oh man.... i just destroyed my vapor genie to make a ceramic disc that they have on the 7th floor site... if those ceramic pieces fit and enano stem than you can drop your oil on top... and use it like a healthstone... (if they are actually what i think....im n a rush......)

http://silversurfervap.com/index.php/silversurfervap/accessories/screens/ceramic-flavor-disc.html

it seemed to work good with my vapor genie mod...

ill probably buy some and try the adjustable screen, the cermic button and the ceramic flavor thing stacked... that might help reduce leakage

@bubbha ho-tep what is the diameter of the button screens? the flavor screens come in 14mm and 19mm so i think they would have to be sanded down a but t fit a stem.

Not sure the exsact diamiter but they fit in the e-nano gong very well with only a little room on the side edges.
I thought the same exact thing about those 14mm and 19mm flavor disks. They look awesome but you'd have to sand them to fit like you said. But I really like the button screens more than I thought I would.

Not to side swipe the posts, but do any of you guys combust, using the nano? What I mean is roast the herbs on a darker side. I just had a sesh and it kinda went like that I am blasted right now, I checked the herb, on one of the hits and it was roasted: dark brown, on most of one side. The problem is, I dont know whether I should feel guilty or not.

I posted almost the very same thing about a month or two ago. That I had discovered that sometimes it is fun to toe the line between vaping and combusting. I did this when I was having severe breakthrough pain and found that heat approaching combustion was helping to really extract everything I could get out of my medical CBD strains.

And yes, I felt a little guilty. I think I even talked about it as a "dark secret".

But you are not alone, many of us do this sometimes, and it's ok to vape however works for you.

And while we are discussing combustion with the E-Nano, I want to remind everyone to keep lighters out of reach when vaping or you might end up like me. The other day I was going back and forth between my E-Nano and my Vapman, which requires a small lighter sized butane torch. Well, old habits die hard, because I had a bong in one hand, a lighter in the other, and I smoked that E=Nano GonG like a traditional old fashioned bong hit. I didn't realize what I had done until the smoke hit my lungs. But for about a half second, I was really impressed with the dense clouds! Ha!

Now that was funny.

Its fun to dance back and forth, I actually turned it down a notch on next, in a fake attempt to fool myself that I was actually doing good.

I do feel the deep CBDs.

What I was trying to replicate was what I did last weeK. I had left the nano on 10 for a bit too long, I remembered someone here mentioning hovering the nano overhead in order not to scorch the herb, so when I went down to 6.5 for the first two hits, it was whitewalling the glass. So I hovered. Not only did I make a good extraction, but the herb never got dark dark. It was perfect.

This time, I went to the other side a bit.

I see what youre saying. @ChippyMalone

When combustion happens you will know it. It doesn't happen gradually. It' doesn't happen a little bit. It happens immediately and the whole bowl goes. You'll have to clean your glass after because it will taste like an ash tray.

You're not combusting lol

As @Uzer said, when you combust, you know it. Your herbs will have ash in them.

Browning is natural if your heater is too close to the herbs - it happens to mine quite often (I pack too much into the stem!). This will throw off the flavor a bit (creating more of a roasted flavor). But you are most certainly not combusting!

You can prevent this by doing smaller loads or moving the screen further away from the heat

It makes sense. Though sometimes my herbs shrink which I believe is a natural occurance to vaporizing. But sometimes the material starts dissappearing without any signs of combustion or near it and Ive been trying to solve that mystery.

Was going to order my first e-nano earlier, but the website went down. :(
its back up. the site is being moved from open-cart to woo-commerce, and the host is being switched. I'm sure there will be a few more glitches in the next week or two.
The old site seemed like a never ending battle to keep up, keep orders, reward points and emails straight and plug-ins working.....at least it took forever to load...

So odd. I've never combusted with the E-nano, but after we just discussed this last night, right before bed, it happened to me (and this time it wasn't just me being a bonehead with a lighter). I returned to a previously vaped GonG, and decided to give it a stir and one quick hit just to warm up the GonG and release the AVB from the glass and screen. The device was accidentally set at 8 (I would have expected this to happen hotter than that), but that AVB was very dry and it combusted about three seconds into my hit because I also did not pack it down so the heater core's screen made physical contact with the already toasted material.

