Does anyone know the exact type of battery the GH is going to use? I tried searching this thread and could not find the answer. I am looking at a charger for my Arizer Air batteries currently and I would like to get one that can charge my future GH batteries as well.

Its a custom sized lithium-ion polymer battery that is roughly 6cm long, and has 750 mAh

@EveryDayAmnesiac your posts might be a little jacked up but I take no offense. I think you are making a valid point about human nature and how no one can ever be completely objective in their reviews. Especially prone to bias are: 1) people who are given exclusive access to early devices to do early reviews, and 2) early backers who have been waiting over a year for this thing and might be hesitant to admit it if the device falls short of their expectations (myself included...I too want to be vindicated and show the naysayers who was right!!!) . Fine. I don't think most people do it intentionally (even hipsters) but it does happen. Personally I fall into the camp of "even biased data is still data, and all data is good". So in reading reviews I try to look for common points across reviews and then evaluate inconsistent views so I can decide what works for me. So even though I agree that video was a shitshow (can't see how it couldnt have been given what was consumed) we were all warned and I took away some new data from it.

Remember the "seasoned veterans" who reviewed the Ascent before it was released and it was the greatest thing since sliced bread? And then real reviews came in from actual "regular" units and their users and the shit hit the fan?

This puts things into perspective for me. I bought an Ascent last summer after my Pax died, this GH thing wasn't ready, and I needed a new pocketable portable. I saw some of the negative comments but I needed something and pulled the trigger anyway. Turns out I really like the Ascent... not the best at any one thing but if I had to have just one vape to serve a lot of purposes that might be the one I'd choose. That said, I've owned about half a dozen of these portables now going back to the original Iolite and to be honest they've all made me happy and were successful in getting me quite medicated. After all we are reviewing vapes here, not machine guns or enema devices.

Point is that even though I don't have a device yet I am getting more and more confident I am going to like this GH when it finally shows up. Unless things are way different than how they've been presented so far, its going to get me nice and medicated and its going to fit into my pocket. There might be be glitches, maybe a return, and little issues that dictate how/where/when I use it compared with other vapes, but even "if the shit hits the fan" for others like it did with the Ascent I'll probably still be good provided I have a working unit. I'll post a review pointing out some details and impressions, but I'll understand if you want to disregard it given my predisposition to like it.

Can't wait to hear how this stacks up to the more powerful portables like the Crafty and the Lotus. I've been looking for something a little more discreet for my rotation and this could be just the ticket presuming the vapor is cool and dense enough and the battery life claims hold true. It's a shame I missed the crowd funding campaign; I probably would have pulled the trigger on a titanium one right then and there.

I could be wrong, but I think there's only one or maybe two LEDs inside the GH that shine through that ring of holes. Remember, those are air inlet holes doing double duty.
Ah, guess I was just looking at it wrong.

Are there any pictures out there of the colored units yet?

I keep thinking I'll just wait till some more reviews come out.....but it's testing my willpower a bit. That grey one looks smexy.

It's a tough choice between Stainless, Titanium, and Grey. I love the matte finish on the grey, will keep fingerprints at bay. It will be interesting to see if there's a performance difference.

Pulled the trigger on the titanium. I love the Air but wished it was a bit stealthier in terms of pocket bulge. Between the size and the heat up time in the video, I am beyond sold.

I picked up a nitecore charger for the Air batteries. Has there been word about using external chargers for the Hopper batteries, or will they have to be charged only in the unit itself?

We don't know what theyll look like in person yet, Hopper is supposed to post pics of the first Ti units so we can see colors etc. At least that's what I'm waiting for so i can decide between blue or grey to go with my ss...

@pootsforjesus they plan to offer their own external charging, we dont know if nitecores are good enough yet

From what we have seen of the grasshopper so far....

With it's Lightning fast heat up, ability to do a full spectrum of extraction, deliver heavy medicating hits, and a great price on the stainless unit. This looks like it may be an incredible unit for medical patients. With the hopper at your side night or day you can have the unit pumping heavy medicating clouds in seconds. This can be a god send for those with chronic ailments that present themselves suddenly or need fast effective dosing i.e. pain, muscle spasms, nausea, insomnia, etc.

Just my :2c: I have high hopes for the hopper from what I have seen recently.

@beware116
It will be very interesting to see if there will be any noticeable performance difference between SS, Ti, and Ti colored theoretically the Grey Ti should be the best performer being closest to black it should have the highest emissivity. I will put my Grey Ti through extensive testing when I receive it... for :science: of course  .

I was going to use mine with a bong, if I want to try it at a higher temperature. So, I'm sticking to SS and applying the savings towards some new glass.

I'm curious: if one used it with a bong, is there any danger of the unit, itself, overheating and potentially becoming damaged or combusting?

Is the grasshopper useable without a battery. I mean, can I use it when the cable is plugged in and there is no battery in the hopper?

- The dial: Do you feel clicks when you turn it? And when you reached temp 5 and keep rotating it does it go back to temp 1 or does it stay on temp 5?

Pretty sure it can not. The charger doesn't provide that kind of power on its own I believe. But it charges the battery fast and production version will be faster.

Also dial has full spectrum, so there shouldn't be clicks at the dashes since you can stay anywhere between them, and it doesn't go all the way around, you have to turn it back.

@beware116 Buzz did post a gif clouding the D021 on level 5

@falcopus It will not work without a battery. The heater can kick out a lot more power than the charger can :)
a) So, no real passthrough here either, just like the Crafty, right?

b) If you load smaller, like 0.05, can you stir by tapping the unit on a hard-ish surface or the palm of your hand? Or is the extraction uniform enough to NOT needing stirring?

c) What's the inside of the loading chamber lined with? Ceramic? Teflon?? Easy to clean that surface? Crafty's SS bowl isn't…. :\

d) After all these days, how does it feel compared to the Crafty in terms of vapor production and quality of vapor?

e) Thanks so much for the vid mate! I am sure it took a lot of effort but I am also sure you enjoyed it as well! :D

Sunshine store on dhgate. I think he even said it in the video if I heard correctly? I have that one too

Thanks for the quick response. I'll check them out. Any idea how fast this will ship to Europe and also what's the quality like.

No idea about Europe, ask the cheap glass guys in that thread maybe? Quality is fine glass, but I think it cold be a little longer, a little tricky to fill it to the right amount though. Honestly I haven't been able to use it much with the vapes Ives had. Hoping the hopper will change that
