I'm definitely in love with the Crafty, and can only imagine how great the Mighty is, but I still love both my Solo and Air just as much. They all have their pros/cons, but I still don't think you can beat the value on arizer products.

Good points. I won't part with my solo, it is a solid reliable unit that is great for my liight weight guests or when I feel the urge to spend 11 min or longer sipping on .2g of flower.

...and that is exactly why many people prefer the mighty/crafty over the solo/air.

the extraction is so much faster with S&B products. not that arizer is bad, it is just "slower".
and not to forget about the draw resistance the solo/air have.

if the solo had the same (non existent) draw resistance as the mighty...... I would still use my solo....and buy a air. :leaf:

...my :2c:

I would say 80% of time, I want quick and maximum efficiency like my mighty. The other 20% of time I want a slow sipper, use my solo or ascent on low temps. Since joining FC, I have changed my style with conduction or conduction/convection vapes to low temperature for longer flavorful sessions.

I never intended a mighty to replace a solo though. A solo is wonderful but it is definitely a slow extraction and it can frustrate you if it's your only device. That said they're very reliable, easy to repair, and Inexpensive. I still love them for what they are and IMO a product that usually sells for $120 can't possibly run with one that never sells for under $450. You would hope there's a noticeable jump in vape quality there right?

I think having a volcano for home use and a mighty for small loads and or loads on the go pretty much covers all my vaping needs. And buying at the top of the market, or highest quality assures me I won't be tempted to buy cheap and work my way up, until I have a drawer full of unused toys.

Can't say it always works out. I bought a pen for vaping e cannabis juice, that I don't use, lol. Just saying......

Got mine! Bowls don't seem to last too long and the auto off is bugging me but hopefully I will get used to the Button press to keep it on. Nice clouds though. Gonna put it through it's paces today.

I've been setting mine to 380F but I start hitting it at about 378, I get about 5-6 hits before the temp catches up, and the vibrator goes off, because it wont turn off until after it reaches the set temp, then I just boost the temp after a couple hits as I go. You'll probobaly find your own technique, but this works for me. I found using the tampering tool to pack a bowl changes the characteristics of the session a bit, as will finer grinds, and hash. Happy vaping!

I notice ripping through bowls with my crafty faster than I could fathom. A smaller stem in my air or solo lasts much longer. Is there a faster extraction? Does this diminish efficiency?

If you want longer sessions, you could raise the temps more gradually, and use a finer grind and a full bowl.

I have been packing it full and packing down. I still think a minute is way too short for an auto off, 2 or 3 would be much better IMO, but that is just an annoyance.

It pushes GIANT clouds and is very powerful. I have been very pleased with it's performance. I have been starting at like 190 and going up and I get a nice long session. It won't replace my solo of course but I will use this mostly at home. It is really entertaining and I feel like the Build quality is very nice. It feels solid and the power button is solid in place.

Edit: but i have had this session going in on 20 minutes and still going! Raising the temp works.

Seriously in love with this vape already. I can get thru a session without it auto shutting off more than once or twice. I always pack by hand and tamp down the load after I load a tiny bit by hand so it's dense. I start at 190 and go up and have been getting nice 10-20 min sessions.

Definitely a GIANT fan of this vape and will be using it around the house a lot. Wish there was an easy 18mm adapter for it.

Edit: I should mention I have been getting uniform cooked ABV which I am very happy about. Every load I have done has been extremely evenly cooked.

I found the one minute shut off annoying at first, but the unit is so efficient , that now I'm glad it turns off after a minute, saves your product.

And, you can always just click the on button within the minute, to keep it going.

I'm getting used to the shut off after a couple weeks. At first it used to startle me when it vibrated, lol. Now I keep a finger on the up button and hit it occasionally after it hits the set temp. If you ride the temps all the way up, I think you get about everything out of the herb, it sure does look spent after a session.

I'm also noticing the differences in flavors out of different varieties. Bubba kush is not my favorite, but it retained a very nice taste all the way through the temp range better than any others so far. I just wish it wasn't so couch locky, because it tastes great in this vape.

I think for me, cleaning it after about 3-4 days or about twenty bowls will work well. I've been using the cut screen trick on the bowl top, so all that's getting in my cooling unit is sticky resin. Clean up has been easy with rubbing alcohol and a q-tip. I rinse it in water, pat off with a paper towel and let it air dry a little while. It takes 4-5 minutes, unless your really ripped, lol.

@shredder is the cut screen trick just putting a screen on top of the load? I pack mine very full and my cooling unit and the screen to it still looks very clean but I don't want to let it get too bad.

I Seriously haven't touched my log vape in days which has never happened. I just love this little guy so much. Really glad I spent the money on it.

