Not really a fan of the EQ screen/basket.
I find that i get dark/burnt spots with the herb being that close to the heat source.
With the ELB i load about 4 mm of material and stir and tamp a few times and get very even brown ABV.

Always delicious and flavourful!
I have never had the burnt popcorn taste with this vape! Very impressed!

I also want to try the @Tweak SSV heater cover!!
That looks like an awesome mod!!!

For me, totally even ABV without any black specks like I get with my WPA. But, with the WPA I had the knob set to 2:00. Had to turn it down to 11:00 due to bud being closer to the heat source.

I wonder if the type of bubbler one uses makes the difference. I'm using the D020-D.

I also fill the basket to the brim............no tamping.

Maybe i just need to turn it down more...
I have a perfect spot on the dial for the ELB, at 11:45.

I will keep trying with the EQ basket and use 11 and see how it goes!
I am loving the efficiency of this vape!!!

A good example is this:
When i load up my Volcano bowl, i only just cover the screen, i use a whole weeks worth of LSV bud in that one bowl!!
Get medicated once per week OR every night for a week???
I go for every night and efficiency!!
Thank goodness i am still a light weight 20+ years later!!

Ya my experiences mirrors @lazylathe..... dude, I tried 11:00 but then couldn't get the ABV dark enough. I think i'll just keep sticking with the VXL ELB. I'm having incredible results like yourself with just a little!

Just tried the EQ basket, LSV set to 11, warmed up for about 3 minutes.
Hot spots in the centre, a nice dark ring surrounded by green.
Turned the temp down after each micro load but at 10 i am still getting the hot spots.
Milks the WT a lot faster this way!!
Flavour was a lot more robust!

I think i will stick to the ELB technique in an M2M, but i also add two pipe screens and a layer of cotton between them in the middle of the M2M. My glass stays super clean!!!

It is also very hard testing this vape...
5 micro loads, just barely covering the bottom of the EQ basket, and i am medicated again!
I love this vape!

I still have to try the cotton in the middle! Doesn't affect airflow? Or does it add just a touch of resistence, and thus increase cloud production?

I have had much success using the EQ screen when vaping concentrates!

LSV remains my favourite vape of all time!

IMO SS Wool is a better option than cotton...

I used cotton once, and IME it added a cottony flavour until it had accumulated enough resin that it was just kind neutral tasting...
I also felt like it changed the "texture" of the vapor, something I've never noticed jumping between vapes etc, so maybe it was just that bit of cottony taste affecting my perception of the hit?

Anyways I found SS wool gave me the same performance, with no added taste/texture etc...

Could somebody try to make a basket screen (as a nano one) to fit perfectly inside a M2M 18mm? i did not manage to do so yet.

i concur to stand on SS mesh ball or wool (do not know yet). Cotton add nasty taste...

The adjustable gong should be like a E-nano gong: EQ screen at the bottom+SS wool puck or mesh ball+ basket screen+ load.

I've never noticed a flavour with cotton, and I only use organic. How can I use the steel wool in the EQ basket? It would be awesome, if something like a Herbie pad fit in the eq basket.... def need something like that.

I have always preferred cotton due to paranoia of the concentrate running through the steel mesh. I tend to use more than I need to! lol

I had the best tasting lowest temp massive clouds last night! My wife is brand new to vaporizing and has tried a bunch of my vapes, and the one she likes best is the LSV! I know why!

this is the best way to do concentrates imo. liquid pads by s&b for mighty/crafty mounted to an 18m2m.

Here is my preferred LSV set up with the M2M and one other adapter i have!
Most of my WT's are 19mm so this works with most of them, the ones it does not fit have silicone adapters to help!

Supplies required:
19mm M2M
Pipe screens
Organic cotton

And the adapter with a small bit of cotton in the joint. This catches amazing, yellow oil that is super clean and potent! The initial screen and cotton traps all the larger particles before they contaminate the oil.
I vape the cotton on Friday night or on the weekend, free deliciously potent oil! Great for wake and vapes!

