Discontinued Sublimator XLR

Has anyone had any problems with the xlr dropping wattage like I have heard with the older model? I don't know if that's what the problem is but the past 2 days my sublimator has been giving me very weak hits even on higher flower temperatures. I got mine at the end of may last year so haven't owned it a year yet. nothing else has changed its still at the same table its been at the whole time. thanks

So yeah I saw that about xlr power.
That's why I haven't whipped out my soldering iron out yet!
I have the connectors laying around from audio use.

I would like to use those old-school connectors for electric fry pans etc.
But they're obsolete for a reason I would imagine.

So sub 2.0 is transformed to 24(?)v dc to the heads (I think max is 48v?),
while sub 1.0 is 115v ac all the way through.
Sorry for the intrusion here, I will continue this in the 1.0 thread.

I just got a Sublimator XLR 2.0 Adapt-A-DabMaster Kit. The cable for the XLR on the controller is 18 gauge wire. I used a piece of 18 gauge zip cord, and one male, and one female 3 pin XLR. Connect pin 1 to pin 1, and pin 2 to pin 2 on each XLR. Pin 3 is unused, and must be cut off of the male XLR and filed down so it is flush. I now have a 4 foot extension that plugs in between the controller, and The DabMaster XLR 2.0. Works great!!

Hooolllly shit, any chance you could post a few pics of the procedure?

If it's that simple I'll def make one up :D

My monkey controller is currently with an electrician mate who said he can lengthen the cord for me, but if I can just make an extension cable it'll be awesome!

No need to modify the controller. It is that easy! just 4 solder joints. I used a piece of 18 gauge zip cord, and one male 3 pin XLR, and one female 3 pin XLR. Connect pin 1 to pin 1, and pin 2 to pin 2 on each XLR. Pin 3 is unused, and must be cut off of the male XLR and filed down so it is flush. @HexX:science: Good work fella!

That's some handy info.

It's nice that you dont have to attack the Sub controller.

Perfect ;)

Hey @MGG

How about a video?

Steve, Enrico & Al get 'Sub'd the fuck out' using the Sublimator with carb-cap . . .

. . . Yup, it's pretty much what you should've expected.

E-nail's can't do double deckers like the sub.

Single craziest hit I've ever done. The carb cap just makes it all the better.

yeah sure but enails provide superior temp control and quality.
Don't get me wrong, sublimator is great and I use it all the time, but a legit
enail is always going to be superior for oils.

OK first time here on the XLR thread..

First I'm glad you guys figured out how to make the cord from the control box longer..... Nice ( my og sub cord is 12 ft )

Second I saw the video of Enrico using his carb cab.. And it brought me back to thinking about when I first started dabbing with my Apollo turned all the way up ( which I love ).. I noticed my dabs got smaller and better tasting than using a domeless nail.

Then when I first saw a carb cap I kinda understood why people used them ( well maybe not completely ) and I all ways wondered if hitting BHO in the holes of the Appolo was like carp cap dabbing with a reg torch and domeless nail or e-nail?

For those who have done both.. Since the hit is inside the Apollo is that like closing it off with a carb cap?

Hello hope you all good? This is my first post,I own an eq , solo and mflb.I have got on with these so thought i would upgrade. So i have ordered an adapt dab master kit the one with the heater and atomiser,i did not want the full kit as i have plenty of dhgate glass to use with it.The order was placed 9 march it said it was in stock at pv,then i get the you have been placed on backorder email,(slightly annoying)Which i accept as its a quality item and popular also newly released.I really want this to come before 20th april so i can sub at the event in the uk 420.There seems to be only a few places that sell the basic kit and all in Canada.
Has anyone had a similar occurrence and how long did it take for the order to complete?
I did try to order direct but the sub site would not recognise my area in uk or not recognise my postcode which was a shame so i used the pv site.

Just made myself a 5m Sub Extension cord :D

Many thanks @HexX You've made my sub experience a whole lot better :)

It also makes it seem triply stupid to me that the sub doesn't have a longer cord or sell a branded extension cord...

I asked PlanetVape about it once and they said that the sublimator guys told them that they were working on an extension cord (3ft) but it couldn't be any longer due to voltage drop issues or something...
My 5m (~15ft) cord begs to differ :)

Good stuff it arrived today, well i had to go to the parcel depot to pick it up as the delivery guy must have had a bad day. So i have it home and am going the burn off.Has anybody else found the stand a right pta.I have the adapt dab master and the body does not fit into the stand cutout at all.The only way for it to work is for the atomiser handle go through the bottom of the cutout S.So it stands there waiting to fall over this can't be right.
I have looked for pictures and can find no info on how to use the new stand.

I leave the atomizer in my glass, and use the stand to hold the Adapt A Dab heater only when filling, or emptying the atomizer. The heater stays on the atomizer unless I am filling, or emptying it. (see pic)

This is a stupid question probably, but is it possible to maintain ones tolerance when doing dabs? I am interested in trying dabs, but don't want to increase my tolerance to where I'm going through material quicker and am requiring increasing amounts of flower much.

flowers are about 25% thc and Dabs are 65% and up so I'd say your tolerance is going to go up. but what matters more I think how often you get high / medicated...

I do a lot of Dabs and it does taking more flowers to satisfy me.. But also the Sublimator makes the flowers taste so good I think I could win a smoke off with snoop dog. I find myself scooping those ground up flowers into the bowl way too fast. Vaping from the sub is so good seems like you all ways want another one.

Now here is the math question 1/8 cost me 35$ -40$ Wax is $20g - 30g Shatter is $35g -45g which last longer which gets you more medicated.. I like when I find great wax at 20-25$ seems to go farther than a 40$ 1/8

Here is a Better Question - When will they start growing cannabis like corn so we can get it at a decent price?

Not wanting to go too DIY on this I ordered this cord:
Hosa XFF-101.5 1.5-Feet XLR3F RA to XLR3M Cable https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001L9AVXU/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_hrAevb066WZRQ
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001L9AVXU/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_hrAevb066WZRQ

I kept it short (1.5 ft) to stave off any voltage drop paranoia (to each his own). Right angle connector is a gamble, we'll see if it's an improvement.
