All this talk of batteries crapping out on the crafty left me wanting to hit my volcano. I had been using only my crafty for the last 3 weeks. you notice a big difference in vapour quality. even at 8.8 the volcano produces very clean and pleasant vapour that one doesn't even think to consider water filtration. But the vapour produced by the crafty at 410'f can be a little harsh.

btw, if anyone is considering getting that volcano t shirt from the site, i recommend it. Its a thick fruit of the loom tshirt but the patching in the back is made of good quality and it overall looks like it would last a long time.

@h3rbalist thats funny bro! lol

Is there a plenty section on this forum ? because I can't find it.

I agree completely. I've been using my new mighty exclusively for about ten days. And just today I put on a new bag, a new solid valve, with new screens on my volcano. And was (re) blown away.

The mighty has a great taste for the first few hits, then as you increase the temps the taste fades until at 410, while not hot enough to be unpleasant, the taste is not that great. The buzz is however very intense for such a small amount. The efficiency is unreal. I literally cut my herb amount per average day to less than half.

The volcano, on the other hand, has great taste for at least one whole bag, not just a couple hits, and sometimes more. In the six years I've had the volcano, I've tried a lot of other vapes of multiple styles, but have never found a better tasting vape yet. I have not tried a herbie though, mostly the lower end whip types.

I love the person who invented spell check!!!
That session lasted me for 3 hours!! Tried to watch the first episode of Game of Thrones afterwards... Very confusing and weird!! Will re watch tonight and try and figure it all out!

It kicked my ass again, successfully!!

update. using the extreme q whip on the volcano sucked. it's not practical and I won't be doing it again.

$300 is not an exceptional price for a used Volcano- always seem to be some at that price or even a little lower on eBay. Buying local does let you inspect the unit before making a deal though. As for Volcano or e-nano, they're very different designs. Personally, I'd pay $300 for an e-nano if my only options were these two. I got tired of bag fill and I tended to use a lot more herb with that method. OTOH if you buy the 'cano and decide you prefer direct draw, you'll find the 'cano holds its value well for resale.

Does anyone else vape fresh buds in their volcano? I take a fresh bud and cut it into small pieces thick enough to cover the screen and fill a bag at a low temp. That bag may be, or more probably, may not be all that potent, but it does taste great. It always tastes fresh, sometimes it's perfumy, like hash, or sometimes almost like menthal. Anyway, after that first bag. Then I regrind the now dry herb, turn the temps up a bit and fill a nice bag. Sometimes the terpenes can be off the charts. I look forward to a few buds like this from each harvest.

Had my Volcano a week now and it is everything I could have wanted. Just a quick question though, I have the Solid valve attachment and have been using this bag for about a week now and it is getting a bit sticky inside , can I rinse it out with water or ISO water ? Or do I just have to replace the bag ?

Some reclaim/clean bag resin with ISO. I don't.

I have easy valve but make my own bags and probably change them once a month.

Not really interested in the reclaim, just want to a clean bag for as it is sticky in the middle and is taking longer to fill up.

Thanks for the prompt reply, just the clean freak in me coming out. Hope you are having a nice cloudy afternoon :)

Clean is cool. :)

Working now, will be clouding it up in a couple hours.

If you are going to change bags a lot I suggest the silent bag material on ebay. You get 5 rolls for $20. Much cheaper and quieter.

While I only change bags once a year.. that is my only tool of longevity.
I too am a neat freak... and clean wands and hoses daily.
If (rarely) I use glass, I clean it after that same session!.
The Volcano bag escapes my fanatic scrutiny, and in the cleanest of circles, is acceptable when sticky inside!

I ussually use turkey roaster bags in the extra large size. Most stores that sell groceries have them. And with a solid valve I change bags when they start to turn yellow and get sticky inside. When I change bags, I clean the valve at the same time.

You could recover resin after a wash if you use iso, or better yet high proof alcohol. I would filter it first with a coffee filter. That should filter out plant organic materials and plant waxes. Then evaporate off the alcohol. What's left is hash oil.

It shouldn't take longer to fill from being a bit sticky. It does get loud though and it can seem like it's taking longer, try timing the fill if you can. That air pump is industrial quality and is very consistent regardless of load.

I'm a heavy user on the cano. I probably fill 20-25 bags a day, 150+ bags a week between my gf and myself. I find I only have to change the bag every 2-3 months, sometimes even longer.
