side?
D020+14mm to 18mm flush adapter.

The D020 is alot smaller than you think. I always forget how small it is when use my D020, big rips tho.

So I will need another adapter that stems off my 14mm gong? Where can those be purchased?

Finally got 5 full "green" sessions on one battery charge. Battery usually peters out @ 4.5 "green" sessions. What % do you get 5 full sessions from 1 charge?