I have a couple pony tail hair band thingies on my dial that add some friction to keep the dial from moving unintentionally, but I really wish it had a clicking type dial switch instead of a completely smooth analog thermostat dial. Maybe I do need to swap out to that remote control wall unit and an old computer printer power cord? That was the best idea I've seen around here in a while.

As I've found in my day-job as marketing director, open source software works great to save money, but they can be a REAL pain in the ass when shit breaks. That's why I opted to use big-commerce both webstores I manage. It's hosted, constantly updated, and fully supported - if shit breaks, I call someone any time of day and it's fixed within 30 minutes, even if it was my fault!

Good luck moving to your new shopping cart system, hopefully WooCommerce works better for ya (though I can already see more headaches down the road  )

Don't get me wrong, I love open source software, I have used and donated money to many projects over the years. But for mission critical systems like a storefront for cash-flow, it doesn't make sense to risk the "go it yourself" route :2c:

If you're careful, you can pop off the temp dial. It's friction fitted into place. I used two plastic pry-tools that came with an old LCD screen replacement kit I bought years ago. I put one on each side of the dial and pried upwards.

Once the dial comes off, you'll see a metal shaft with a bolt holding it in place. Use a wrench to tighten that bolt (maybe about 1/4 a turn). Re-install the dial (be sure to line up the arrow so turning off the device set it to 0!).

That will greatly stiffen your Nano's Temp controller and prevent the issue

thinking of picking up the epic e-nano. I noticed their website has the quick start guide, it says to put nuggets of herb in the bowl without grinding. is that how you guys use it? can't understand why grinding wouldn't be more efficient with the greater surface area exposed. anyone have some thoughts on the subject?

I grind my bud (loading between 0.1 and 0.15g per load). But that's because I love to cloud chase.

I have and you can use the Nano with unground herbs. The real benefit is the flavor - you will enjoy flavorful hits for an entire session if you start with a nugget and break/stir it up as you vape.

I will sometimes put a squishy bud directly into the stem. The first low temperature hit will usually dry it out such that a quick stir with a small tool will grind it up right in the stem for the next hits. It does pretty much guarantee at least two flavorful hits per load.

The trick is to get the right amount loaded without scorching it with the screen (unless you are into that sort of thing!)

I never grind!!! If you get the temp/pack right, you can blow huge clouds that are super smooth an the taste is wonderful.

Was just talking about this on another thread lol

I find it does make a difference. Some prefer unground, I prefer ground. IME if you are doing smaller loads, with lower temps (6.25 or so) - in essence using the 2 hit method - grinding helps a good bit for full extraction. By the end of the 3rd hit (for me) it's spent. Doing 1 hit, then breaking up in stem does OK - but a PIA IMO, and not really worth it for the small loads. Plus, is much easier to keep your loads consistent with grinding. But, if you're pushing that screen down and going for 5-6 or more hits per load, I could see where not grinding would work fine. Especially if you are getting a couple hits, then breaking it up while stirring.

One of you guys had gotten a power inverter or some thing to run enano off a car battery for camping.
How is the working for you?
I have one of those portable car jumpers, would that work? And if so what do need, it would need to plug into the "cigarette lighter" port.

I've got this inverter from Amazon. Has worked great in testing, but honestly haven't put it through its paces, yet. For me it will be more for tailgating, camping or extremely long road trips. Usually the solo or MFLB (with car adapter PA) takes care of any drives of an hour or so if needed. Most of the time I can make it that long with no problem vaping before I leave and on arrival.

@flotntoke Yeh man I agree with what your saying still. Quite a versitle little vape, lol. I use the stem with the glass screen @ 5.5-6, vape till no vapor then I flip it over for another hit or two. I've never counted hits or anything, but it's about a 10mins session. I think? lol I guess in this case there's no right or wrong, just what you prefer.

You will break it up eventually, right there in the stem, with the included, "e-pik".

But starting with a whole small bud (piece of bud really) will give you amazing flavor on the first hit. Then you can flip the bud (with the pick) and get a second big flavor hit.

Once you do that the bud is dry enough that some light poking and it breaks right apart. Continue hitting and stir as you go.

It's all in the reflexes.
The wood on my nano split tonight. It was on 6 just sitting on my desk. I heard a crack sound and couldn't figure out where it came from. Noticed the crack just now. It doesn't seem to affect the functionality but still.
