This just got posted to Youtube. I think this is Stevenlmz79 channel. It looks like a very interesting egg. I just found out that Kaite2012 egg has a 14mm joint so I am curious what the one below has.

Yeah that's definitely Stevens channel. Looks like he has been secretly making fab eggs!

This looks really well done. I would just like a wider base and a joint support. Then it would be near perfect IMO!

Ordered Kathy's Fab Egg on the 12th to replace my Barrel to Funnel Recycler that a friend broke. Still waiting for it to ship. Ordered a quartz banger as well just for shits n giggles. I asked Kathy to replace all the glass accessories with a drop down.

Can anyone explain the function/perc of this piece to me? Will be using it for dabbing so I'm sure it'll be a good piece.

edit: oops wrong thread

I say take out the matrix perc and put in a simple 4 or 6 slit vertical inline (2 or 3 slits on each side of the direct inject but make sure it is closed off on the bottom!) You should have zero issues with splashback :)

I'm also in for a shorter mouthpiece tube. Or a bigger body to match the long mp.

Seems like we already have enough high diffusion pieces. I want another flavor saver like the FC-710

I agree, this peice that broke a couple of minutes ago only had a total of 3 slits and it was plenty of diffusion for me.

Im in the market for somthing pretty similar to the 187 but less diffusion.

Wait for Steven to come out with his UFO piece. I love my 187 but imo the matrix is to much diffusion for my liking. That's why my d022 runs the show for now. Some people don't like the little tumor thing on it lol but I don't mind it. I just fill it to the bottom of the perc so it doesn't diffuse.

Actually, I tend to prefer my GB-187-S Matrix for it's diffusion. I find it's just right for pairing with my Nano for great flavor. It's currently my favorite piece for the Nano.

Though I do have other glass like the OG D020 when I want less diffusion for my other vaporizers

Can't really find them anymore but my D020-W had a simple matrix perc with very few slits, provided a low level of diffusion

Edit, found one (though this seller is new to me, never heard of them)

I didn't have anything to do with Steven making this one but it turned out pretty good. His first water test video had way too much water and I told him the proper level and now it looks great.

EGGS: he wants to start producing eggs but is unsure because they will cost a little over $100 and he wants to be able to sell at least 100 units. I told him it is possible as long as they are well made. I know some of you wanted in the first run so perhaps you are ready to put your money where your mouth is. It needs a few solid reviews before most people will purchase.

The FC-CAKE is being remade with 2/3 height matrix perc and shorter neck. We will see how it turns out

There should be more prototype videos on his channel real soon https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCXBgg0U4jTBbniIakA8YM8w

I'll probably skip the first batch since I already have 2 China eggs en route. Might change my mind once it's on the site though.

I probably would buy one of the early eggs too if it has 18.8mm female so that I can use my EVO with it. It should not be fragile and should have a wide enough base that it could support my EVO with a low tipping risk. I'd risk $100 for that. Kaite's egg has 14mm joint on it and I don't want to use adapters for that kind of money.

I'm not sure why but I lke the form of having the joint coming out of the top like Kaites egg. Seems more stable for a vape. I just don't like the price! I messaged her asking to leave out any bowl, nail, or dome and she came back with $2 off of the $79.95 price tag. I offered $67. Her response was unclear but I think it was no.

I agree with your assessment. I sent her an email asking for $15 or $20 off since it was new and if I liked it I would write a good review. She just wrote back in slightly broken English to correct me that the intake is a 14mm and not an 18mm female like I thought. I will have to pass on her egg. She never even acknowledged I asked for a discount.

Prototype number one for this E-nail beaker / banger hanger thing is done. The blower got a little confused on this donut and the next model will be triple donut
other_995904022_00.jpg

it is 14mm joint
I actually like that more than I expected too. How tall is it? and is the dropdown supposed to be a natty perc like that, or did it just work out that way? If it's intentional, there should be more rise between the dropdown and the joint.

I don't think the dropdown is supposed to be a natural perc. I think there was just water still in there from when they filled it. But I'm sure @blankrider will correct me if I'm wrong :)

LOL no there was not supposed water in the drop down but apparently it can function as a secondary natural perc if you want. It is kind of like putting water in a J hook. Here is the original drawing I submitted to Steven with dimensions. I am not sure how closely he followed them but it look pretty close. I used a ruler when I made this so the drawing is to scale

I'm pretty new to vaping and it looks like most people prefer flavour retaining glass pieces when vaping. Unfortunately the material I get my hands on often has inferior quality. That's why flavour isn't that important to me when medicating. I like to extract the full amount of active ingredients in a reasonable amount of time so for now I use glass pieces mostly to get smooth hits when vaping at high temperatures. Honeycomb percs seem to be perfect for that purpose but HC pieces usually seem to be stemless (?) / without a downstem (?). I love to use the GB-187 because of it's dewaar joint which gives it almost no draw restriction at the beginning of a pull. That's why I would like to try a HC piece with a dewaar joint. Kinda like the hookah in Monsoon's post a few pages back. I haven't seen any bubblers like that. Maybe there are more people that would be interested in using a piece like that? I tried to visualize the idea (I hope I didn't step on anyone's toes by using the pictures):

Edit: This ashcatcher comes pretty close to what I was thinking about.

I got an egg from kathy. and i absolutely love how it hits. The perc fires evenely. all the water bounces and bubbles up evenly, and its a very smooth hit.

I really really like how stevens egg looks. a lot. It has the mothership look to it. I really hope the neck is curved on it. I really like how it has a female joint, but wish it was 14 for my bucket. Or he should have a male fitting since it will mostly be used by oil people. As long as the glass isnt too thin, it shouldnt need reinforcement, but it might not be a bad idea.

The only complaint i have with kathy is it is too thin of glass. even if it didn't come broken, you can just feel the mouthpiece is thin.

By the looks of stevens egg, it looks like his top part is too big, or his holes or too low. needs to have more openings coming up the egg. Kathy's egg hits better, although it is smaller, it is better proportioned i feel, like a real MS, Where all the bubbles meet and break at the top of the inside hollow glass, and then go up the mouthpiece.

maybe he was just hitting it too hard and i couldn't tell. maybe the water level is a bit off. but just my thoughts

@blankrider ive been hitting my fc710 all shatterday and also wanted to tip my hat to you as well and toss an idea out to see what you think. How about a 18mm female joint fc710 in 5mm thick glass? It could even be a little bigger and have the same type base as the fc187 instead of the flared out beaker style. This would be a log vape or EVO flavor saver for sure. I still hit my FC710 with my EVO all the time and love it so I'd definitely be on board for one like this. Thanks again!
Now...where's my dabber?...carry on FCers!
