Dont see the problem with the mouthpiece that everyone is mentioning, making it unstealthy. Cant see it really makes that much difference to the form factor and many pens out on the market have exactly this design with a silicone finger grip. It comes as an option, either use it or dont its no biggie

Meanwhile at Grasshopper Labs: Look guys, we received some parts! In all honesty I don't expect this product to ever be finished and if it does I'm not sure what to expect performance wise. Just feel sorry for everyone who keeps waiting.

EDIT: Just saw the preliminary review and it seems pretty promising actually, guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Haha yeah dude, have you seen the latest updates too? Hasnt been just about parts coming in for quite a while, theres a lot of test videos and completed units now, only a couple tweaks happening to this version. Last update they were in China making sure everything is good to go for the full production run

Yeah, when your "pen" is making huge clouds of vapor, no one is going to be suspicious because of the mouthpiece...
And anyway, as Buzz keeps saying, it takes a few hits to even get hot enough that you'd need to use it, and if you turn it off between hits you'd probably never need it.

this grasshopper looks nice.

do you think it will be better than the dark knight sacrifice?

it's a good launch pad. grass hopper has a good campaign.

i hope the best, haven't gotten on board, yet.

Yeah man, I don't think there will be any need for the silicone sleeve under normal use conditions. Buzz and his friend were hitting it very hard and fast in the video. If you're turning it off between hits for 10 seconds or so, I think you'll be able to take as many hits as you want without the mouthpiece getting too warm. I think it will be a non issue for most people.

My days as anyone's "champion buzzmate" are long gone. At this point I need very little to sustain me. And I think that's how it should be. To keep this on topic I'll say; for my needs what I have seen of the Grasshopper in action so far more that will meet my needs.

"Heat up time" is a bit generous. It only took a few seconds longer to heat up than the FF, which most people seem to allow as having "instant heat". Very impressive. I'm excited to see more opinions on the arguably subjective topic of vapor quality.

It struck me as weird from the first time a saw it, why a ring of lights? It seem...tacky? Low rent? Cluttered? I don't know quite the right word to describe it. Just 1 light seems like it would suffice. Or maybe an unbroken ring around the base if the clicker.

And yes I realized I decried their ring of lights, then suggested a ring of light as a better alternative. But damn it I'm not a designer, I just know something feels off.

I actually like it. To me, it's pretty classy.

I could be wrong, but I think there's only one or maybe two LEDs inside the GH that shine through that ring of holes. Remember, those are air inlet holes doing double duty.

@Snappo @slick he approves of his sidekick superhero vaping name :)

Which will drain the battery faster, keeping it on between draws or turning it off and on between draws?

Its tough to tell which way actually lasts longer. A couple times I have felt sure it lasted longer when I have been clicking it off, other times it seems to last longer when you keep it on. I *THINK* if you keep the unit on, hit it repeatedly without much waiting in-between draws it would save more battery to keep it on. But if you are going to wait 10-20s inbetween draws, and vape at a more casual pace, I think it might be better to click it off each draw (purely from a battery preservation standpoint, but this is mostly speculation from non-exact testing)

It actually heats up faster than my Firefly, the only vape that can start kicking out *some* vapor faster seems to be the mflb, however the mflb produces the vapor at a MUCH slower pace :)

You are correct, there is one dual-colored LED on the inside.
