The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

I have not seen where the crafty/mighty are labelled as pure convection, not sure where some of u got that impression.

Taken directly from the S&B website.
"With the CRAFTY, as well as with the MIGHTY and PLENTY, vaporization functions on the basis of a full hot air convection heating combined with conduction. The convection heating provides an immediate and continuous vaporization, whereas the conduction ensures that there is vapor created from the very first breath"

I saw it on @t-dub signature as convection which is why I asked. It looked like it was copied from the storz&bickel site. My bad !

Shredder when you do a full load and slowly raise the temp how long does your session last? Around about how many draws are you getting off a full load?

Hard to say, because I've never counted, and we might have a ton of varibles between you and I. But a tight pack of a full bowl will last a loooooonnnnng time. I tried some dry ice hash in a bowl once and it must have been over twenty minutes. There is some draw resistance with a tight pack, at least more than looser pack. On my session with dry ice hash, my mighty turned itself off at least 3 times, lol. And it did heat up noticeably, and towards the end the taste was not great, but the buzz was.

Yep with a tight pack I can kill it in 5 of 15 depending in how I hit it.

My only issue with this vape is I have been using it so much my throat gets dry. I wish s&b sold some water path adapters. Now I would get a hydratube for my mighty :)

You have to put it down once in a while, lol. Sometimes I just shut it down after the good flavor leaves. And like my volcano a glass of ice water helps to cool the old pipes between hits. But I look forward to some water adventures myself someday.

Personally I think you need a little conduction!

Hey guys, can anyone comment on how The Mighty compares to the Minivap? I'm in the market for one of them and really can't make my mind up. :D

Also, does the unit itself smell noticeably? I live on campus at the moment so these are things I need to consider.

I think it's pretty subjective. Most of the posts I've read seem to point to the Mighty for simplicity, and the Minivap for modding and using with water tools.

I'm pretty sure both will leave a lingering odor after a heavy session, but neither as much as combusting. Best get some kind of ventilation going if you need to be stealthy, or better still, take your vape for a walk outside.

Thanks for your prompt reply, appreciate it. :)

I was actually talking about the smell coming from the unit when I've finished my session etc and put it aside. I've got a balcony where I can chill and vape in peace, just worried about the thing stinking up my room when I bring it back inside after use! (I've got a pretty small room)

I'm not really looking to hook it up to a glass piece, what I'm looking for is big clouds with flavour. I hear the Minivap is comparable to The Verdamper in terms of having moist, flavourful hits, which is what really got me interested as the Verdamper is insane.

A friend and me fogged out a room really hard with 2 full mighty sessions. Probably took near 40 minutes of constant vaping. Forget smell, you won't be able to see.

If you clean it regularly with iso, I think it should stay fragrant-free when not in use.

I would say, take the same precaution as you would with weed. I'm legal so IDC, but my weed smells much stronger than this vape, and the vape does not smell like weed. It's a strange hard to define smell, but if you can cover up strong weed, don't worry about a vape.

The Minivap is much easier to clean. The only smelly part (if basket is used) is the silicone whip. The unit and the bowl are completely residue-free. I could pass a police control or airport security check with a disassembled Minivap for sure. No smell on it apart the silicone.
The mighty is really stinky when not in a ventilated room, well cleaned or in a smell-proof case. I can smell my mighty the same second I wake up, it's on the table besides the bed (the Minivap I can smell, too, when waking up. The MV smells sweeter, less roasted !)
I'm not sure if this is enough to go for a MV over a Mighty... There are quite bigger (dis-) advantages than smell!

The only vape not really smelling is the MFLB, guess why it doesn't smell

Edit:
@shredder : nothing more to say!
Edit2:
@xhexk i would go with the mighty anyway when it's only about smell in your room.

This dependent on you and how often you clean your vape. My bedroom always smells, even with no herbs in there, because of all the vapes. With the MV, the unit stays clean if you use the basket, but the flexicone will get gunky and smell. it is small. with the Mighty the cooling cap will get really gunky, and the bowl will get a little seasoned unless you use a wire basket. I would guess more cleaning is needed with the Mighty's cooling cap, but you're gonna have to clean any vape you get if you don't want it to smell.