IMO my favorite part is I finally have a heavy hitting portable that can get to temp in about a minute or two and I can either destroy a bowl (And myself) in 3 minutes flat or chilll on it for a good 10-20 minutes. But the most important one IMO is getting a serious blaze on fast in a pinch. That was my only gripe with the solo really was that it took about 5 minutes to pack and heat and sometimes I just wish I could have killed a bowl that fast.

I use a lot of less than full loads during the day, so the screen helps out, not sure that you need it on full bowls. I still can't get over how much buzz you get from such a small amount of herb. Some of my bowls are about a tenth of what I would roll in a joint, lol.

And your right, it's crazy convenient, maybe too convenient to vape a bowl in minutes.

Another nice feature is the battery strength. So far I have never used more than four bars out of six. And that was from heavy use among friends. And twice in two weeks I went two days on a charge. I plug it in at night next to my phone.

No pix, but I bought a plastic foam lined pistol case for mine for $6 at Dunhams. It's big enough to hold the filler tool, a grinder, some herb, a few alcohol wipes, the brush, and the vape. It weights ounces.

I have a similar case for my china recycler but I might be investing in a slightly nicer case for my upcoming custom piece.

I have only not done a full packed bowl once and found performance was not that great past the initial 2 puffs. Would a screen to keep it in place have fixed this? It was maybe half full loose pack. I always do very dense and totally full pack and get very good performance with that.

Man you are spot on with the convenience factor. I still love my nano and my solo but I easily see this becoming my new go to. I might just have to DIY a 18mm honestly to keep puffin on it all day long and keep the dry mouth away. I haven't been this happy with a vape purchase since the nano though.

Oh yeah do you actually use the filler tool then? I have never used it. I thought it looked silly I guess and just went straight for packing it tite.

guys a question about the mighty:

considering that it has pass through, ie works on dead battery, say in the future the battery dies, does that mean I can use the mighty pretty much as a desktop?

there has to be "some" battery left, no actual pass through. it's more like "using while charging".

on a completely empty battery it will need a few minutes to store some energy before it can be used with the charger.

If your Mighty isn't heating on empty batteries right on the same second you plugged it to the wall, it's faulty.
"Being able to suck enough power of the wall to use the device without draining the batteries while charging them same time" is the way a good power management charges the batteries. Mighty has a simple "pass-through" by definition of the words. Charges and drains the batteries at same time. Exactly like the crafty does. Only the charger is way more powerfull, so mighty can simply charge faster than it drains the batts, imo...
There has been a discussion somewhere on the last 10 pages of this thread, too, just about your question about abusing the mighty as heavy user desktop device.
Short answer: we don't really know yet... But the device seems not to run properly with faulty batteries. So you might have to replace them anyway after some time, even when only using the mighty at home plugged into the wall.

@tdriver

Try some tasty hazes. They will stay tasty until completely vaped (or is it only the residue in the CU?). Super Lemon Haze is very tasty to vape. Candy Kush is great, too. Don't like Bubba Kush if not combusting it (Did I really say that? I mean the disgusting combustion taste is hard enough to mask the Bubba Kushs strange heavy after taste)

Exactly how I do. Using the left hand to hold the mighty. The little finger is just on the "up button" and I still can see the display...

Try on your backs if you can scratch the new labels with a nail. Better use a screen protector even for the back? Looks quite ugly but I couldn't stop to fiddle around.... Border line? Have to get black scotch fast.

My first unit lost only his serial even when scratching, not the paint of the entire label...

Getting my Mighty today! I read something about not removing a label the directions tell you to remove. Can someone elaborate? Thanks!

I clean my CU with everclear and after alcohol gets a nice brown color after a few runs I freeze it, strain it , and reduce it down for a nice oral I take daily. By the time I run out I already have more made. Then I make a sleepy time green Dragon abv every time I get 10 grams of abv. My herb is going miles further than ever before from using the mighty:spliff:

I currently have a crafty that I use pretty much as my all around unit and I absolutely love it!!!!! The only problem is that when I want to show it off I can't trust the battery life to give off the amount of time I need for a couple back to back sessions with friends who I am looking to convert to vaping, so I always seem to follow up with my pinnacle pro which is fine, but nowhere in the league of my crafty. With all that being said I think I will be looking for a home unit to feel that void when needed, I want to purchase another s&b product, and wanted to inquire with some "mighty" owners if the mighty may be that void filler for me....... Or should I possibly look at acquiring the always reliable volcano or the new and improved plenty. Thanks for your input in advance

Yup, I always use the filler tool. I find it very handy. And the top of it holds enough for about four bowls.
