Discontinued The Herbalizer

Regarding the smell issue, I wanted to add that the smell is at its strongest when the halogen bulb is on, that is while the unit is heating up. Even without the fan I notice a very distinct smell.

So if anyone could do me a favor and try this. Turn your unit on without the bowl. While it is heating up, you should see the light turn on. With the light still lit, put your nose above it and take a big whiff. Do you smell anything?

No smells on mine

The 'screen sandwich' technique works best with 1/3 bowls worth it less in my experience. Any more than that seems to bog down the fan. Again, in my experience.

Been making sure that all my screens are clean, I'm back to white walling the bubbler.

Tried the ssv tubing but don't really have a preference. The herbie whips have a sweeter taste and the ssv tubing is more flavor neutral. Those were my observations. Do people have a similar experience? I'll prob alternate.

I really enjoy starting off at 380 and taking a few hits. The flavor is awesome. Jump to 415 and clouds are denser and finish with fan assist at 445. This is my only flower vaporizer ( also can do concentrates- enjoy sandwiching some thick CBD oil between two pads) that can give me a dab like experience (I may have read that in the past). It really medicates and does it quickly and efficiently. I guess there is no need to sing its praises because it's been stated so often but want to share my personal experience.

I keep switching the herbie screens for cleaning, but i still like a truly new screen occasionally for best performance. Anyone ever find some much cheaper alternatives to stock herbie screens the same size? Ill buy 20 in bulk or so

Good luck. I gave up and bought 15 from Herbalizer. The few extra $$$ wasn't worth the hassle for me wait or cut something down. I now have plenty I keep in rotation for my two bowls. I plan to stack 15 or 20 dirty strings right on the heater output and crank the fan running at 445 while I have a hydratube mounted on top. It will clean my screans and clean my thoughts

Will you explain your technique? Many of us have not found ourselves able to whitewall our bubblers. I'd also be curious to know what kind of bubbler you have.

I have tried the SSV tubing and have not experienced any thicker or denser vapor. I do have the tubing cut a bit longer than my herbalizer tubing, not sure if that plays any part or not.

If you really want to whitewall it...clean your screens, grind your bud, fill it to the flare and let her rip. The second hit should be the money shot. And make sure you are using top shelf herbs...that's the most important thing.

Also, and this has been said before, I always open up the bowl after the first hit, and sometimes the second hit with sticky herbs, and knock the herb off the top screen. It likes to get stuck there and impede the air flow, making the session weaker. I also shake the bowl between hits for stirring.

I use a vapor brothers bubbler or my pukinbeagle. Everything stickstones said above. And I used ssv tubing instead of the herbie tubing. I bought the herbie from stickstones and he has been giving me great personal advice. I don't think any retailer gets as thorough as stickstones. Before i purchased, he asked all about my vape collection. He told me what accessories to use to maximize my experience. Sorry for partial derail.

Hey virtualpurple, maybe it's your medicine. I buy mine in slight bulk so mine is really dry near the end. I also grinded it up in my SCS a few days before and added a lil more flower than usual. I really think the dryness of your materials (quality too) may make the difference. Maybe it was the little extra I put. I think that helps in white walling.

I forgot to mention, I used the end of tubing as my 14mm male end and didn't use an adapter. My vb bubbler is 14 female.

I agree. The first 6 months I never used this mode but then I bought an Essential oil sampler pack off Amazon and have been loving the Aromatherapy mode. Like stickstones said it helps to freshen up your room. It is actually quite pleasant to put my nose at the output of the aromatherapy. It smells great and is relaxing. I am a bit concerned though whether aromatherapy mode could shorten the life of the Herbalizer bulb. It kind of feels like I am running a car to power a smart phone.

I can't find this online anywhere. I checked vapornation and the have the other parts I quoted but I don't see a spring for sale.
Hi john Lewus,
I really want to use the aroma-therapy mode. Do you still recommend the Amazon sampler or have you found better?

Sorry mods for double post. Need to learn how to reply within a message.
Modnote: apology accepted and posts merged.

That Amazon pack is great to sample. I find I like the eucalyptus, tea tree, and peppermint the best. The orange is too runny. The Lavender is nice if you like lavender. I gave away the last bottle of the pack.

Right now there is a slickdeals.net deal on tea tree oil. I bought two. I love the aromatherapy mode for making my room smell good. I wish the fan was quieter.

Herbie is so versatile. Since I use my bedroom as my vape room, it would be nice to give my room a freshening daily. No febreze or air fresheners. I want the all natural stuff. Taking the advice of John Lewus, I am going to experiment with some essential oils. Please join this discussion if you use essential oils and aromatherapy with your herbie. Forget candles, bring a date over and bust out the herbie 30mins beforehand.

Good strategy. I wish you could adjust the temp of the aromatherapy output. The peppermint and eucalyptus oil is my favorite for putting my nose right at the aromatherapy output and breathing in. It is relaxing but I think bumping the temp a bit higher would be nicer.

I worry about long term longevity using aromatherapy mode because it is still heating the halogen bulb although at lower Temps. As I said before it is analogous to running my gas powered car to charge an iPhone.

Maybe short sessions instead of 20 minute ones?

I thought that the aromatherapy mode used an exclusive non-heat fan? I didn't know the halogen bulb turned on during this mode.

I have never tried it, so I guess I should read the instructions while I wait for Amazon oils to come in. Bought a dropper too.

I thought it used the halogen bulb for aromatherapy mode based on what I remember Engineer talking about awhile ago. If someone could confirm that would be great.

For those that use this mode how many drops do you put on for each session? I find that 3 drops on the pad seems to be the max I can do with very little dripping into the herbie. Over time there is a tiny bit of buildup that I easily wipe off. I actually like that buildup because every time I open herbie it smells really good.

If you bought the essential oil pack those tiny bottles are designed as droppers.

I tried the screen sandwhich for fun, but it's not my style and IMO more trouble than its worth. In my opinion the hassle of removing the screen to pack and unpack each bowl, along with smaller capacity far out weighs the benefits.

That said, diffrent strokes for different folks is fine. The Herbie has a lot of verasatility, and there really is no right or wrong way to use it.

Hi. I was hoping to get some quick help on trying to figure out a way to connect the Herbalizer to a bubbler. I recently ordered a bubbler with an 18mm port and also have on order an 18mm to 14mm adapter to hook up to the Grasshopper once it arrives.

Is there an easy way to hook up this bubbler to the Herbalizer? Maybe some kind of whip attachment?

Thank you.

The whip from the Herbalizer will work. Here is a link to a water adapter that you connect to your herbie whip. Make sure you buy the right size

I do this a lot actually. At a minimum you need a glass whip adapter and a whip. You could probably use your herbie whip with this adapter but I opted for a larger diameter whip that was clear.

http://www.vapornation.com/vaporbrothers-h20-adapter-19mm.html If you search the thread you can see other examples of this type of adapter.

If you wanted all glass you could probably Macgyver something up with a bunch of adapters. Once I get my new glass from dhgate (any day now) I will see if I can make something work with a bunch of adapters I have laying around. On the EVO thread someone posted a cool pic of their EVO upright with two right angle adapters and a claisen in the middle. You could do the same with Herbalizer but would need a hydratube adapter. Ratchett sells one in his 3d printed store or you could buy a glass adapter and set it on top. Either would work.
