Wow! Very quick response, yea you're right so hopefully we get a kicktastic update on the first few days of April, like others have said, perhaps even an update in the mailbox for the indiegogo backers?

are you referring to an actual manufacturing plant from China, to comment on the subreddit?

I would imagine they would not be particularly interested in a specific order since they would be a large plant and have many different projects going on.

@Hippie Dickie, yes I am banking on it! I would imagine that is the sole reason many of us are checking this thread religiously like the stockmarket or the bitcoin price :D

I was just curious if anyone from Grasshopper has stopped by, or intends to stop by FC (@BuzzDanklin - any mention of FC in your talks with them?)

There are many manufacturers of vapes who maintain an active account on this website for communication with customers. I've seen those who directly engage their customers tend to release better vapes down the line. (I'll be anxious to see how much better the Pax2 performs)

You know, you raise a good point with the pax2, I am curious how the lip sensing thing will work out for them, especially interested in a head to head with some other vapes like crafty, the Arizer Air/solo, etc.

I've the original pax it's very discreet and matches BMW flair, I've been pulled over once with the Pax1 in the cupholder, and the officer thought It was a battery bank and didn't give it a second look, since I had a usb cable in there too around it at the time, very risky don't recommend ever, my heart rate was like 200 at that moment.


Anyway,

I would like to see a vapor chamber type device for vape testing, exactly like the one in the early GHV testing vids, but for all vapes.

I know the pax 1 can easily be hooked up to tubing by simply removing the mouthpiece from the metal stem, and being careful not to lose that metal ring, lol.

I feel like this vacuum vapor chamber will be a very good universal comparison test for all vapes since you can visually see the exact vapor produced, rather than have it go into someone's lungs get partially condensed on their tissues and then exhaled.

To build on this, perhaps that vapor chamber device can be converted to a universal bag filing machine?

Although you could just fill up the chamber and do what the grasshopper tester does in the abv test.

I just tried this, and it took 3 sheets of paper before it didn't fall. It is fairly heavy compared to a normal pen, so even though the clip was putting pressure on the single sheet of paper, it just want enough to hold the weight.

Also I have been carrying mine by the clip in my jeans pocket a lot, so that may have loosened it up. I have not bent mine yet, but you can just remove the battery cover, and bend the clip down tightly if you want, however if you make it put a lot of pressure on the pen body, it could make a nice spiral scratch :)

@Ratchett @Kief I got the vibe they just didn't have the time for FC during production. I imagine they will come into FC a lot more once they get the backer and pre-order units out. This is all speculation n my part though.

I have not gotten to see/try the production screen in real life. I was only able to see the 3d renderings on the computer.

With my screen, when fully clean, you could not use kief, it would definitely come through. However after a couple bowls, the screen starts to get sticky and a bit covered, at this point I believe you could use kief, but I have not tried it yet. I will try this and get back to you though.

I have finished a full load with the GH in 3 draws a couple of different times with various water pieces. With the D020D I have been able to get the avb completely even after 3 monster draws on max temp, but that is really pushing the vape to the max, highest temps, and the biggest longest draws I can take through a bubbler.

The resistance is not as low as a volcano bag, but compared to other portables it is very low. It has MUCH less draw resistance than the common portables like the Solo/Pax/Air/Firefly etc. The Pen hole is decently large.

With the GH, I deducted for a couple things. First I am holding the score back a bit because it's a brand new company with a brand new unit that has no long term record for reliability. I am also deducting a bit because the unit does get hot after heavy use, and the vapor path is very short so the vapor is a bit warmer than some of the other top portables. (Although both of these last 2 things were expected in such a small metal device)

This is interesting to me, because I get more medicated from my Volcano than I do from my Haze. When you used the volcano what temp did you use? Next time try a higher temp bag, or even max temp if you really want to see if it works for you.

I get real medicated from the Haze, but I do still get more medicated from the GH, unfortunately since the Volcano doesn't seem to work well for you, me saying the GH works better for me might not hold much weight to you.

The thing about the GH, is you can extract a decently large bowl really fast with high temps if you want, so It hits me really hard/quick if I want it to.

What is the difference between the screens?

Is the production one finer or allows better airflow or something like that?

Also I'm not too sure if this has been asked directly in the thread yet, but are they working on the concentrates mouth piece?

Have you tried a prototype version and as per the 45watt and higher software controlled heater; when the concentrates mp is screwed on, will the grasshopper know that it's a different mp, and adjust the heater accordingly?

The screen I have was occasionally popping out of place during cleaning if it was repeatedly poked at in their day to day testing. They weren't happy that it was occasionally coming out, so they designed their own screen out of SS that is built to withstand lots of abuse, like people poking it etc. The screens were not there yet when I was there so I have not gotten to see them in person. I also do not know if it is finer or less fine. I do know that it is made out of medical stainless steel, and the holes were honeycomb shaped, it looked cool on the computer :)

Unfortunately I did not see or hear anything about concentrates while I was there
