It comes with a leather sleeve? Is that the only TI model, or both types?

It doesn't come with a charger. You charge the unit with the battery inside the GH. They haven't made a battery charger as of yet. The battery takes about an hour to charge is what @BuzzDanklin said.

EDIT
I thought that I saw that it came with a battery?

 Found your post a little confusing, at first you mention it doesn't come with a charger then next line you mention it charges inside the GH. How does it do that then...Magic! ;)
It comes with a magnetic charger that slips over the on/off button. If you are talking about an external charger. ie something like a "nitecore" that is something that will be looked at after release I believe.

I have the feeling many people here today are having a vape heavy weekend :ko:;)

I think at this point you should be looking at www.grasshoppervape.com for info not the Indiegogo site.

Edit: Was any explanation given for the discrepancy in wattages listed on the website and what VaporWizard says in his review? 30w vs 45w.

Matt said the heater output wattage can be controlled via the software, he said with the latest software on the version I have, the heater is peaking at 45watts, but he said it has even more room if he wanted to push it harder.

Hey all, just pre-ordered the Titanium version along with an extra battery. I'm looking to pick up a bubbler that fits the Grasshopper as well. What are the best bubblers that fit the criteria?

Thanks,

I have it narrowed to 2 choices:

1) The Vapor Brothers Mini Hydrator Bubbler
http://aqualabtechnologies.com/vapor-brothers-mini-hydrator-bubbler.html
All one piece, 14mm for GH, love the curvy but stable design, thick glass, more slits than its china clone. $100 but that's still less than most of the higher end glass I saw.

2) Get a little carton of glass beads from a craft store for $3.75 and plunk them into my old cylinder bong, which is also 14mm. I think I’ll try this one first!

@BuzzDanklin I was wondering how does the vapor quality of the Hopper at lower and higher temps differ from the Arizer Air/Solo. I've heard such good comments about the vapor quality of the air/solo...does it beat it?

They are similar definitely different, its easiest to explain when I break vapor quality down further.

First with Flavor, they start off similar, but by the end of the bowl, the GH tastes better than the Air/Solo, it doesn't end up with the conduction taste I get at the end of air/solo bowls.

With Density the GH crushes, it can produce denser clouds than any of my portables, except maybe the Firefly.

Vapor temp is where the GH get passed by the larger vapes with longer vapor paths. The GH vapor is warm since it has a very minimal vapor path. This is not something that bothers me even though I do have a bit of a sensitive throat, but for someone with a very sensitive throat it may be a bit of an issue.

I don't mind them pushing it further, as long as it doesn't start combusting on the highest setting.

An extremely fast inhale is going to need more power to maintain the same temperature than an extremely slow inhale would need. As long as it is regulating this power properly, it should only use the wattage it needs for the current situation, so I'm cool with it.

Standard Titanium model is $180 and coloured Ti $185. The price on the indiegogo page is no longer relevant for orders or pricing now ;)

This begs the question...will the units that will be shipped to end users and are currently being built be 30w(as is listed on the website) or 45w as is the one you have? That seems like it would make a big difference in performance and battery life.

The way Matt explained it to me, they will not be changing the heater wattage for final production. He never even talked about lowering wattage, just talked a bit about how it could go up if he wanted it. He may have been letting me know it had additional room so that I knew it wasn't pushed to the ragged edge causing reliability issues, or maybe they have future plans I am not aware of.

People have told me (and I think they are correct) that you really only need cooling and hydration, as the vapor won't be harsh. You don't want to loose the original flavor, just make it easier to hit.

Ratchet (spelling?) suggested a basic D020:

If you ask, they might even be willing to throw in an adapter. :-)

@BuzzDanklin so will it be 30w or 45w then for final production/retail?

thats weird because on the website it says 30w. not that a care just mentioning. Im very surprised it has a lifetime warranty. that is pretty bold. any idea when I can walk down to one of the shops in vancouver and just buy this thing? would it be in 2015?

Living the vape life
This has been discussed already several pages back. They told Buzz all will come with the sleeve, silicone tip, spare screens, and potentially a multi tool.
Just emailed Trevor about the leather sleeve (and the WPA) and got a very quick response:

"Thanks for contacting me. The Stainless Grasshopper does not come with
the leather sleeve. I think the Vaporizer Wizard made a mistake about
this and confused some people. It does come with the TI and Color units.

The WPA is still going to be made. The silicon is not designed to be
used as the WPA although it seems some people have figured out that it
works in a non traditional way."

Damn. Guess i'll have to find my own sleeve option (how hard could it be...). I'm not too worried about it, but I think I want a sleeve to protect my SS GH, and to reduce smell from the oven when pre-loaded.

Thanks @caves for finding out.

Interesting.... I might just have to beat them to it! mwahahaha - my version will have a multi-fit end to work with both 14 and 18mm glass using the same adapter.

so both of them come with a free sleeve? sweet that sleeve looks like something rich people would have!

Cool. Those guys are awesome!

Oh...just read the rest of the thread.

Thank god the mouthpiece can still be used as an adapter.

If you had something that would stay in the Bubbler, and not come out when you tried to pull the grasshopper out, that would be perfect for me.

I think I'd probably normally use the grasshopper without a mouthpiece unless I was using it with a bubbler.
