@NorVape, YES! I want to do some of those longer Viking symbols on the ring at the base. I have to work on that.

And YES. I agree. Racism is the stupidest thing to try and live by. Yesterday someone posted on FB a video of a Native American screaming at a bunch of "Illegal Immigrants" -- he was screaming: "You are the Illegals! We didn't invite you here!" - hahaha

There is so much proof (hidden until recently) that shows that the Vikings, Chinese, and many other cultures had travelled to the "New World" waaaaay before Columbus was even an itch in his daddy's pants! Before his great great great grandparents, actually!

Huge Chinese round rock ship anchors found in Florida... Viking Runes and ropes in the United States... those Buddhist artifacts in Viking burrial grounds... and more!

and @axakal, what are those designs called? I want to use those as well.

Will keep researching. :D

@M0J0
It occured to me a mandala with wings might look cool, if it's possible. Maybe something like the Ohm or the picture of the lotus flower on the woman's finger with wings.

Yes.

And I had also forgotten, until I saw your avatar. Metatron's Cube!

Yes, a metatron would work. I like the way it looks on the MFLB. It actually inspired me to download the picture that I'm using as my user icon. I think also just a teeny tiny little mandala (new word I've adopted after google searching) would look cool.

Thanks again @M0J0
Wife called my VM is snuggled up in my house awaiting my arrival. This was one of my best ideas yet. Ordering this vape and having it waiting for me really helping not think about my recovery!!!
Can't wait to get home and begin our glorious relationship!
A lot of awesome ideas floating around.

thoose are original concept art for a super fictional hockey team based on traditional viking imagery similar to what @NorVape posted, authored by a very talented guy nicknamed sparky chewbarky. he posted them at the sportslogos.net board. you can write him up and ask for permission to use it for your vapman designs. it's not copy right protected artwork, but i guess, using it without permission would be bad for karma. :)

Because of the shape and placing of the spot where the vapman tattoo would best fit (on the other side of the Vapman logo), I can't help but think it's reminiscent of a tramp stamp, or simply a woman's lower back tattoo - the kind that were popular for a while. I don't know if they still are. I just wouldn't want it to remind me of the cheesiness of some of the popular lower back tattoos of that time.

Oh shit! I didn't know I was such a tramp at heart until I read your post!

In my subconscious mind, I've been such a whoar?!

:D:lol:;)

@M0J0 Not you. I just don't want the Vapman to look like a slut struttin around the neighborhood with a tramp stamp is all I'm sayin'.

The Vapman is a refined lady (or man) whichever gender your VM informed you it was or you chose....

The other day I asked for help in here and in the accessories forum to find a flint sparked torch lighter that didn't make the clicking sound that annoys spouses. In my thread over there, @Krizzle informed me that Zippo makes a flint lit butane torch lighter.

I'm particularly excited, because it is made in America and has a good warranty from Zippo. However, I can't figure out if it has the same forever warranty as the originals do (They once fixed my grandfather's Zippo for me for free and were nice enough to even tell me when it was made in the 1950's.)

I looked at these on the official Zippo site and noticed that almost all but the most expensive models are sold out, making me wonder if these have been discontinued? Anyway, I've got one on the way and will report back once I've had a chance to put it through the paces with the Vapman.

Zippo Blu2 on Amazon

Edit: I dug a bit deeper and found their guarantee in a downloadable user manual. They will fix any Zippo ever made for free no matter what. Any Zippo returned to them will be returned to fully functional condition, but the finish is not guaranteed for eternity.

I had one, actually the first model, and wasn't all that impressed with it. It's not silent by any means (you can mute some of the clicks, but the latch hitting the cap on opening makes the same distinctive 'clack' the traditional Zippos do. Have a listen:

I also found the lighting to be kind of a PITA. You have to depress the valve before striking so there'll be gas to light. Often my muttering when it failed to light made even more noise.

I think there's a good market for a silent lighter but I don't think this is the answer. It wasn't for me, anyway, but I did make a cigarette smoker happy when he foolishly said, 'hey, that's neat....'.

As the video says, "They will fix any Zippo ever made for free no matter what" is not true. Tamper with opening it and you're on your own.

I hope it suits your needs.

@OF Thanks for the video and personal review of this lighter. So it might not be quite as perfect as I had hoped, but it still might be a different enough sound that won't annoy my wife anymore. At the very least, I have a great excuse for another piece of vaping gear.

Edit: Just got my notification that my second Vapman is at the local post office and will be delivered in a few hours. I can't wait to check out the mica heatshield and fire that baby up with some nice hash. Guess I had better go shopping for hash today. . . .

Haha, I know - I was just messin' with you.

Tramped-stamped, slut-strutting, can be a good thing, every now and then, in the right setting. Haha

I was just joking as well! The idea of trampiness and sluts is so opposite of what I associate with my Vapman. My VM is so refined....I really want to keep it that way.

@NorVape I apologize for my slutshaming comment... I can agree that all Vapmen are beautiful no matter how they choose to live.

The parcel has arrived. What a beautiful little thing the Vapman is.

I know this has been touched on already to a degree, but I'm not sure I've found a definitive answer: how fine of a grind does the VM like? Are we talking superfine (like the MFLB finishing grinder), coarse and fluffy (like the Santa Cruz Shredder) or something in between? I do also like the inexpensive strainer method (proposed by Mojo iirc) but have yet to find an appropriate strainer.

Thanks for any thoughts...

Yes.

Try them all.

I like a fine grind that is interspersed with a few odd sized chunks. I believe the odd chunks allow for better air flow by preventing identically sized particles from clustering together too tightly.

I have found that if you want to top a bowl with kief or some other concentrate, that it seems to be better to mix the concentrate with the flowers in the grinder beforehand. A layer of kief on top seems to create an airflow barrier once it warms up.

If God is the answer, then the question is wrong
I think we couldn't quite agree on the grind, and therfore I suggest we carry out a study. In the name of science and public enlightenment of course :science:

I find my VM experience improved with MFLB finition grinder. From loading to vapor production everything is better IMO. Only bad side, maybe (not sure, I need to try again with a less fine grind), is more charring in lower part of the load if over heated (due to more point of contact between load and bowl walls, I guess).

Hey bro! Do you prefer your Vapman over your Lotus? Just wondering… :)