I find this set up keeps my glass spotless for the whole week!
A quick rinse and clean and it is good to go again!
I soak the M2M, adapter and screens in ISO and they are ready to be used again.

The last reason i like to use that last adapter is that i can see the vapour forming in the dome as i inhale and i can adjust on the fly for thinner or denser hits! It is also mesmerizing to watch the patterns the vapour forms!

I just threw in a screen and some cotton on top. Didn't really find a reason to sandwich with a 2nd screen? Airflow not effected! I still get boogers on the glass, but that's just condensed vapour.

Just realized that for the EQ elbow screen mod, you don't need one if you already have a VXL ELB! Just stic the ELB in with cap, and voila. Great for raising the load for concentrates!

How about putting the Hercules sr74x small ti gr2 oil pad or the herbie oil pad in the Arizer eq screen when doing pure concentrates? Or the funkyjunky's method posted above directly onto the m2m. I see the advantage to using the s&b pad in the Arizer eq screen instead of it by itself is that you can push it down deeper and don't have to worry about it falling thru.

Just some thoughts while I wait for my lsv.

Edit: Stickstones, the retailer I purchased from, suggests putting some hemp fiber on the bottom of the elb to catch that goodness.

Each one of my m2m adapter's ID is slightly different in size, so you would need to make different size screens.

I've been using an adjustable EQ elbow screen with the metal ring removed in my SSV wand for years, works great and fits most m2m adapters.

After not many uses with the cotton, I accidently vaped an empty vxELB (clean), and milked my bubbler and exhaled a huge TASTY cloud! Wow! I didn't know the cotton would deliver the goods so fast! And that was just at noon on the dial. I think i'm sticking with this method. Now all I think I need is some cranberry extract and my glass maintenance will be massively cut down!

Ok. I think I now understand what you guys are doing with a lot of success. There is a screen, hemp or cotton filler, screen all under the elb in the 18mm m2m. Then you place your medicine in the elb. Without the elb screen top, you hit the flowers in the elb and any juicy goodness is soaked up by the filler, which is later to be vaped. Your piece stays clean because the filler catches everything.

Is that somewhat correct? Will a 14mm m2m work just as well as a 18mm m2m?

I decided that i was gonna opt for a saber, got a nice 20% discount for st paties and then freakin ups has to leave it at the facility till tommorow (todays sunday for you stoners:lol:) :( only 15 miles away. whyyyyyyyyyy?? no superbowl sunday for me... now whether to save the urkle till tommorow...

on a positive note ill have a use for my china bubbler again :)

btw @SSVUN~YAH your beautiful collection of log vapes almost had me choose different, kudos man im jelly and ive never even seen one in person! lol, but alas i couldn't resist after people the likes of iwien advised that this was a killer. Me gusta a powerful vape. I should mention tho that its not gonna stop me... just gotta recoup :)

It's only been a couple of days of discipline, and I decided to take the small cotton pad and roll it into a ball, and put it on TOP of a capped ELB, set to 3:00. OMFG!!! Seriously delicious taste, dense whitewall, and a punch to the head! This ball of concentrate won't stop pumping out clouds either...actually had to take a break, but i'm curious to see how far it can go. Guess I have to find out now!

Try leaving it there for a week!! I do and Friday night is pure oil time with the LSV!!
Super dense, delicious vapor that just keeps pumping!!
Another LSV bonus!!!

The only thing I change is that I do not vape the bit of cotton in the middle of the ELB, only the bit in the second adapter!
Oil is pure yellow and no bits of herb, very nice oil!

I do have one of those 18 14 m2m adapter and will try it with the beagle. But these oil rigs are so small that I got to wait for my claisen adapter to have the vaporizer not pasted to my face.

Lazy lathe and Biohacker,

Why is it that drips oils? Do all vaporizers do that or is that the way it goes with the evo elbs?

Never had any oil drops forming on or in the ELBA, usually I get a small drop forming on the glass of the M2M.
Maybe try starting at a lower temp and work your way up to see if that helps.

I know that if I use my glass straw on my MiniVap and start at a high temp I get more oil in the glass than if I started on Blue and worked through the temps.
