Unusual fonts and odd colours

OK. In the RMA email used for ALL repairs it specifically asks for pictures of the unit.
Here is a list of things we need for an RMA and this should have been emailed to you:
Include full name and address

Description of issue (with pic if you can)

Contact number

Color of unit

Name of website/store where purchased, include copy of receipt. (Purchase Price)

Unit serial number, starts with \1AA1, – (should be able to find it on box or below unit)

Now I have to ask, how was it shipped and how was it received? Was the packaging possibly the problem? We're more than happy to help you out, I apologize for all the inconvenience.

@Davinci_vaporizer , '"Description of issue ( with pic if you can )"' tells customer nothing @

requiring a pic re: protection from abuse ~ First of all ,even if stated correctly ,it implies that a

camera must be available
,or even access to one ~

In all my extensive online returns ,it has never been a requirement to send in multiple pix ( at

all angles ) for protection from mishandling or abuse by tech dept ~

All return packaging was done according to instructions re: USPS return box after bubble

wrapping unit ;unit was received in similar mode except for scaring on both sides of curved

body
~ there was no possibility of charger plug to access painted surfaces w/ all bubble wrap

involved

IMHO ,if company's Quality Control jeopardizes integrity of repair/ unit in any manner ,

it should be up to DaVinci to inspect units upon arrival ,and a detour from reg repair

time if so-called
required pix are not included

After donating over $400 ( 2 units ) w/ in 60 days ,a customer should not have to wait w/ baited breath

to see if repair return was done properly ( life is too short )

This customer accepts acknowledgement from company re; said *dispute ~ If company wants

to make restitution ( replacement/ refund ) @ least a show of
good faith will go a long way to

restore confidence ~

Psst*... Additionally ,modifying return requirements should state '" mandatory pix"' vs ''pic if you can"'

Again ,thankyou DaVinci for addressing this issue ,and
hopefully ,make it right

Sincerely

I refrained from commenting because it's against forum rules to discuss other members actions, but posting on a public forum if nobody reads you is a bit... pointless no? With all due respect @silvercloud358 I think that your text embelishment deserves you more than anything else and makes it very painful to read your posts. Let's say it distracts the reader from the substance and make him focus on the form...

Another rule says we shall not publicly discuss moderators decisions, so let's just say that they told me that there is no rule to force users to stick to the default formatting, they are free to write the way they want... all caps, colors, sizes... paragraphs or no paragraphs... as long as we stay polite towards each others!

If FC moderators did not want us posting in this site using various font/text formats, then the option would not be available to the user.

It's all a difference of opinion here, similar to how we all use our Ascents.

We all want to share our opinions here and some of us want us to conform to some type of guideline, which is understandable.

I enjoy your posts.

Keep up the great work @silvercloud358, because you are contributing to this thread!

Fuck... my eyes hurt now, I need to hit my Ascent to relieve the tension!!!

If you were using smaller text, that question may make some since. I can read this text just fine, the same text that everyone else uses.

No, it's not... and white text is not going to be seen by someone using the white background. I made that mistake once, but with black.

An intelligent person or persons decided on a font and backgrounds for this forum that is very easy on the eyes for reading, anyone that want's their posts to be easy to read (so they get read) should use that. Keeping this forum easy to read should be important to all of us.

My eyes also hurt from trying to read that, was it your intention to cause me and others eye strain? That wouldn't be very nice. I'd like to read everyone's opinion and contributions without eye strain and I'm sure others feel the same way. The text formatting options have their uses, they should not be used to highlight or oversize an entire post.
In January in my case. The Doc confirms I too don't need or benefit from the distracting text.

If the goal is to get guys to read what you post, and pay careful attention, you might want to rethink the 'eye grabbing' text part?
Exactly.

@Kief,

Nice profile pic.

Interesting that you use a picture of an individual trichrome vs a group such as mine.

Maybe you like to take a micro-prespective approach? (I'm assuming)
Maybe I like to take a macro-prespective approach? (I'm not assuming)

Why would I intentionally try to cause strain on other's?
You're speculating and assuming.

I was simply backing @silvercloud358 up.
Not that he needs it nor did he ask for it.

I actually mentioned that the different font color and formatting was causing stress in my eyes.

Which leads me to believe that many of us are lacking in eye exercises:
http://www.wikihow.com/Exercise-Your-Eyes

To each his own, and freedom of speech on here.

There are ways to ask people in life to come to a compromise.

Maybe everyone's bitching should be directed towards the FC mods?

So we don't have any choices or options to pick and choose the different font formats?

Anywhoooo to stay on topic of the Davinci Ascent:

I get it you don't like his (and other's) opinion on the topic, but I don't think the personal shots really help.

Accept it or not, some of us find it annoying. Doing annoying things, especially ones you know are annoying, for no reason isn't a good way to get folks on your side. If you're looking for my help, please oblige me by posting in the normal, polite manner? Otherwise, I'll ignore it I guess?

TIA

You know why I called you all here.

I've posted many times that making negative comments about another member's posting style is a really bad idea. It leads to flame wars, not to mention headaches for the moderators. I know many if not all of you have seen me post this before, yet you all just had to have your say anyway—some of you more than once.

If FC moderators did not want us posting in this site using various font/text formats, then the option would not be available to the user.

This is correct insofar as the function is there, we can't disable it, and we're certainly not about to police how it's used. There is nothing in the rules about this, nor will there be. We have had reports complaining about @silvercloud358 using unusual fonts and formatting, we've rejected them all, and will continue to do so. The point about getting fewer readers is a valid one, but it also reflects another important fact: if it bothers you, you don't have to read it.

Don't bring this up again. Notice I didn't say please this time.
